Flashback 13

Before Athena could utter another word, Artemis cast an immobilization spell, ensnaring her in its invisible grip and suspending her alongside Aidan. Panic surged through Athena as she gazed at Aidan, her heart heavy with dread. Casting her eyes downward, she met her mother's gaze, only to be met with a chilling expression of satisfaction.

Athena's fear intensified as she sensed a shift in her mother's aura. The familiar warmth and light of Artemis's magic had been replaced by a dark, malevolent energy, radiating an aura of cold and sinister intent. 

As she struggled against the bonds that held her, Athena realized with a sinking feeling that her mother was no longer the benevolent figure she once knew, but a harbinger of darkness and despair.

Her mother is gone.
