Beth's POV

　　Nina fell to the ground while holding her neck, blood oozing out through her fingers.

　　I ran over and held her, feeling her body twitching non-stop in my arms. I stared at the gray wolf, afraid that she would attack Nina again.

　　Yet she didn't. She just quietly sharpened her claws on the grass. After confirming Nina's status, she shifted back to her human form and stood up slowly.

　　The dark clouds dispersed, and the light of the moon shone down, allowing me to see the gray wolf's face clearly. It was Daisy, the maid who had been serving Nina.

　　I was confused. Why did she attack Nina?

　　"How do you feel, princess? Is it painful? Do you feel like you're shaking with pain?"

　　Daisy smirked and looked at Nina with a look of appreciation, as if Nina were a piece of work of hers.

　　She wiped her blood-stained mouth with her dress.
