Nicole looked at her husband shocked and disappointed. She couldn't believe that he would think of terminating a pregnancy, especially since they have been having challenges conceiving, but also to think that he thought so poorly of his Alpha. Lorenzo saw the strange look on her face and raised a brow. "What's with that look? I'm only stating the obvious choices that an Alpha can make."

"Is that what you would do if you were in his place?" Nicole asked. When he realized what he said, Lorenzo tried to apologize but it was too late. His mate was hurt by his careless words. "Did you ever stop to think that Alpha Bradley would accept his mate and the child she is carrying? Even if it cannot be the next in line, that doesn't mean that he or she won't be loved and cared for."

"Baby, I'm so..." Nicole cut him off. "I think I'll go and do some rounds. You should go and check on the pups or somewhere else. I need time to cool off." Nicole left and Lorenzo face-palmed himself. How could he be so stupid? Based on their past disagreements, it looks like he's in the doghouse tonight. He just hopes that it doesn't last longer than that.
