The Forth Chapter

"I know that smile. What are you hiding from me, Hannah Jones?" My younger sister asked with her cheeks flushed red.

" Oh come on Rache, there must be a reason you called me" I diverted the attention to her because I didn't want to blab about all that happened today. I was low key embarrassed.

Imagine telling someone that you woke up at five o clock only to miss your first class.

"Well". She cracked a smile. " You still remember that guy I told you about?"

"Babe, there isn't a guy you ever crossed paths with that you've never told me about". She pursed her lips and rolled her eyes. I chucked.

I was just being honest though. Rachel is only seventeen years but has been in at least four fights with girls for voluntarily hanging out with their boyfriends. Some say she's for the streets, I say she's living her life the best way she knows how.

"I'm talking about Gabe. The one that took me out on an ice cream date three weeks ago". She noticed that I was still confused and rolled her eyes. "The one who's ex-girlfriend", she paused, "Bianca came over to the house last week with her squad to confront me". She shrugged.

"How could I forget him?" I covered my eyes and tilted my head. I couldn't believe myself. How could I forget after my mom called me with fury in her voice, to give me all the files about Rache's scandal?

I actually don't know how she managed to get out of that one hey.

"Well", she cleared her throat, "he asked me to be his girlfriend in front of the whole class and I said yes" she grinned.

I didn't know what to say. It was too cheesy for me, but she seemed to be really excited so I just opened my mouth wide, so wide that if my room had flies, they would easily enter. Gross, I know.

"Um... whaaat?"

She laughed out loud. "Oh yeah"

"Yeah neh, you must be really thrilled" I smiled, displaying my Colgate teeth, then frowned at the thought of Brenden. Brenden is or was, actually I don't know, Rachel's boyfriend. She's been hanging with other boys behind his back. Poor guy.

"What about Brenden?" I asked then scowled.

"Well, I'm gonna break up with him tom..."

"Wait, I think there's someone at the door" I cut her off because I thought I heard a knock on the door.

Yeah, I did hear a knock and it was Clara. She must have tried to unlock it using her key but couldn't because I had left mine inside the keyhole. I went to the door and opened it for her. She just stared and held herself from shouting at me for leaving the key inside the door as she was really tired from walking from her faculty to res. The African sun also didn't make it any easier for her. She just threw herself onto her bed and I closed the door, going back to my bed where I had left my phone.

"Babe you were still saying..."

"Eish, I was saying I'm going to break up with him tomorrow. I don't know how I'm going to do it though. There's no easy way to do it, is there?"

I just looked down because she obviously didn't need an answer to her question. I just pitied the poor guy. He had been loyal to Rache and that was the thanks he was getting.

She noticed my lack of interest and changed the subject. "Enough about me and my drama. How was your first day Han?". She asked with curious eyes.

I breathed in and out heavily. " it wasn't that bad, I guess."

I didn't lie. My day might have started on a rather dramatic note but it turned out well. The caffe latte and doughnuts are the cherry on top for me, oh, and Blake's eyes. So cute.

"Oh come on Hannah, I want details". She pouted. "Are you saying there aren't any hot guys in your class? There must be one that caught your eyes." she winked at me and stuck her tongue out.

Well, there is one that caught my eyes, but he isn't in my class. And it seems like he hates being here.

I smiled.

"Damn Hannah Jones, you don't say huh". She said after noticing the smile and then laughed. What's his name? Is he cute?" I kept on smiling and didn't say anything. "Oh my gosh, does he have abs? Come out with the details Han". She was getting impatient with me.

"Well, he's not in my class and..."

"Oh my word, I can't believe you, Hannah. We've been face-timing for more than half an hour and you didn't even have the decency to say anything?" She teased.

"Well I don't think he likes me. He didn't even ask for my number". I shrugged.

"This girl, how are we even related? You've been stuck with me for seventeen years and haven't learned anything from me?" She covered her eyes in disappointment.

"Hey, young lady. I may be many kilometers away from you but I'm still your sister. So watch your mouth" I laughed

" Ha ha ha, so if you're saying he didn't ask for your number, then it means you guys spoke"

"Well yeah, we had coffee together. He ran into me actually , spilling coffee all over me, and bought me another one"

" Oh my gosh, Hannah. That is so romantic. Awww" She pretended to be wiping tears off her cheeks and I laughed.

" Babe, why are you so dramatic?" I asked a rhetorical question, laughing.

"You know how much I love cliché stories, Han. I hope you got angry at him, or at least pretended to be" She said with a smirk.

"You though, it was an accident. Why would I be angry at him for something that was out of his control". I shrugged.

" Oh I forgot that you're a snob, that is always buried in her books. You should consider watching romantic movies hey. No wonder you've never had a boyfriend". She burst into laughter. I joined her.

"Ehh, okay. Continue insulting me and we will see who ends up with a broken heart" I said pouting.

"Come on babe, don't be bitter". She chuckled.

"Anyway Han, I have to start doing my homework. I had so much fun talking with you sis. I miss you". She frowned.

" I miss you too babe". I smiled. " I love you Rache".

"I know you do. I love you too". She grinned. "Okay byeee"

"Byeee..."

I ended the call, throwing my phone beside me on the bed and looked over to Clara's bed where she was sleeping peacefully. I took the phone again and went to Instagram to search for Blake even though I didn't know his IG handle.

I searched "Blake" and a couple of accounts appeared. None of them belonged to the Blake I was looking for. I logged out in disappointment and slipped the phone under a pillow.

I then rested my head on the fluffy pillow and closed my eyes.
