Elise tried to mop the blood from her palm, sheathing the dagger, but her attempt was a failure. Without water, she couldn't clean any filthy blood off the wolves.

Even though she explained her combat to the others, calling it a momentary thrill—which it really was, as far as she was concerned—she didn't like the blood on her person. As for the craziness growing in her head while on the hunt, she was still clueless about how to stop that.

Elise was fascinated with how they were manipulating the human brain. That was one of the big reasons she still stuck with the game, despite valid reasons for her to never log back in.

Anyway, she was far more psychologically prepared now than last time.

"Mind is the most important thing to master if you want to fight," Rin advised her. "After all, the first step to combat is being ready to hurt someone else. That's not something easy for a normal person to uphold."
