Chapter 6. Sick friend

2 years later, Saruto was training in the field. He was hanging on a tree branch, upside-down, doing some pull-ups. After the training, he went to the river nearby to wash his body. He removed his shirt, forehead protector and pants. Then he stepped inside the border of the river. He splashed some water on his body. That's when Saruto had this weird feeling like he was being observed. He turned around to see from where he was being observed.

'Interesting', he thought. He evaporated the water drops off of his body, using his chakra nature and then put his clothes on. Saruto looked at the sky and then he hurried up to his favourite restaurant.

Once he arrived at the restaurant, he sat on his chair and asked for some fried chicken. The restaurant's waiter said, "We're sorry sir. Some kids came here and ate all our chicken. We don't have any sir. All we have are vegetarian food"

Saruto thought he could try somewhere else. He went outside the restaurant and saw someone there. He approached the person and asked, "Excuse me, are you Uchiha Mikoto?"

"Yes, I am and you must be Captain Saruto, Shisui-kun's team captain"

"That's right"

Saruto checked her out. She was wearing a brown blouse and tan skirt. Saruto also looked around. Members of the Uchiha clan, mostly from the police force, were around the street. It seems they were observing the village. Saruto continued, "I see that you were shopping"

"I just bought some clothes for Sasuke. I was going back home"

"Is it okay if I tag along? I need to talk to you about your son"

They started walking as Mikoto spoke, "What do you want to talk about Itachi?"

"Well, I don't have to tell you about how talented Itachi is. I want to recruit him for my team"

"Your team? As in the same team with Shisui-kun?"

"Yes, I know that he's an important member of the clan, so I thought it would be appropriate to ask his parent"

"Shisui-kun has improved his abilities with your team. It's an intriguing proposition but you also forbid Shisui-kun from using his mangekyo Sharingan, right. Isn't it like supresssing his potential?"

"I see! I don't want to know how you know that but judging by your tone, you don't know about the consequences of that Dojutsu"

"What do you mean?"

"You see, if a person uses his mangekyo too much he will go blind and to cure it, the user must get another pair of mangekyo Sharingan, preferably from a sibling"

Mikoto dropped her bags after hearing that, thinking about her sons. Saruto helped her put her things inside the bag.

"Only those who possess mangekyo have access to this information from an unknown inscription that I don't know about"

"If my sons were to achieve such power…"

"I don't want to say it but you should hope for the better"

"Is that why you forbade Shisui-kun from using his mangekyo?"

"To protect his eyes and his future"

"I am sorry!"

"Why are you apologising?"

"It's just…forget it"

Saruto concluded her expressions. Mikoto got information about Saruto's captaincy from Fugaku, who got information somehow from the masked man, Madara. It led his trust in the village's government to change and would eventually come to the coup d'etat against the village. Saruto had the knowledge and if he does something about it now, he can prevent a clan from its extinction.

'I am going to seduce Mikoto and then I will change the Uchiha's fate. Fugaku knows that the masked man is bad news so how did he get information about my activities from him? Maybe someone he trusts and listens to is being manipulated'

They both started walking. That's when they saw a 5-year-old waiting outside ichiraku ramen. "That kid, he must have spent all his pocket money again"

"You're also close to Kushina's son"

"I lived at Hokage's house until I got my own house. I had to baby-sit the kids when their parents were busy"

Saruto took his wallet and checked how much money he had. That's when he saw Teuchi inviting Naruto inside. He then said, "Some villagers aren't like the others"

"Teuchi, he sees the person instead of the beast"

"I wonder what Itachi sees in others"

Confused about his statement that came out of nowhere, Mikoto asked, "What do you mean by that?"

"Shisui told me that Itachi has a different way of seeing the world. That's what made him interested in Itachi. I was hoping that I could ask him about it in person"

"Maybe I should too. I'll talk to my son. My husband wants him to enter the Anbu but if your team can be useful to him, he should be in it"

"Don't worry! My team already has two members of Anbu. Itachi can be part of both. Now if you'll excuse I should get something to eat"

"It was a pleasure talking to you, Saruto-san!"

"I hope our next meetings would be in different circumstances, not like our first meeting" after saying that he went to Ichiraku ramen. Mikoto was thinking 'What did he mean by that? Did he…oh my god, he saw me'

She blushed and walked faster to her home.

At Ichiraku ramen, Saruto entered and saw Naruto eating a bowl of ramen. "Can I have what he's having?"

Naruto turned to see who it was. He was happy to see Saruto. "Saruto-san, it's been a while, ya know. Why aren't you coming to our house anymore?"

