Chapter Five

"You don't tell me what to do pup. I'm the law around here." The elder snapped at Kar. Lynn growled and grabbed the man by the neck. "You will not speak to my mate like that in our home. You are not the law. I'm now. So get out." The man left. She sat down and placed her head in her hands. "Lynn are you okay love?" she looked up at him. "Yeah. I'm only tired. I need a break from that pack."

Kar was in his office when Dan came running in trying to hide behind him. When Lynn came in. "Come out Dan." Kar was sitting there with no clue as to what was going on. Lynn smiled and shot at Kar with a water gun causing him to jump up. "got you, Dan." She said with a laugh as she ran after the young warrior. "Why do I always get caught up in the crossfire?" he said to his Bata who laughed.

Lynn took off after Dan as her laughter filled the house. "Dan come out wherever you are." She used her sense. Her wolf was loving the hunt. She smiled as she found him. Hitting him with the water. "Damn Luna your good at this." Dan's eyes went wide making Lynn turn to see Kar he picked her up over his shoulder and carried her out to the backyard. "Love how many times during meetings are you going to interrupt?" he asked as he walked.

She laughed. "Well, you guys are too stuffy in there." She tried to get away, but he had a tight hold on her. When she was tossed into the packed pool she looked up at her grinning mate. "Oh, sorry Love I thought you were hot seeing as you were having water gun fight in the house." She grinned as she swam to the edge of the pool. "I was thanks, baby." She moved quickly pulling him in with her. "How am I to get any work done with you sidetracking me all the time?" he asked pulling her close and kissing her.

After they got dried off, she walked into Kar's office. "You okay Love?" she smiled at him and grabbed a book. "Yeah just need some peace and quiet." She laid on the sofa and started to read. It didn't take long, and she was asleep. Kar was doing some work when she sat up real fast a growl leaving her. "Love what is it?"

The two went to the door to see the man from the guardian pack with the new alpha from the pack that treated her poorly. "What is he doing here?" Kar growled out. "This is none of your business." The man said. "He is my mate, and this is his home, so it is his business. I'm growing tired of the disrespect you keep showing my mate and our pack." The elder laughed. "This is not your pack. We are your pack and I think it is time you come home." Lynn let out a growl that had everyone on their knees. "I will be staying here and if you don't start showing my pack some respect you won't make it to the next full moon. Is that understood?" the man bowed.

Lynn was pacing their bedroom when Kar walked in. Love you will put a hole in the floor." She looked at him. "The guardian pack. Something is off about them. For people meant to keep the peace and be so respectful, they show none. Is there a way I can speak to the Goddess?" he thought the same thing. "There is one-way Lynn. Come with me we will go to the moon alter." They shifted and ran to the place. Lynn stood there in wolf form and let out a howl to their Goddess.

Beautiful white wolf appeared, and Lynn bowed her head. "My Goddess thank you for gracing us." The wolf walks over to her. "What's the matter, child?" Lynn looks to her mate. "The guardian pack that I was once part of. Goddess something is not right about them. They are trying to take me from my mate and pack." The white wolf looks at them both. "That's because they are corrupted my child. You and your mate's pack will now become the new guardian pack. That's why your pack was named the silver moon pack. You all will be given the power to keep all my children safe. There is a war coming. The rouges want to rule everyone. You must stop them."

Lynn and Kar bowed their heads. "The will of the Goddess will be done." The white wolf let out a howl that all wolves felt. The old guardian pack was stripped of its power and the silver moon pack had taken over. "Child your mother is not dead. Please know in time you will meet her, but for now, I will keep her safe from harm." Lynn looks at her. "Thank you, Goddess." The wolf bowed its head. "The mark of the Goddess will keep you safe." Then she was gone.

Lynn was in the bathroom when she felt a burning that came and went fast. "Love are you okay I heard you scream." She looked up at him and showed him her arm. There was a tattoo of a moon that silver moon. "The mark of the Goddess I'm guessing." She tells him as he traces the tattoo. They knew it was a matter of time before the old guardian pack showed up on their doorstep.

She was cooking dinner with the help of other pack members when Kar walked in. "There here, Love." Lynn looked at Dan. "Take the woman and children to the safe house." The warrior bowed and did as asked. Lynn took Kar's hand and they went to wait. When the elder walked forward she saw how pissed he was. "What have you done to my pack girl?" she looked at him and rolled her eyes.

"I did what needed to be done. The Goddess herself has stripped you of your powers. The silver moon pack are the new guardians. You have let power take over. The rouges are here hurting weaker packs and all you care about is yourself. Your no leaders. I hold the mark of the Goddess now." She held up her arm. "I'm the Alpha of all Alpha's you will follow my rules or pay the price. Is that understood?"

When they had left Lynn looked at Kar. "How do I even do this? Where do I start?" she asked as she looked into his eyes. "You ask the Goddess for guideless. And you ask the ones around you for help when you need it." Kar says as he hugs her. "Kar what if I'm not ready for this?" lifting her chin to look at him. "You are stronger than even you know Lynn. If the Goddess didn't think you were ready. She wouldn't have given this task to you."

Lynn walked into Kar's office and sat in his lap. "I know what needs to be done first. I need to call all the Alphas in for a meeting. Find out who is loyal to us and who is loyal to the old guardian pack." Kar smiles at her. "Sounds like a good idea love, but where will we hold the meeting?" he asked.
