Chapter 66: Tazer and Annie

It has been months since Tazer and Annie successfully beat the 3 floors and got out of the Executioners tower.. Since then the two have been in hiding in an abandoned mansion at the west side of the city,

Annie was out training to fight with her personal weapons with Tazer outside the mansion, Now Annie has long blondish hair with a dyed red fringe on the left side and wears a red sailor top and a black pleated skirt.

She plunged towards Tazer with her chain wrapping him, immobilizing his movements although he wasn't moving to begin with, he was just standing there staring at her or simply observing her movements.

Annie threw Tazer towards a tree and without rest she continued her attack she came rushing in towards him with a baton, once she tried to aim for his head her attack was stopped by Tazer's left prosthetic arm and said,

"I'm not sensing the, intent to kill from you..."

He lets out a sigh as if they've had this discussion dozens of times but she still doesn't know how to do it right, Annie was frustrated and tried kicking him only to be stopped by Tazer's left leg as he parried her strike.

She backs away and throws multiple smoke grenades on the ground trying to disrupt his sight, in the mists she tries to distract him by throwing multiple objects on the ground also disrupting his sense of hearing, Tazer stood up and was calm he takes a deep breath and both prosthetics fell to the ground as his electrical arms were formed and were on attack mode.

He was calm and ready for her attack considering his eyes and ears were not trusted as of this moment he clenches his electrical fists and said,

"I see what you're planning to do, nice try Anni--!."

"Yeahh! keep talking and you won't be able to hear me comin!"

She thought she had a shot but blew it right after she spoke a word, Tazer grabbed her by the back of her sailor top and treated her like he was holding some trash and placed her into his eye level while she was squirming around saying,

"Let me go! Let me go! Let me go!."

"Alright."

He let her go and once she landed she gave him a death stare and tried to stun him with her stun gun but Tazer found out about her scheme and stopped her and said,

"You're movements are predictable, you must make the enemy think you're out of options or moves to fully land a perfect strike, if you continue the way you are now.. you won't be able to survive in this world."

She listened and made sure to remember what Tazer just said, she memorized every word in her mind while planning to make new weapons for her arsenal of weaponry, ever since they got out of the Tower, Tazer has been training Annie to help fight for herself in case they get separated in any way.

This way she can defend on her own or stall the enemy until he arrives and at the same time He has been helping Annie discover new possibilities with her radar power although they haven't really got that far yet.

"What did you mean by intent to kill earlier?."

"When you're facing an enemy you mustn't hold back on anything because I'm sure they wouldn't too, unless you're willing to test that out."

"I get what you're saying, but I can't do that to yo--!."

Tazer punched her head gently as he was somewhat mad from what she said.

"Fool, just because I'm teaching you doesn't mean you get to hold back, if you do you won't learn from anything, I appreciate your concern for me but I wouldn't be helping you train if you won't go all out against me."

"I see, I'm sorry."

She stood up and readied her footing, she was prepared for a round two while Tazer simply stood up in a lifeless and tired way and a wave of his hand he said,

"Let's get something to eat first."

"But I....."

Her stomach growls from starvation as she hides her embarrassment and faces the other way she replies,

"S-Sure."

Minutes later the two head for a convenience store, they were both wearing black hoods, so it'd be hard for people to recognize them, and even if they weren't Annie's identity is safe since her hair has grown and she's added the red fringe from her hair but for Tazer with no changes whatsoever since he loves the way he looks already and doesn't want a new hairstyle he decided to simply be cautious at his surroundings.

They both enter the convenience store and buy the food they want, Annie bought a burger and was busy what to pick from the different types of flavor of chips, Tazer bought three sandwiches. Once they were done and paid for the food they went outside and sat on a near by bench as Annie asks,

"And those would make you full? three sandwiches?."

"What about you? a burger and chips?."

"Touche."

They were pretty much enjoying their meal, and their lives for that matter since there have been no problems whatsoever, it's as if someone else has been protecting them ever since.

Tazer has notice a third presence but chose not to pay attention to it as long as it doesn't hurt him or Annie, but that presence has always been with them since they got out, at times Tazer would try to locate the third person but couldn't find them no matter how hard he tried.