"I can't keep living with you guys. Hey, I must have my own house too"

Saruto sat on a stool and spoke "Occhan, I'll pay for the kid too"

"Don't worry, his bowl is on me today"

"Hey, you're a kind-hearted man Occhan!"

Teuchi smiled and turned to prepare Saruto's order. "Saruto-san, can I ask you for something?"

"Tell me!"

He moved his chopsticks around the bowl while looking at it. He gulped and asked "Kaa-chan is sick. I was hungry so I let her rest and came to buy some medicines for her and something to eat for me and Naruko"

"Your Tou-san knows it, right?"

"Kaa-chan didn't want to tell him and at the pharmacy, I got kicked out. The owner said he doesn't sell medicines to demon foxes"

Saruto's blood started burning his body as he went mad. His whole body released some heat but he then came to his senses. He knew he can't act violently against the villagers who he was supposed to protect. He should act calm for now and one day they'll come around.

"I didn't do anything. Why do they hate me? Because of that, I didn't even know how to behave around others. Even now, I was afraid to enter this because I didn't want get scolded"

'He is just a kid now. I should encourage him'

"Naruto, you know who's not scared of anything?"

Naruto blinked twice continuously. "Who's it?"

"You're father, the strongest shinobi of the village, the Hokage"

"The Hokage…?"

"Naruto your father and his predecessors have been protecting our village from the beginning. They are respected by everyone. That's why we have their faces sculptured there", said Teuchi as he showed the faces of the Hokages. Naruto looked at their faces. He turned and said "I will become the Hokage, just like Tou-chan. I'll protect our village and then the villagers will accept me and won't hate me"

Saruto thought, 'Okay, now he's on track'

"Hey, you know what Naruto, after I am done eating, let's go to your home and help your Kaa-san"

"That's awesome, ya know"

"Ka-chan, we're home!" Naruto entered the room, Saruto followed him behind. "How are you, Kushina-san!"

"Oh Saruto, didn't I tell you to…"

She sneezed. "…call me nee-san, ya know!"

"You should have told Hokage-sama that you're sick! Look at Naruto he's worried"

Saruto put his hand on Naruto's head and patted. "Aw, my baby is worried about me! I would hug you if it wasn't for my condition"

Saruto told Naruto "Hey, I'll take care of your Kaa-san, you go take care of your sister! She must be hungry"

He quickly took the food he bought for his sister and left the room. "Kushina-sa…sorry Kushina-nee, let me check your fever!"

Saruto approached her and checked her temperature. He then thought of something. Kushina observed what he was doing. She is now alone in her room with an attractive young man. Dirty thoughts passed through her mind as she gulped. Saruto touched her hand and held it. He then placed his other hand above, cupping her hand. His cold hands touched her skin as felt his chakra circulating in her body.

"It's chakra fever"

"A chakra fever? I shouldn't be able to have that, ya know"

"Because you're an Uzumaki? A part of your own chakra was taken away from you that day. You haven't regained it yet"

"I wasn't aware of that"

"Even if you have perfect control over your chakra as an Uzumaki, your body felt this anomaly. To compensate for what was lost, you unconsciously absorbed chakra from some dangerous bacteria"

"How did you know all these?"

Saruto thought of his training sessions with Tsunade. He remembered that good old time when he pounded Tsunade after his medical ninjutsu training.

"I learned it from Tsunade-sama. I thought something like this could happen as the result of extraction, so I learned something and developed some new methods to cure it"

While he was talking, Saruto noticed that Kushina wasn't paying attention to his words. Her eyes were looking at his downstairs. He tilted his head down to watch what she was looking at. It's his erection. He had an erection from thinking about having sex with Tsunade. Kushina noticed that he noticed. "Sorry, Saruto! I didn't mean to look at it, ya know. It was distracting"

"Sorry, it's my fault"

He sat on a chair and covered his hard-on with his legs.

'Damn, it's embarrassing. I didn't want her to see me like this…wait, she could have told me the moment she noticed my erection. Is she attracted to me?'

"Kushina-nee, I am done with my treatment. Take some rest after your meal. You will be cured"

"Thank you Saruto! You're a lifesaver"

"It's the least I can do for you guys! But there's something I want to ask you"

"What's it?"

"It's about your friend, Mikoto"

"Yes, what about her?"

"She was spying on me…when I was taking a bath"

Kushina didn't expect him to ask something like this suddenly. She was surprised as she blabbered, "What? No! It can't be her! Why would she spy on you?"

That's when Saruto saw the look on her face. She was blushing in shame. She knew something. Saruto grinned. He leaned closer to her. Kushina's face was inches away from Saruto's face. Saruto opened his mouth as his breath touched her lips.

"What are you hiding Kushina-nee?"
