Chapter 4: Awaking From A Two Year Coma

I woke up again in the same room but this time it reeks of blood, my blood to be exact.

Next to me on my right, was the same man that saved me, he was sitting next to the bed, holding my hand?

I looked at my left and saw the doctor exausted on the chair, just what the hell happened?

The man groaned and wiped his eyes, when he looked at me, our eyes caught each other, honestly it's kind of awkward.

He blinked a few times and a huge smile creeped on his face.

"Doc! She woke up!!" The doctor who was sleeping, jumped at the man's voice.

Her head shook left and right to see what happened, she saw me and just like the man, she smiled widely.

"She woke up!! Its' a success!!" Now she was jumping happily.

The people who heard her voice peeked inside the curtains that covered my bed, they saw me looking at them and they rejoiced, they seemed so happy, like I've woken up from a coma or something.

"Little girl, you've been asleep for two years" the doctor said.

Say what now? TWO years? You have got to be kidding me.

I tried to speak but a bit of blood came out from my mouth.

"Don't try to speak, you are still in no condition to speak or move" she said.

"If you want to know what happened, rest first, we'll talk tomorrow" the doctor said.

I slept and waited for tomorrow to come.

I opened my eyes and saw that man again, he's holding my hand again.

The doctor came in and smiled at me. She was holding a pieace of cardboard. She put the cardboard below my index finger.

"Tap on that board twice for no and once for yes" she said, I tapped the board once.

"What I'm about to tell you is what happened after Alei brought you here" she said looking at the man beside me.

So, he's name is Alei. I tapped the board once.

She continued," when you arrived here, I could smell poison on you, and a very powerful one at that. To top it off, it's been more than a day since you were poisoned and we had no idea what kind of poison it was, I thought to myself that it would be a miracle if you survived.

I did everything i can to remove the remaining poison that wasn't absorbed by your body yet, it was a success but the worse was yet to come. I searched for a way to cure you but I only found 1 result and I thought you wouldn't be too happy with it, so I tried again but no luck.

After a few days, you woke up. Your skin was paler than snow, your eyes were blood red and your hair turned white due to the poison. Seeing this, I made my decision, There was only one way to cure you.

I pried open your mouth to give you a special medicine but instead, you vomitted blood. It surprised me but because of this I knew what kind of poison entered your system. It was good news and also bad news.

The good news was, we had the cure, the bad news was, you've lost too much blood. I called Alei to assist me, we were gonna do an operation right then and I needed someone to assist me.

A few hours later, the operation was a success, the blood was also enough. We thought you were cured but we later found out you went into coma. Your fat self is no more, now you look so skinny.

These past 2 years was quite difficult, every now and then, you would be in a critical state, sometimes a cardiac arrest would occur. There was also that one time 6 months ago, where you woke up half conscious and ran wild, we had to restrain you for 7 days, after that, you went into coma again.

It was hard but we didn't give up on you, we did our best to let you live and when you finally woke up, we were so happy that we cried. It was truly a miracle" she finished her story. She cried bit too.

All I can say was 'wow', why would all these people do such a thing to this extent for someone whom they don't even know. I wish I could speak and ask them why. Too bad that I can't yet.

I heard a groan next to me and saw Alei wake up.
