Rosalie's Doubts
She could tell just by looking at her mother how much in pain she was but even if standing just before her she couldn't reveal her identity and lessene her pain. Anna wanted to cry out loud but she couldn't.
She surpassed her emotions again and hardened her heart.
No, she can't break down at this moment. She needs to stay strong. Anna wiped her tears and washed her face with water from the kitchen sink.
She made tea and snacks. Anna opened the plate her mother brought and she saw there was strawberry cake in it. An instant smile spread on her lips. Her mother had made her favorite dessert, strawberry cake. She put the cake in securely so she can eat it later and prepared tea and snacks in one plate and brought them out.
"Please have some tea." Anna said and poured tea for both the women.
"Are you both married?" Mrs. Wilton asked while sipping on her tea.
"No aunty." Anna replied.
