Giselle giggled at Deacon's remark and held out a towel to wrap around the little boy as he emerged from the tub. The water was like mud. She shook her head that he had run around in that condition.
"Get dressed and come to the hall when you're done. I will be waiting."
Deacon nodded, and Giselle left him to finish getting ready. She smiled at Kane as they left the bath.
"Deacon is a sweet boy. He is just a touch rough and tumble. Oh, I wanted to ask, when do we meet with the attorney and court?"
"They should be here in another hour," said Kane, looking back at the clock on the mantle.
"I would like to finish our chat with him. Maybe we can all have a seat in your study where there is more privacy?" She smiled at Kane, and he saw a twinkle in her eyes.
"I think that would be smart," his brows raised as he answered her.

"Deacon, do you know why you are here?" asked Lord Alexsander
"No C-c-commander."
