Duke held the money, his face full of joy.

This was his first mission, and he had caught a wanted criminal.

Plus, earning so much bounty—there was no way he couldn't be happy about it.

"Captain, you were amazing yesterday. Before I could even react, you guys had already killed that guy," Duke said loudly as he pocketed the money.

Well, orcs sure give compliments directly.

Wu Heng said, "We used special equipment. Keep it a secret—it's our squad's secret weapon."

"Understood, I won't tell anyone." Duke thumped his chest with a loud bang and then asked, "So, do we have any missions today?"

"Missions aren't something that happen every day, and going on missions isn't always a good thing. You might run into danger," Wu Heng replied.

Wu Heng's thoughts were different from Duke's.

Back in Blackstone Town, he barely even went to the guild.

Now that he's here and the captain, he had to show up, but he was still thinking about how to take on fewer missions, like in Blackstone Town, so he could spend more time hunting zombies to level up.

"Oh, you're right," Duke nodded in understanding.

The two chatted in the lounge for a while.

The door was knocked on again, causing Wu Heng's heart to skip a beat.

Could it be another mission?

"Come in!"

A staff member entered and asked, "Is Captain Wu Heng here?"

"I am. What's the matter?"

"The renovation team for the commission you posted at the guild has arrived. They want to confirm the plan with you," the staff member said directly.

Oh, right, he had posted a renovation commission at the guild platform yesterday.

This sort of thing needed a plan to be confirmed, unlike alchemy commissions, where the work is done directly without needing much discussion.

"Let them come to the lounge."

"Okay."

The staff member returned with a middle-aged human.

The man carried a large roll of construction blueprints, looking quite professional.

He glanced around the room.

His eyes settled on Wu Heng, and he smiled, saying, "Captain, we are fully capable of completing your commission."

The living habits and furniture sizes between humans and orcs are completely different.

Orcs use larger, heavier furniture, while human furniture is smaller.

The middle-aged man spread out the blueprints and began explaining the layout and materials for the furniture.

The renovation in this world is different from the modern world.

There's no need for wiring or paint.

The floors are covered with planks, and the walls with something like wall fabric. The rest is mainly the usual furniture like tables and chairs.

Duke asked, "Captain, where to next?"

Wu Heng looked at him curiously.

"Yeah, the orc leather shops in the city are pretty good," Duke answered immediately.

He returned to the counter and said, "Duke, not at the guild today?"

"Grask, this is my captain. We're here to check out some armor," Duke said directly.

Hearing there was a customer, the orc immediately put on a smile and said, "Captain, what kind of armor are you looking for?"

Wu Heng glanced around the shop.

The leather armor was indeed available in two sizes: one for humans and a larger, thicker version for orcs.

He walked to a display rack in the center, looking at a heavy metal plate armor, and asked, "How much is this plate armor?"

The plate armor was huge, clearly meant for an orc's body.

The surface was bright silver, and the inside was lined with leather. It looked heavy and sturdy.

"If you're buying just this piece, it's 125 silver coins. If you need the helmet, arm guards, and leg guards, the total is 350 silver coins."

Wu Heng nodded and continued to ask, "Do you have any human-sized, full-body leather armor, where the torso and skirt are connected?"

"Yes, that type has better overall defense, but it's a bit troublesome to wear. Are you planning to wear it yourself?" The orc came out from behind the counter.

"Yes, bring it out so I can take a look."

The orc went into the back room and came out with a piece of leather armor.

It was human-sized, with the torso and skirt connected.

Wu Heng nodded, "How much?"

"You're Duke's captain, so there's no need to pay. Consider it a gift," the orc shopkeeper said generously.

It seemed Duke had some influence here.

"Hehe!" Duke scratched his head and laughed on the side.

Wu Heng glanced at him and continued, "I'm giving it as a gift too, so just name a price."

"Oh, it's a gift? In that case, this one is 25 silver coins. If you want a helmet, arm guards, and boots, it'll be 18 more silver coins."

The price wasn't too high. Leather armor, despite just being leather, varied in cost depending on the craftsmanship and materials.

If he were buying it in Blackstone Town, a set like this would probably cost more.

Wu Heng felt the price was acceptable and asked, "How many do you have?"

"You want to buy more?"

"How many do you have in stock?"

"There are about a hundred in the warehouse."

"I'll take them all, and I'll take that metal plate armor too."

The shopkeeper's eyes widened a bit, looking at Duke in surprise.

He seemed shocked at Wu Heng's willingness to spend.

Duke said, "Captain, are you planning to resell them? Many merchants do that, but it's not as easy to make a profit now."

"Shoo, shoo!" The shopkeeper pushed Duke aside and continued, "There are a little over a hundred sets in the warehouse. I'll count it as a hundred for you, plus the plate armor, so that'll be 4,650 silver coins in total."

Wu Heng nodded and was about to agree but then asked, "Buying this much armor—will the Inner District authorities care?"

"Do you live in the Inner District?" The orc shopkeeper immediately replied, "We can deliver them in batches. With just over a hundred sets, they won't care. If you were buying more, it'd be better to rent a warehouse in the Outer District."

"Alright, deliver the goods, and I'll pay you."

"Deal!"

With Duke in the middle, both sides felt at ease.

After sorting the goods, they headed to the Inner District together.
