-(Back to our Earth)-
Once they got home, Logan left Pam to deal with the shopping bags and walked Lex out to the Patio with a glass of water.
Once he sat down, Logan reached out to J'onn. {Hey J'onn, you got anything going right now?}
{I am discussing a lead on my mission to find where the core members went under Savage's control. Is there something you need?}
{Well, how about I just show you.} Logan took his memories of the encounter with Lex and sent them to J'onn's mind. Including his quick mind sweep when he was looking for any tricks.
{Hmm. One moment.} Knowing J'onn, Logan has learned that the less J'onn says on a matter the more he is thinking about it. {I recommend all available of the core League questions this person. I will let you know when we will be there.}
{OK, just make sure Wonder Woman is there. Her lightning of truth is going to be the only way some will believe this Luthor.}
{Agreed.}
Logan lets out a deep sigh, "Well I think Pam will have no choice but to move the family now. No way we can hide a super pow-wow on the patio."
Lex spoke after hearing Logan, "I am sorry if I have put you in an awkward position here, perhaps we should meet them elsewhere?"
"No worries, it needs to happen anyway. Now before they get here, I recommend giving that energy device I can feel on you to the Devilbat when he gets here. Don't think about hiding it in my house. The kids might find it."
Lex reflexively put his right hand over his left glove, "How did you?"
Logan lied to Lex, "With the energy that thing is putting off, I'm surprised you thought you could hide it. Honestly." No need to tell him about reading his mind.
"I better go talk to Pam, let her know we will be having company soon." Logan walked back into the house leaving Lex to his thoughts.
Logan searched the house until he found Pam and the kids in a room close to Pam's. She was manipulating a plant into a dresser when he walked in. Hazel ran over to him and clung to his leg. "Everything ok in here? I know I have made some pretty important decisions without discussing them with you first. I am sorry."
Pam sighed, "I do understand a little on why you made some choices, but it does seem that you put the League's safety over that of us. Bringing a possible supervillain to the home we have the kids in, concerns me. But I want to believe you know what you are doing so I will trust you."
Logan walked closer to Pam (With Hazel still clinging to his leg.) and embraced her. "If I thought there was even the tiniest bit of danger, I would not have brought him here. But thinking back, maybe it was a bit manipulative to use this in order to push relocating the kids to somewhere more natural."
Pam laid her head on Logan's chest, "I do agree that somewhere closer to nature would be best for the kids. I have some land in Colorado we can look at when this Luthor problem is over."
"That does sound good, Gotham just isn't much of a family-friendly city." Logan said as he stroked her hair.
About 20 minutes later Logan and Pam were entertaining the kids on the patio as Lex stood looking over the city with his arms folded behind his back.
With a rush of air, two figures landed on the patio. Superman and Wonder Woman gently touched down, bringing with them a sense of restrained power that made everyone turn towards them.
Lex had a brief look of panic flash through his eyes as he looked at Superman. But he relaxed as soon as he saw the S emblem on his chest. He turned to Wonder Woman and just took in her appearance with no apparent recognition.
Superman looked intently at Lex for a moment, "You really aren't our Luthor are you?" He looked towards Metropolis, "Ours is going through a workout in his office with his personal trainer right now."
"Lex took a deep breath, "I am not, I am…"
Superman held up a hand, "Let's wait for the others so you don't have to go over it multiple times."
Lex looked surprised at this, "You really are different than him, aren't you? I didn't think it would be possible or so… apparent."
Superman was about to ask what he meant but he felt a tug on his cape. When he looked down, he saw what looked like a little pale blond toddler with his cape in her hands like she was feeling the material. He froze immediately afraid any movement would harm her.
Seeing this, Logan was about to step forward when he heard Wonder Woman, "By the gods, you are one precious looking child, little one. Connected to nature like none I have seen before."
Logan glanced over to see Hazel had gone to Ororo and was comparing her hand to the skin on the Amazon warrior's leg.
Pam quickly went to pick Hazel up, "I am so sorry… Ms. Woman??? She has never seen someone with the same complexion as her yet." Pam was blushing at the topic.
"Just call me Ororo, I am surprised that she has never seen another black woman, she looks to be a couple of years old. I see she gets her affinity for nature from you though."
"Thank you, Ororo. But she is only five days old today." Pam picked Hazel up in her arms.
"Such a wonder! A true gift from the gods." Ororo looked around and a sheepish look came over her face. "May I hold her? I do love children."
Pam smiled and held Hazel towards Ororo. Hazel seeing this, reached out for the woman who had skin like her own. She was very curious.
Logan looked at Superman, "Would you like me to collect her sir?"
"I am afraid to move, I may hurt her by accident." He was still being very cautious.
Logan smiled, "Feel free to pick her up, she is much sturdier than she looks."
Superman took a deep breath and leaned down to gingerly pick up Rose who was looking up at this strange blue man. He didn't seem to know how to hold her, so he looked over at Wonder Woman and started to copy her technique. Once she was face level with this strange man, Rose reached out and tugged on the lock of hair that looked like an S on Superman's forehead. It brought a smile to his face.
With a roar from his armored boots, Iron Man appeared and abruptly landed on the patio. The noise made Thorn who had been watching from the curtains rush towards Pam's legs and Rose started crying in fright.
Superman started to look around in a panic, not knowing what to do with a crying toddler in his arms.
"Oh, these pictures are going up ALL OVER the Watchtower." Came Tony's mechanical voice from the armored helmet.
Logan walked over to Superman and collected Rose so he could calm her down. Tony looked around at everyone and spotted Pam, "Though if this lovely lady wanted to hold me, I would cry tears of joy."
"First you scare my kids and then you target my girl. I'm going to start taking it personally Mr. Stark."
"Ohh, if it isn't the science experiment, you seem to be doing well." Tony looked at Logan and then Pam, "Wait, that's way too fast. You're what 3 years old and already have a super hot girl and three kids. I thought you only got out of your test tube like 6 months ago?"
Logan snickered, "If I was half as active as you just imagine how many kids I would have. You sure you don't have a few knocking around somewhere?"
"Just means my pull-out game is better than yours is, kid. But seriously, math isn't adding up here, are you taking up someone else's slack?"
J'onn's voice rang out before he appeared, "Do not concern yourself with things beyond your maturity level Iron Man. In another 20 years when you are ready to grow up, you can ask the adults these sort of questions."
Ororo laughed at J'onn's words.
"Your Martian humor has gotten better with your new look J'onzz." Tony said as he retracted his helmet.
"There was no attempt at humor made Stark." J'onn said as he approached the crying, Rose. As soon as she saw him through her tears, Rose stopped crying and started to laugh with joy at the sight of the person who made her fly through the air. Her arms reached out, hands grasping to be held by her favorite person (Outside of Pam.).
Devilbat stepped out onto the patio from inside the house at the same time everyone's attention was grabbed by the arrival of a silver and red streak. "Now that Silveflash is here, how about you tell us what's going on Logan?"