"Hey Tazer, have you heard.."

"...?"

"There has been a rumor going on lately about all the Darkside groups are in a crisis right now and is heading into a war zone with each other."

"Ahh... I wouldn't care less about some third rate people."

"Well figured you wouldn't... but wouldn't it be fun if we were in a group?."

"What brought this on?."

"It wouldn't be about doing some bad stuff.. you know maybe we could help people or stuff.. or stop the other groups from doing bad things."

"Hmmm.. that does seem fun but we'd make a lot of enemies just by joining that specific group."

"I wouldn't care less for how many enemies we make or we may face as long as we can help other people in danger."

[Strange, how did my life ended up like this.]

An explosion occurred right at the park, the bench they were sitting on was somewhat close to the park and they noticed the explosion, Tazer stood up and said,

"We're leaving."

"Heh? just like that?."

"A battle is happening at the park and we're near from there, you must have forgotten we can't allow other people to see us right? then we're going back home."

He grabbed Annie's hand and the two proceeded to head back towards their mansion to be safe, until multiple thugs surrounded them, they were still wearing their hoods on so it'd be impossible for the thugs to know their identity but why are they here, he thought,

"Excuse me, lemme see your fa--!."

Out of reflex she bit the hand and Tazer pulled her away from the thug he then asked,

"What the hell do you trash want!?."

"OoOohh some bigshot ey?."

All the thugs were armed with mere pocket knives, Annie simply grabbed her chains and made the first move, she captured at least one and threw him towards Tazer, he removes his prosthetics and sliced the thrown thug towards him.

With the thugs getting a good visual on Tazer's Black electric claw one of the thugs recognized that from somewhere and said,

"Impossible... I thought he was in prison.."

The other thugs were clueless and confused all except for that one thug who recognized him, he was trembling in fear, his heart beating way faster than his eyes could blink.

Tazer removes his hood and plunged towards the Thugs and made a path he then said,

"Go! I'll meet you there!."

Annie took the opportunity and ran while Tazer was beating the remaining thugs and buying her time, meanwhile a guy holding a shield was observing from a far and got his attention to the one that ran away, he moved away from his spot and decided to follow that person.

[If she's the one I've been tasked to get this will be easy, but I need to get her Id for confirmation I don't want him to go mad and kill us all]

Tazer dodged a thug's slash and landed a punch at him and kicked a rock towards one of the thug's eye meanwhile Annie was still running, she never stopped but was worried for Tazer but had to keep going or it would have been for nothing.

She was slammed by a metal object, she was on the floor and her eyes were about to close shut from the impact, she could see civilians running around while someone walking towards her.

She tries to get up but was sprayed by something liquid forcing her to fell unconscious, the guy reached for her pocket to check if she's got anything whether something to confirm her identity but none so far.

"Tchh I guess she'll have to do."

He checks the image the was sent to him back and forth and compared the image and the actual person in front, although the faces were similar the hair color was what made the kidnapper hesitate but went along with it before any heroes show up.

A beep coming from his ear comm, he answered

"What is it?."

"We've got the two, where are you?."

"The same client sent us another job.. don't worry I took care of it and now I have the target I'll meet you guys at the car."

He picks her up and proceeds to head towards the rendezvous point while the citizens around were panicking to see an unconscious girl on the shoulders of a mysterious man meanwhile Tazer managed to knock out all of the thugs from earlier as he wiped the blood from his lips and said,

"Now.. Is this your doing!?."

He was walking calmly as if nothing happened, civilians were still panicking around him not because of him but because of what happened before he grabs a civilian from the sides and asks,

"What's going on!?."

"EEEKK! a guy kidnapped a blonde girl just now."

"Hehh!? Where direction did he went?."

The civilian points out his path as Tazer lets go of him, his eyes were filled with malice, his thoughts were only focused on one word "KILL"

"There you are Hanz!."

"Tchh he's brought another girl Ryan!."

"You got it wrong! this is the person our client wanted us to catch!."

He placed the girl in the trunk and two other people were in there as well, it looks like two students from the WordBagon Academy a boy and a girl, Anne managed to slowly open her eyes as the trunk lid closed and she thought,

[What's... going on]
