Chapter 18

Aaron's POV

"Let’s do this. Aron, let's do this."

Beth made her choice. I would do nothing but support her.

The injector was filled with a black, thick liquid and the needle on it was very sharp.

I needed to inject it into Beth's body accurately and as quickly as possible to make sure she wouldn't feel any pain.

Even though she pretended to be calm, I knew that Beth was afraid of injections. Her eyes were out of focus, and her teeth chattered with uncontrollable friction.

"Close your eyes. It'll be over in a second." I said, pressing down her hands.

Beth did as she was told. Her face turned pale.

Soon, all the liquid was injected into her body. Beth grabbed my hand, curled up in my arms, and began to make small talks with me.

I knew she was distracting herself from everything else, so I listened to whatever she was saying and even responded whenever necessary.
