“HOW does this go?” Connor asked as we stood there under the soft light of the sun.

I looked up and saw the gray clouds starting to dissipate as the sun peeked behind them. The rain had finally stopped just before we arrived in the pack and the wind’s harsh hits were also weakening; the icy weather was slowly fading.

“The five of us will surround the pack so we can cover all the sides,” Alpha Nathaniel answered then looked at the two other Alphas and Violet. “You three move to the other side. Me and Irene will stay here.”

Alpha Dennis started walking to the right and Alphas Oscar followed them. I looked at Violet as she stood there, looking at Alpha Thomas and Diana.

“I wished I didn’t have to do this,” she said.

“Violet, go with them,” Alphas Nathaniel said in a sharp voice.

She sighed then gave Alpha Thomas and Diana one last glance before following the two other Alphas. Alpha Nathaniel and Irene remained where they were.
