Chapter 4 : Stealing Weapons from Ray Smith

3rd Person's POV

" Hahaha , look ! Aren't they compatible? " Ray's face was getting ugly as he listened to Mr. Wilson's words.

The man smiled at Francine gently , takes her hand , and kisses the back of her hand . " Hello , my dear fiancee . I'm happy  to meet you." Francine could not help but subconsciously shiver from the guy's cold lips .

" Maximilian! Quick , bring the gift to your fiancee! " Francine had no time to react as she was pulled by the man named Maximilian into a room .

In the room , there were countless jewelry, skin care products, exquisite gowns , branded bags, and other things a woman love.

Looking at this things, Francine was dumbfounded. " This..."

" This is my gift for you." Maximilian interrupted her words and answered with a smile . " I'll send this to your house tomorrow." He added .

Outside the room , Ray was talking to Mr. Wilson in an anxious manner .

With the music still lively outside the room , it contrasted Ray's gloomy expression. " Old man Wilson , I think my Francine doesn't like to be set up with ." The crackle in Ray's voice can't be hidden as he stared at Francine and Maximilian pair inside the room. The longer he looked at the pair , the more compatible they are together. Thinking about this , Ray's dark aura was released even more .

Ray was scolding himself in his mind . This should not be happening. He plans to break the engagement between the two and make his eldest daughter, Kendra , the fiancee of Maximilian! The sole purpose why he invited Francine was for her to personally break the engagement. That way , there will be a higher chance for it to be cancelled. He just didn't expect that Maximilian, who rarely smiles and was known as the title of ' Ice King ' , would like his daughter, Francine .

" What does not like to be set up with ? Even if we don't set them up , one look at them and they will surely have a future together! Ah , my dull son is finally putting a woman in his heart ! " Mr. Wilson was still daydreaming until Ray exploded . His face was red in anger . He is angry to his daughter but did not show it , so he vented his anger to himself instead.

" Francine , let's go home in an instant! " Ray's loud remark broke Mr. Wilson's daydreaming . Ray silently thought in his heart . This shouldn't be happening! Maximilian should belong to Kendra !

Francine on the other hand raised an eyebrow and followed her father . But before she could walk farther, her hand was grabbed by a larger palm . Maximilian stuffed his card that contains his phone number and smiled at her once again .

Francine followed her father silently and glanced at the card in her hands.

On the way home, Ray and Francine did not talk until they reached the mansion. After she went out of the car, Ray immediately went inside hurriedly. This made Francine think , how did she provoke him ?

Well , not that she cares anyway.

Thinking about this , Francine entered the Smith family's mansion and went directly into her bedroom . First thing in the night, she will definitely go to her father's secret underground warehouse to steal some weapons.

She was about to wash up until she saw the card the man gave her . Wait , what was the man's name again? Ma, Maximilian?

And his father .....Old man Wilson ?

So this man's name was Maximilian Wilson?

Wait .....this name is very familiar.

Francine thought for a while before she remembered a few fragments of her previous life .

In her previous life, Maximilian Vash Wilson, who was known in the title 'Ice King ' and was ruthless when it comes to killing , was admired by all the people . He led his team of four to kill zombies and established their own base . He was admired by countless people in the apocalypse and was regarded as god in the apocalypse.

Francine only has one thought now . Why did the ruthless and heartless man, act so gentle towards her ? Francine also didn't know why herself.

After thinking about the reason that cannot be answered, Francine decided to push that thought away for now and focus in stealing . Looking around her old room , Francine realized that she still has so many things left in her room here.

( She stayed in the Smith family's mansion for the night .)

When the clock strikes exactly 12:00 in the midnight, Francine woke up and readied herself.

Francine dressed herself in non descriptive clothes and covered her face .

Avoiding and disbanding the surveillance cameras with the help of the system , Francine walked through the corridors , her footsteps soft and light .

[ Mistress, I found a secret door inside the office at the corner of the east wing . ] The system notified Francine .

Francine slightly paused before moving towards the office .

[ I've already deactivated the iris scan so you can just press the button located here . Mistress , I've also deactivated everything below .]

" Is there an exit below ? "

[ Yes , there are two exits .]

A digital overlay showed an outline at a certain location. Francine pressed it and a hidden door opened underneath the large desk .

Seeing that no one was there , Francine carefully went down the stairs and closed the hidden door behind her . Walking for about five minutes down a narrow walkway.

As she walked on the narrow walkway for a while , she stumbled on a large warehouse sized space full of large sturdy metallic boxes, lined and stacked up to the ceiling.

" System , identify this things ."

[ Mistress, these are weapons and drugs . ]

Francine was not so surprised because she knew that the Smith family was doing some shady things .

However, Francine should thank them for giving her free weapons so she swept everything into her space, emptying the whole warehouse . Seeing three doors come come into view now that the warehouse is empty. Francine walked towards the smallest door . The system already bypassed the lock so Francine opened the door easily . Walking down the hallway into another open warehouse area .

Seeing the familiar 6x6 security container that is commonly used to transport heavy and important cargo , Francine asked the system to identify the things inside .

[ Mistress, those crates are full of silver and gold bars . ]

" How much ? " Francine asked while looking at the boxes quietly.

[ There are a total of 3,000 gold and about 2,500 silver bars . ]

Heh . Francine smiled evilly and started putting the things into the space and she was in a very good mood today. After sweeping the warehouse where gold and silver bars are located , she directly went into the next warehouse .

The next warehoused was filled with useful things . Half of it were machineries and half of it was weapons and ammo.

The next warehouse , which is the largest of the three, was a room for processing drugs and weapons . Several robots are working non stop, constantly producing drugs and ammunition.

Patting the invisible dust in her hands , Francine was delighted and hummed a song as she exited the underground warehouse. When she walked out , it was already 1:00 o'clock in the morning.

Francine avoided the surveillance cameras and went back to her room, change her clothes and laid on the bed . She was wondering what would be her 'good father's ' reaction when he knew his underground warehouse was robbed .

6 : 30 o'clock in the morning, Francine got up and washed up . Choosing a simple white t -shirt and jeans , she prepared to go out .

Passing by the kitchen where the Smith family is happily eating , Francine scoffed . She used to get envious of this scene in her past life .

When Kendra saw Francine , she immediately got up and smiled at her gently. " Little sis , come and eat . Its been a long time since we spent time together.  " Francine was immediately disgusted and directly refused . " No thanks , I have many things to do . "

Kendra did not make things difficult for her and Francine swiftly left the Smith family's mansion.

Opening her mobile phone, Francine looked at the date displayed on the screen . She only have two months to prepare for the end of the world .

Thinking of this , Francine immediately went back to her house and listed the things she needed to buy.

February 2, 2050 . Two months before the apocalypse.
