The escape from Elfior part-1

Evani overheard their conversation while hiding behind a thick brush, her heart pounding in her chest.

Without wasting a moment, Evani raced towards Kiyoshi and Sakura's treehouse, her mind buzzing with the urgency of the situation.

"Why are you helping us?" Kiyoshi asked, his voice filled with curiosity and a hint of suspicion.

Evani replied breathlessly, "It's something the goddess revealed to me. We don't have time for questions. There's a high chance assassins will strike tonight. The cover of darkness will conceal their presence, and only guards will be patrolling the area."

Sakura's eyes widened in alarm. "Then we must leave immediately," she declared, determination shining in her voice.

Evani shook her head, frustration etched on her face. "No, it's impossible. They won't allow you to leave so easily. The security during the day is formidable, and they anticipate any attempts to escape."

Kiyoshi's brows furrowed with worry. "What should we do then?" he asked, his voice laced with desperation.

Sakura interjected cautiously, suspicion lingering in her words, "Kiyoshi, how can we be sure she isn't working for them?"

Evani's expression turned serious, her eyes filled with determination. "I understand your concern. then I will be bound by an oath—an oath that no elf can break, sworn upon the Elfin Flame."

Sakura's eyes widened with recognition. "The Elfin Flame oath," she whispered.

Evani gently took hold of Kiyoshi's and Sakura's hands, her voice sincere and resolute. "I swear upon the Forest Flame, the Elfin Flame, that I am with you and will help you escape. Can you trust me?"

Sakura's tone softened a hint of reconciliation in her words. "Very well. We trust you now."

Evani nodded, a glimmer of relief in her eyes. "The best time to act is the night before the assassins arrive."

Bowing her head, Evani apologized sincerely, her voice laced with regret. "I'm sorry for the behaviour of my father and sister. They are not the only ones with such prejudices most of the noble are the same. But deep down, I yearn to be like everyone else and explore the vast wonders of the world."

Kiyoshi's face lit up with a joyous smile. "If you ever wish to embark on an adventure with us, send a message to the Ramiya Adventure Guild addressed to Kiyoshi."

Evani returned the smile, her countenance brightening. "I will keep that in mind," she replied, her voice filled with newfound hope.
