Jimi handed her the pen and ink. Meiyin exhaled and held the pen.

"I accept " She signed on Party B space and closed the pen

Jimi took the contract, closed it, and filed it back into the envelope.

"As the only witness to this contract signing, I hereby make this contract incorporated in reference of both parties "

Jimi announced and stamped it as valid. A loud sound of clap came from Rui and Meiyin looked at him with confusion.

"I hope to have a good cooperation with you, Ms. Zhang. " He opened the door and left.

"We will meet up later in the day " Jimi bowed his head, took the file, and left the room.

In the White Bugatti.

"Jimi, contact the public department of the company and tell them I give them ten seconds to get rid of all those comments online " He silently entered the passenger seat and folded his hands.

"But.... Would it not raise people's suspicion? I mean if they see that you intervened in her matter. Rumors would start " Jimi plunged the key into the keyhole and started the car.

He wore his seatbelt and strapped it at the end. He adjusted the side mirror and waited for his command.

"Then I will drive " Jimi sighed and started the car and drove to the office.

Meanwhile, In Ruyue's house.

She made a huge mistake and had to be punished. Ruyue stood up and observed the punished child.

"You made me so worried. I stayed up all night looking for you!" Ruyue answered back with worry.

She sneered at the begging girl and allowed her to stand up. Meiyin ran to her and snuggled her.

"You can punish me anyhow you want. I promise I won't do it again, do not be angry at me ." She pinched Ruyue's ear.

"Yinyin, Where were you last night?" Ruyue asked and halted when she noticed Meiyin's mood swing.

"I went to see my mother. "

"Meiyin, I did not mean to bring it up, I seriously did not " She slapped herself real hard.

She knew Meiyin's mother is a sour topic to her and swore never to bring it up ever again.

"I do not mind. " Meiyin paused and then sheepishly smiles. "I want to ask you something, do not be angry "

"Go ahead "

"If your best friend agrees to sign a contract marriage with someone who you do not know, what would you do to that friend?"

"Who is this friend? You are talking about?"

Ruyue picked up her cell phone and scrolled through her posts.

"Just imagine....you know?"

Meiyin said as she jerked up with the sudden grab from Ruyue.

"What?! My arm hurts!" Meiyin shrieked in pain.

"Take a look. " She handed her over the phone and she stares at it.

The whole fight video of the Zhang's was cleared in under an hour. He was really powerful, but why would he help her?

"He cleared it that fast?" Meiyin murmured and stared at the cleared rumors.

"He? You have been sounding and looking weird ever since you arrived. Are you sure there is not something you are hiding from me?" Ruyue asked.

She always knew it would take heaven and earth for her best friend to open up on an issue bothering her, all she could do is to be supportive of her.

"What can I hide from you? We are friends and best friends for that matter, I can never hide anything " She rubbed her tingling red nose with her palm.

Lying to her only friend who she trust made her feel so bad. But it was for the meantime, right?

"At least I just have to keep up with the lie for two hundred and seventy-nine days " She encouraged herself and went into her thoughts.

Her life was not going to be that easy. Lying to her friend, hiding her pregnancy from the media, following her dreams on the runway would pose a threat to her yet she was determined.

In Yun Xi apartment.

"Miss Xi " Her manager called out as she turned on the light of the apartment and sees bottles of beer and the whole furniture messed up.

She walked straight into the room and saw the tired and sobbing Yun Xi.

Ever since she was disqualified from the list, she became sorrowful and only drinks.

"You can not do this to yourself." Her manager collected the wine bottle from her hand and drops it on the floor.

She crouches down in front of Yun Xi and helps her up. Her eyeballs were all swollen and red from the bags of tears she released.

"I can do what I want!" Yun Xi rolled her eyes and reached for a packet of cigarettes in her drawer.

She tore the packet, took a stick, lit it up, and put it in her mouth. She puffed out smoke as she laid face up on her bed.

"Facial beauty are models pride, if you ruin yours, how would you make money?" Her manager still tried to plead with her but Yun Xi turned a deaf ear to her.

In every industry, there was always a stubborn artist and its agent. Yun Xi was an example of such a stubborn artist.

Yun Xi won the attention of everyone when she walked her first runway therefore she was easily recognized and did not expect that she would lose to such a mere new model.

She looked at the mirror and strode close to it. She flipped her hair up and smiled.

"Tell me how I am not beautiful as her?" Yun Xi balled her fist and gritted her teeth. She fought for all her resources without any strong background.

Her mother was shot by a bullet nine years ago and ever since that she fought for herself. Her father got divorced and remarried into another rich family.

Her mother was her only life survival but after her death, she was stranded.

Yun Xi could not afford her accommodation and was forced to leave with her slime uncle who made her sleep with him behind her aunt's back.

She felt hostility towards him. His smile and his touch all made her barf in disgust. Her emotional health was damaged and probably her mental health.

She lived in fear of being exposed not that she did not want to run away from her uncle's awful touch, she did not want to betray her aunt's trust.

Not too long, her aunt found out that she was pregnant for her husband's child and got kicked out. She had to save up money and abort the child.

From that day, she promised to make everyone who made her life miserable have a sad story to tell.
