Before Norman could leave his bed and see what was happening, the door to his room was opened, allowing him to see four people he immediately recognized.
The one responsible for opening the door was Bernard who let out a sigh of relief to see Norman in a relatively healthy state.
As for the three people, well, Mary Jane and Gwen looked at each other with confusion and visible surprise at the presence of the other, but undoubtedly the blonde was the more surprised of the two, as she could see how the redhead was holding a child protectively in her arms.
Harry on the other hand was just looking around the hospital corridors searching for something or rather someone, his eyes quickly found him and as quickly as he could, he managed to free himself from MJ's grip, who only shouted unconsciously: "Harry!".
Norman by this time had already gotten up from his bed and just looked at his son while running towards him, he lowered his body a little and opened his arms so that in a few seconds he could feel how the little boy hugged him.
Subsequently, he simply got up with Harry in his arms: "It's all right Miss Watson" he mentioned simply: "You'd better go in before someone complains because of the noise" Norman pointed out while he nodded to them to come in.
Just like that and with Gwen and MJ somewhat embarrassed by their previous behavior the three people including Bernard entered the room.
…
"How did all of you find me?" asked Osborn, as he didn't remember the news saying which hospital he was taken to, only that due to the sudden situation they had been taken to different hospitals.
"I just asked Dad," was Gwen's reply.
"Bernard brought us in, I honestly don't know how he knew" replied MJ truthfully and Norman just took his gaze to the man in a butler's suit.
"I contacted the directors of the two hospitals where the Oscorp employees were taken, thereafter, I just asked to know which one you were in" knowing full well that he was asking for an answer, Bernard spoke.
Norman nodded at that course of action, since it was the most logical thing to do, although he didn't find it necessary to call the directors, but it was obvious he was in a hurry to find him: "Bernard, could you go get some food, I'm sure Miss Watson and Harry haven't had dinner as well as you" asked the Osborn, and then he looked a little at Gwen: "Have you had dinner?
Stacy unconsciously shook her head: "Also bring some for Miss Stacy and make sure that her and Harry's meals are not spicy," said the Osborn again, remembering that both people are not really good with that kind of food.
Bernard just nodded silently and walked out of the room leaving four people in the room.
Norman just took his gaze to Harry who looked a bit tired, not that he could blame him, by this time he was usually in bed and about to sleep.
Carefully he placed him on the bed in the room and put a blanket over him: "I'll wake you up when Bernard arrives to have dinner together" he explained to which the little boy only nodded before his eyes started to close.
After that, he turned his gaze to where the two young women were sitting, he really had his suspicions about whether the two knew each other, but as he had more important things to do he simply ended up forgetting that fact.
"Do you two know each other?" asked Osborn as soon as he was closer to them.
They both just nodded at that question, "We've basically been best friends since high school" answered Mary Jane while Gwen nodded at her friend's words.
"The world really is small" was the only words Norman could express in that situation.
"That's not what's important!" suddenly exclaimed Gwen, but not enough to disturb Harry, she quickly walked over to Norman and took a good look at him before taking his hand and leading him to one of the beds.
"You should be on bed rest, even though you only received superficial wounds and burns you still need to be rested after all you just went through a traumatic experience and that's not counting the accident you were involved in some time ago" Stacy told him quickly as she tried to get Norman to lie down on the bed.
"Miss Stacy I appreciate the concern however there is no need for it, I am the one who knows my body best, and therefore I know when it is right or wrong, in this case except for various simple burns there is nothing to worry about" explained Osborn as he tried to reassure Gwen.
"I agree with Gwen" Mary Jane's voice was heard before anyone else's: "While it's true that you may know your body better than anyone else that doesn't mean you can skip treatment and rest, otherwise a simple burn as you call it could end up becoming something much more serious" explained the redhead with a bit of seriousness and concern.
Norman thought about it for a moment and realized that the words of both girls were right plus he really couldn't do anything at the moment, first he had to gather information and be on the lookout for another possible attack.
"Alright" Norman said before getting into bed however he didn't lie down instead he just sat on it, "Happy?" he asked which he only received a positive response from the two women, which brought a small smile to his face.
Just like that the chat between the three people started, after all Bernard would take a while before arriving, and it would be a bit uncomfortable to be in constant silence. Besides, it helped a lot that the three of them knew each other even, so they kept their voices relatively low-key so as not to wake Harry.
…
After a while Bernard arrived with many types of food, so Norman had to lift Harry up as he had said in order to eat, they really were a very peculiar group if one thought about it carefully.
It was also the first time Gwen and Harry had seen each other so they both introduced themselves to each other, they both seemed to get on well, as Stacy adopted a slightly more childlike attitude when it came to the young children which made her slightly more approachable than many adults.
Once everything was settled Norman decided it was time for them to go home, he would stay because the doctors wanted to keep him for observation.
But still both Harry and the other people had to go home, Bernard arranged for a driver to take Mary Jane and Gwen to their respective homes and although a little reluctant at first they ended up accepting it.
So, after they said goodbye to Norman and Harry they left to get to their homes.
"I think it's my turn to go too" mentioned Bernard to which Norman just nodded, Harry was in his arms asleep again, so he carefully handed him to Bernard.
"I'll see you tomorrow Sir" said Bernard and Norman nodded, "I'll see you tomorrow" he replied and with those words, the butler left the room.
After that Norman just sat on one of the beds and began to meditate a little, he needed to think about what he would do if in a twist of fate A.I.M. was not behind the attack.
…
At the same time in one of the cars registered to the Osborn family two friends were starting to have a chat with each other.
"So how long have you been working for Mr. Osborn?" asked Gwen curiously.
"A year and four months" answered Mary Jane quickly, "However I only met Mr. Osborn eight months ago when he woke up from his accident" she added.
"Why didn't you tell me about it? I knew you were a nanny, but I never expected it to be to Norman Osborn's son" questioned Gwen again.
"I didn't because I knew you would ask me to ask him about his research and even sign the poster you have of him" Mary Jane pointed out to her friend.
"I wouldn't have!" exclaimed the blonde, "Well maybe about his research yes, but ultimately, I wouldn't ask you for the second thing I'm not crazy enough to ask for that" she mentioned briefly as she defended herself.
Mary Jane smiled at her friend's denial: "For what it's worth I'm sure Mr. Osborn would gladly sign your poster" she said with amusement which caused Gwen to get a little embarrassed.
"Stop!" demanded Stacy seriously.
Taking pity on her friend Mary Jane decided to change the subject: "Besides, you're in no position to tell me anything, you didn't tell me you worked with him either" declared the redhead.
"You didn't ask me," Gwen replied, "But Mr. Osborn was right, it really is a small world," she continued.
Mary Jane nodded: "Yes it is" she said quietly finding Norman's words to be very true.
Along the way the two friends chatted about their experience working for the Osborn, especially MJ who had the most contact with the Osborn family.
