The Space Ring

The inside of the store was dimly lit, but the decor was quite nice. Clark's expression was icy. He bent down, entered the store, and compared the location on his phone with the surroundings.

"should be here," Clark muttered to himself, completely ignoring the tattooed man who was rushing toward him. He placed his phone aside and, with a slight movement, easily evaded the incoming punch.

"Sidestep and elbow strike!" As if predicting it, Clark shifted his steps behind the tattooed man. With a loud "bang," he slammed his hard elbow joint into the man's spine, causing him to scream in pain.

"Shut up." Clark's right fist whizzed through the air. his powerful punch knocked the man to the ground.

the tattooed man continued to curse and spit blood, his chin bleeding from the impact:"You dare to kick my door? You're looking for death!" The man, full of resentment and anger, struggled to support his body and reached for his waist.

Clark's gaze turned icy, and he stomped down forcefully with his hard-soled shoe. The sole struck the man's temple, rendering him unconscious in an instant. The dagger he had just pulled out fell to the ground.

With a kick,Clark pushed the man's body out of the way. he casually surveyed the interior of the tea house.

In the previous life, there were some omens before the apocalypse arrived. Some nodes where reality and alternate spaces converged had already appeared on the eve of the apocalypse.

In his memory, there would be an extremely rare piece of equipment here. It was a ring that integrated space ! As a space ring that was a must-have for everyone in movies and novels, it was extremely rare in the apocalypse, and not just the ring itself, even equipment in general was scarce. Unlike regular games, you didn't get rewarded with equipment just for killing zombies.

In the apocalypse game, most of the awakened individuals, who were far stronger than ordinary people, might not even have a piece of equipment to call their own, let alone a space ring.

In the previous life, this precious space ring fell into the hands of a small-time thug. He not only awakened his talents with the equipment but also established a safe zone with the ring's storage function. The space ring could store supplies, preserving them and keeping them warm. It was a weapon for survival and mayhem in the outside world!

Clark was searching around with some anticipation. Half an hour later, with a splash, he helplessly poured a bucket of ice water over the tattooed man's head. The man shivered all over from the cold water and instinctively cursed.

"You...!" Before the tattooed man could finish his sentence, Clark kicked out and shattered his teeth, causing a mix of blood and broken teeth to scatter on the ground.

"I asked you a question, you answer. If you can't keep your mouth clean, you might as well die." Clark said with an icy gaze, ready to kill the man if he made any sudden moves.

"Gulp, don't kill me!" The tattooed man seemed to realize his predicament as he swallowed hard, looking at Clark with fear. He used to be arrogant, bullying others, and abusing his power. But when he encountered a real tough guy, his true nature of cowardice and weakness was exposed.

"Where is the ring? Or any jewelry?"

The tattooed man hesitated for a moment, thinking Clark had come to steal something. Was it theft or robbery? He wished Clark had clarified earlier.

"I don't know, I'm not the owner here," the tattooed man replied hesitantly, his speech slurred.

Seeing that Clark's expression was turning ominous and it looked like he was about to kill him, the tattooed man hurriedly continued, "There seems to be a lot of stuff in the second-floor office, but it's locked!"

Once Clark got the information he wanted, he kicked the tattooed man's temple with a powerful blow, causing the man to fall unconscious. As for picking the lock, that was child's play. Being a military veteran, he had practiced lockpicking skills.

Time passed, and half an hour later, Clark violently broke down the door with a fire axe. The expensive wooden door's anti-theft lock remained intact, but the central part of the wooden door was marked with signs of being forcefully broken. High-end lock-picking techniques were often straightforward.

Clark turned on the lights after entering the room. he carefully examined the interior of the room, and something unusual caught his attention.

"Is this a spatial fluctuation?"

The room seemed to have been uninhabited for a while, and a faint musty smell hung in the air.

In the corner of the room, there was something the size of a fist, a mysterious and eerie black object floating in mid-air. The black color seemed to occupy a void.

Clark took a deep breath, his eyes fixed on a silver-white speck within the blackness. He was overjoyed; it was the space ring! This ring had caused quite a sensation in his previous life.

Everyone in LJ City knew that the thug had made his fortune here. He transformed from an ordinary person into a powerful awakened individual. Finally, he established a safe zone outside the city. The legendary equipment was right in front of him!

Without hesitation, Clark reached out to touch the ring, but his fingertips seemed to vanish. Ignoring the anomaly, he plunged half his hand directly into the blackness and retrieved the ring.

An unending ripple spread out instantly, and a terrifying aura emanated from the black hole. Suddenly, a roar came from within the black hole, and a dense aura of death began to spread frantically outward.

Run! Clark grabbed the ring and bolted! Although he didn't know what he had provoked, it seemed like a formidable presence.

In his previous life, there was no such commotion, so it might be because he took the ring earlier than expected.

Without thinking too much, Clark made a break for it, and a second later, he smashed a window and jumped from the second floor. As soon as he landed, an intense weakness and darkness filled his vision.

His consciousness faded, and he passed out instantly. The ring in his palm slowly disappeared, merging with him...

Wails and screams surrounded him as Clark struggled to get up from the ground, his head pounding. The air was thick with the smell of burnt rubber. The orderly lanes of the road were now completely congested, and the cacophony of horns mixed with screams formed a chaotic symphony.

"Bang!" Clark's pupils contracted sharply as a truck loaded with goods roared past him, narrowly avoiding him. He watched in shock as the out-of-control truck crashed through the guardrail, overturned, and spilled its cargo. The driver's side, with a concave skull that should have been dead, was crawling out of the wreck at an inhuman speed. Bright red handprints marked his path on the ground. Such injuries would have killed a normal person long ago.

Were these... zombies? Clark's mouth felt dry. He quickly took out his phone, and the time displayed on the screen sent a chill down his spine.
