Split in Two

"I am the madness that lurks within the greatest minds of men." Eliza replied sarcastically. She touched my skin, before replying again, "Because you are a lost human. I will help to unmask this face so that you can find your true self. Whose figure are you wearing now?"

The utmost madness in the human mind? Mask? I was confused. Eliza's answer this time was scary. It was no longer the usual romantic seduction. But it was still chest-breaking. I didn't have time to reply. It was tight. My throat choked. My neck muscles harden. Perhaps my face was already red by now. Growling in pain. It's useless. No one heard. It's silent. Like it was just the two of us and the driver in the car.

Both of my hands, counter gripped Eliza's wrists. Resisting. Pulling, with all my might. Thankfully, I still had a little strength left.

"Let go--" The few words I managed to say.

"Why, does it hurt?" Eliza chimed in. Not to be outdone. She put more pressure on my neck. Eliza

looked relaxed, but her strength was above that of an ordinary person. I lost badly.

Eliza was more agile. She really intended to kill me.

I couldn't give up. Another idea came to me. Bruk!!! Wriggling, kicking the walls of the car. Banging on the front seat. Over and over again. Noisy.

"He-help!"

The car swerved. The driver braked suddenly. Chiiitttt!!! The friction between the tires and the asphalt was clearly heard.

"That was close!!!" the driver exclaimed.

"Good thing it was still quiet, if it was crowded it would have been a collision." said a woman's voice.

A passenger's head poked out from behind the second row of seats. A middle-aged woman sat by the window at the level of my head. Next to her, a seven-year-old child. Also a young man, probably my age. They were all looking at me. Eliza released her chokehold. Instead, she stroked my hair.

"What's wrong, child? You're shocking me," the old woman snapped.

"Sorry grandma, he just woke up. Maybe he had a bad dream." Eliza replied, putting on a friendly face. As if nothing had happened. Truly, this woman is a psychopath. She could change her expression easily. In order to deceive her prey.

I sat up. Hold my neck. Cough cough. Trying to expel the wind that clogged my throat. My breath is wildly racing.

"Liar!!! She just strangled me. She wanted to kill me!!!" I said pointing at Eliza's face. I was so angry that I lost my temper. This bitch needed to be taught a lesson. She thought I wouldn't dare to report her crimes. Eliza gave me a wary look. Wrath full of hatred.

The driver and other passengers looked at each other,

"How come? She was the one who saved you when you were lying in the middle of the road." The woman with glasses who sat near the driver, defended Eliza.

"There are young people nowadays. If you're drunk, go to sleep. Don't be hazy." Said the driver.

"I'm serious. He also killed people in that hospital." I looked down. Wide-eyed in horror. Imagining a pile of dead bodies.

"Which hospital do you mean? You see, I'm from the provincial hospital. Everything is fine. No patients have died. The visitors, too, are still busy. No murder cases," explained the young man sitting in front of me.

"The hospital in the valley of the living--"

"The valley of the living? There's no hospital there. Only wilderness." Cut off the girl with glasses.

"It's true that this young man is still drunk. Then take Eliza to the police station to make this crazy woman accountable for her actions. that's what you want, drunkard!" sneered the driver. With a mocking expression.

Everyone laughed. A creepy expression spread across Eliza's face.

I looked down. Disappointed. No one believed me!

Eliza's lips came close to my earlobe. Whispering. Throwing a stabbing remark,

"If you talk too much, I'll rip the heads right off all of their necks,"

I gulped. Raised my head. Staring intently. Eliza turned away. Pinched her cheek. And praised the little boy who had been listening. Astonished.

"So beautiful... What's your name?" asked Eliza. She had an adorable tone.

Suddenly the wind blew. It cut like a dagger. I gaped. I was shocked beyond belief. How could I not, everyone's body was split in two, from the tip of the head to the bottom of the stomach. The car was cut into three.

"How dirty," Eliza protested. Gently wiping away the splashes of fresh blood. On both of our faces. Organs were clearly visible, falling out. The heart. Lungs. Intestines. I was stunned. Shocked.

"Looks like we broke into the wrong house?" Eliza added calmly. Presenting a sense of antipathy. Waving my arms. Throwing away the pieces of corpse.

Stood out of the car. My mind was stuck. Followed behind Eliza. Tapped her on the shoulder, repeatedly. Eliza was indifferent. I wanted to ask, 'Why did you kill them? Didn't they defend you?" However, my tongue was still dying.

"Welcome psychiatrist. I'm sorry I forced you to visit my house." greeted a hooded girl. Showing part of her face. Approximate distance of five meters. Laying on a lotus flower. Hands supporting the face. Five black skeleton men, covered in flames. Standing behind her.

The stench of rotting carcasses wafted out, filling my nostrils. My eyes swept around. The puddle was wide. Calm and endless. Black in color. Lotus flowers thrived. There were no other plants. Or an island. Let alone buildings. It was as quiet as if we were in the middle of the ocean. Strangely enough, we were standing on the surface. Floating. Where am I? How did I get transported to this place?

Nyit

The sound of car hoods rubbing against each other. The bodies of the passengers, too, were swallowed up by the water. Leaving air bubbles, popping here and there.

Eliza sighed heavily. Clucked.

"Alter ego sufferer, huh!"

"To be more precise, I'm a special level Alter Ego. Introduce my name, Maya. One of the leaders of the Dark Triad. Representing the trait of Narcissism." explained the mysterious girl. Introducing herself.

"That's really annoying. You guys always come at the wrong time." protested Eliza. There was an annoyed chuckle at the end of the sentence. She tied her hair in a ponytail.

"Anyway, I just smelled fresh meat. I'm so hungry," the girl retorted. She laughed crisply.

Eliza reached into her backpack.

"I was in a hurry to go to the salon, to take care of my shabby and dull face. But because of you, I have to waste my time in a disgusting place like this," Eliza sneered. Inflamed.

"I understand your desire because I'm also a woman who likes to take care of myself. But can you also understand the state of my starving stomach? Please hand over your friend without fighting." The girl with thick, black lipstick. Asked politely.

Eliza brandished her trusty machete.

"There's no way I'm going to hand it over that easily. I'm a psychiatrist, my job is to protect humanity from predatory monsters like you. I'd rather die than run away from my responsibility. Get ready, evil girl! Let's fight!" said Eliza loudly. A creepy expression spread across her face.

"You're starting to piss me off. You think you can beat me?" Maya presented a face, no less fierce.

"Of course." Eliza bent her knees. Black veins came out from the calf.

"Marvelous attack that arrogant psychiatrist!" exclaimed Maya commandingly.

Five human skeletons roared. Running. Like wolves on the hunt. Eliza stomped her foot. Jumped beautifully into the air. Very high. About 20 meters. Swinging the machete to the edge of the sky. The sharp blade glistened, ready to take a life.

I was amazed. Seeing Eliza's strength. There's no way an ordinary person could jump that high.
