I was resting on a fuzzy pink cloud. After rubbing my eyes, I got up.
Countless clouds were around me, as far as the eye could see. The sky was a clear blue with a few weak rays of sunlight that brushed me.
My whole body felt comfy and warm. Out of curiosity, I began walking through all of the clouds. Then, a daisy popped out of the ground. It had a face with a big bright smile on it. Its head swayed back and forth as though it was dancing along with the beat of a song.
I admired it for a moment and unconsciously began to imitate it. It was as though the energy from the flower was passed onto me.
I continued to walk forth and even more flowers of different kinds and colors popped up. They all had bright smiles and danced together. Eventually, I couldn't help myself and began jogging, swaying my head with all the flowers and giggling to myself.
I lost myself in this place, spending who knows how much time.
Eventually, I came across a familiar red cloth laying down on the clouds. It was the red bow that Natsuki would tie in my hair every day. I bent down to pick it up.
Once I got up, I saw Natsuki. She had her back facing towards me and was slowly walking away.
I reached out my hand and called out to her with a bright smile.
"Natsuki!"
She jumped then turned around with a curious expression. Upon noticing me, Natsuki smiled.
"Hey, Sayori!"
I ran over excitedly.
But right as I was about to reach her, my foot didn't land on the pink clouds. There was a tiny hole.
And I fell through.
Natsuki looked distraught.
"Sayori!"
As for me, I must say the sensation of falling was a bit scary.
"WAAAAH!"
Ok well, maybe a little more than a bit.
...
Suddenly, my eyes flew open.
"AH!"
I shook violently and came to realize that I was on the bed with Natsuki. She still had her arms and legs wrapped tightly around my body. My chest felt a little sore from being pressed for so long.
As for Natsuki, she was awake.
Me screaming might've had something to do with that.
Natsuki pulled her head back. Her eyes were still half closed, probably not fully awake. After a few seconds, she opened her eyes and looked at me.
I tilted my head to the side with a small smile on my face.
"Hehe... good morning Natsuki."
Natsuki did not respond. Her mouth opened up unconsciously.
Other than her intermittent blinks, she froze up completely. It seemed like Natsuki was still in the process of making sense of this situation.
At some point, the faint blush on her cheeks grew brighter, until her whole face looked like a tomato.
Suddenly, Natsuki freaked out.
"WAAAAAH!"
She immediately let go of me and got out of the bed, sending the blanket high up into the air. The sudden gust of cold air made me shiver.
Natsuki pointed at me accusingly.
"Y-You, you!"
I lightly pressed my fingers together.
"I-It's not all my fault!"
Natsuki balled her hands up into tiny fists and rained them down on me.
"Uwaaaaah!"
Her hits were very light and numerous. I blocked her assault with my arms and averted my gaze.
"You were the one that fell asleep!"
Natsuki slowed down, like she lost the energy to continue.
"T-Then you should've woken me up!"
I put my hands on my cheeks.
"But you never told me that!"
Natsuki crossed her arms and looked away.
"Well, you didn't have to carry me up to your bed!"
Her fingers twitched, curling up ever so slightly.
"..And hug me so tightly."
I point at her accusingly.
"But you were the one that said catching colds was bad! Plus, you were the one that jumped onto me when you were asleep!"
Natsuki jolted.
"Eh!?"
Her knees began to tremble and bent inwards. Natsuki covered her face with both hands in embarrassment.
"Uu..."
I coughed awkwardly.
"Um, I liked it."
Natsuki flailed her limbs around in the air.
"Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!"
An embarrassed smile formed on my face.
"Ehehe..."
After a few moments, Natsuki took a deep breath.
"I-I'm going to prepare breakfast."
Then, she rushed out of the room.
I remained on the bed for a moment.
Hmm...
I uh, didn't take it too far, did I?
After giggling to myself, I got up and began changing into my school uniform. I took a peek at my clock, which displayed the time of 7:42 am. Considering that school started at 8:30 am, there was plenty of time.
After all, I would normally wake up at roughly 8:10 am.
...Though it was usually later than that. Because Natsuki would always wake me up before going to school, we were usually late together.
Apparently, she once had to use five minutes of yelling and shaking just to wake me up.
I was a bit of a heavy sleeper, hehe.
After quickly freshening myself up, I got downstairs.
