"Are you sure that you can go by yourself?"
I laugh to myself as I zip my handbag after putting all my important belongings in there. I face Lynette, who is anxious in her black tube dress as she looks at me with apology.
"I surely can manage myself, Lynette. Besides, you cannot fail your Mom and Dad by ditching their anniversary party."
She rolled her eyes while groaning. "As if that matters. They were just faking their marriage for the sake of their images! Gracious!" She exclaimed and slump down on the couch with her arms crossed.
Now that I have mentioned it, her mood immediately changes when it comes to her family.
I guess, we really have different problems and issues to deal with? Nonetheless, mine's quite fictional but literally real.
"You still have to go, though. Bye, Ly!" I exclaimed, pecking her cheek.
She looks back at me. "Call me, okay?"
"Uh-huh."
"Wait, does Montgomery know you are going out today?"
