Chapter 10 Awakening

Kakashi: " Idiot, you could've stayed hidden and used a better opportunity to land a hit."

Naruto: " Sorry, sorry, just wanted to save everyone in that moment."

Arata: " Stay out there and find an opportunity to attack from the outside..."

As Arata finished his words, Naruto had already entered the mirrors.

Naruto: " Eh? haha, that would've been a better idea right. "

Arata: "..."

Sasuke: " Idiot."

Arata: " No choice now... back to back."

As the three went back to back a bright light flashed and then Naruto and Sasuke was hit and sent flying. Arata was barely able to catch a glimpse and put up his guard and barely blocked the attack from Haku.

Haku: "... I have never wanted to be a shinobi, there is just too much pain. But if you advance, I will have no choice. Then I will kill the kindness in my own heart and fully embrace the shinobi way. There will be no mercy, no turning back. This bridge will be the battlefield where our dream collide. Now I must fight for my dream just as you fight for yours. Please do not blame me. I fight for someone who is precious to me. I live for him, and I face death for him, so that his dream may become reality. That is my dream. For that dream, I will throw away this kindness and do this the shinobi way... I will now go for the Kill."

Naruto and Sasuke: " Heh."

Sasuke: " If it is ice, then fire should be able to work. Fire style, Fire ball jutsu."

Flames came out from his mouth as Sasuke quickly performed hand signs and blew towards the ice mirror.

Naruto: " That's it."

Just as Sasuke and Naruto was waiting for the ice to melt, what appeared before them was still the hard crystal ice mirror.

Sasuke: " What."

Naruto: " If that doesn't work then I will find another way. Shadow clone jutsu."

Naruto used his signature move and a numerous Narutos appeared. They rushed out trying to find an opening, but Haku was just too fast for the three to keep up.

Arata had no choice but to wait for an opportunity. Since the fire ball jutsu doesn't work against the ice, his lightning finger won't do much damage to it also.

Naruto: " Shadow clone jutsu"

Naruto made the same move and spread out looked for a another chance. Just as the multiple shadow clones were getting destroyed once again, Arata finally saw an opportunity as he saw a shadow of haku.

Arata: " Lightning cloak" He instantly covered himself in lightning and made his move and dashed towards that shadow. 'bang'. Arata had finally landed a solid blow, however, Haku used the momentum from the blow and flew back into the mirrors while throwing several needles at all three of them.

Naruto fell into the ground covered with needles. Sasuke and Arata was gradually getting used to Haku's movements and attacks and blocked off the needles that flew at them.

Arata: " Naruto hurry and get up, we can't keep this up if we have to protect you."

Naruto slowly got up, " No one asked for your help." But he quickly fell back down. He used the shadow clone jutsu too many times and had exhausted his chakra.

Haku: " It's no use, he is already at his limit."

Sasuke: " Shit, concentrate... see everything."

'swoosh' 'swoosh' needles came raining down on the two while they protected Naruto who was still trying to get up.

As Sasuke was concentrating, he started to be able to see Haku's movement more easily. His eyes began to change. It turned bright red with a ring around his pupils. There was two tear drops formed on the ring. Sasuke has finally awakened his sharingan.

As the needles continued to rain down on them, Sasuke was beginning to easily fend of the needles.

Haku: " Could this be... sharingan... Such pure and beautiful eyes."

Arata seeing the progress of Sasuke's new strength, he knew that if he also doesn't upgrade his strength, Sasuke would become stronger than him.

Arata concentrated his chakra to the max and focused it on his arms as he threw multiple special kunai knives at the ice mirrors. 'puchi' Although the kunai knives didn't break the ice mirrors, it managed to pierced into and not fall into the ground.

Just as Haku flew out while throwing needles at the three, Arata saw Haku about to enter one of the mirrors that had his kunai into. "swish' Arata instantly appeared before Haku and punched at his face, sending him flying. However, as this happened, Haku managed to flick several needles at Naruto aiming towards his vitals.

Arata: " Not good, Sasuke watch out for Naruto."

Sasuke: " Shit"

Sasuke appeared before Naruto. Although Sasuke could see the direction of the needles, he was already exhausted and failed to deflect all of them and the needles fell to his body.

Sasuke: " Damn, this useless loser." And then fell to the ground.

Arata looked at Sasuke and said, " Shit, Sasuke get back up."

Just as he took his eyes off of Haku, Haku had already appeared inside another mirror and threw another series of needles at the two on the ground.

Arata: " Shit, I'm not gonna make it."

Arata pushed his lightning cloak to the limit and appeared before the two, he deflected some, but most of it got through to him.

Arata started getting weak and was slowly falling unconscious.

Arata: " I will not fall here... I can't... I must keep going. My promise to my parents... I will not fail them"

Arata slowly closed his eyes and tried to concentrate his chakra. Arata had trouble moving now, but at the moment, he didn't need to. He just emptied his mind and ignored the needles coming at him. Arata was still standing protecting the two.

Arata's body begin to be filled with needles, but to Arata, he felt nothing at all as it pierced him. The area around him began to quiet down.

When Kakashi looked at what was happening, he panicked. If he doesn't do anything right now, then the three of them will die and soon he will to if Haku comes and helps Zabuza.

However, Kakashi looked at Arata standing there with his eyes closed, shielding the two who have already fallen unconscious.

Suddenly, Arata felt at peace as he opened his eyes. His eyes were light purple with a small pupil but was surrounded by numerous rings.

Arata: " HAAAAA"

Arata erupted with a suppressing and terrifying aura as a giant wind blast came out from his body. When the wind blast came out, everything around him was shattered and Haku came flying out from his ice mirrors and landed on the bridge's edge. With the wind blast, the mist that Zabuza created was gone. It was only Arata, Naruto, and Sasuke at the center. Sakura and Tazuna was blown back from the sudden blast, but because of Kakashi and Zabuza's mastery of their chakra they stayed in place as they looked towards the source of blast.

Zabuza: " What the heck was that."

Kakashi was speechless and wide-eyed as he saw Arata's eyes. " Impossible, that.. that is the Rinnegan. Why does Arata have the Rinnegan."

Arata looked around him and then looked at Naruto and Sasuke that were still on the ground. He doesn't know how but he still sensed that they were still alive. He looked at Kakashi one more time and then fell unconscious while still standing there... still blocking Sasuke and Naruto.
