Norrix, the vampire they found in the Proudblade Mausoleum, was leading them inside the dungeon. He confidently led them to the right, and they saw a lifelike statue of a warlock in the middle. It seemed to be holding a key in its hand.
"Now, before you rush in, watch," Norrix took a pebble from the ground and threw it in a random direction. The floor rose, and spikes extended from the ceiling.
"Is there a trick behind this?" Dorian asked, looking slightly green at the sharp, black, spikes.
"There is, the stones are steeped in mana. The right ones have less mana than the rest, watch me go and step in the same pattern," Norrix waited until the floor lowered back in place, and then began to skip in a pattern. He made it to the statue of the wizard and waved.
"Let me go first, I can sense the stones," Morris turned to Dorian, waiting for the tank to give his consent.
