Chapter 8 He won't let me go

"I know but don't blame me, they are annoying.." She growled lowly

"You won't notify the boss of your journey?" Frank asked making me glare at him.

"You need to tell Him Laila," Angel said, I contemplated if to tell him.

"Let's just tell him, so we get to see him one more time." Sapphire said and I scoffed

"Who wants to see Him? I'll just tell him cos he's my boss and that's all."

"Okay, i will tell him tomorrow and we'll leave next tomorrow.." I notified Angel "can I come with you?" Frank asked and I snorted

"Of course no..." I scoffed and he chuckled, pecked Angel on her temple and entered his car..

"Come on in, let me drop you guys." He insisted and I declined.. After much persuasion, I entered his bugatti divo car. One of the most expensive cars I've seen.

"I'll drop you guys home, I'll come pick you up by 8am in the morning, how about that?" Frank asked,

Sapphire was fuming, struggling to surface but I was pushing her back, she can't show them who we really are.. Our wolf is rare, and Angel might run away from me.

"Are you okay Laila?" Angel asked, concern laced her voice

"I'm fine Angel, I just want to get home soon." I said and she nodded

"So.. What are you saying about that?" Frank asked, arching a brow

"Yes. Take us to Leopas street 99." I directed him, he nodded as we hit the road...

     Soon, we arrived at my house. I hurried inside to calm my nerves as I know the only thing that could calm sapphire is water. I drank a full 120cl can of chilled water, when I felt her nerves calm, I headed for the door and I saw the two love birds in a hot streaming kiss. Making me wish I and my boss, Christamos were like that...

"Angel, dinner is ready." I called out, setting the table for dinner

"Coming." I heard her from the living room "wow Laila, I love your apartment, you're lucky babe." She said as she sat on the couch and switched on an animation movie. I know Angel, she'd never change, she's always loved cartoons ever since she was little. I find it cute.

"The bathroom is by your left, toilet by your right and room is in the middle. So hurry up let's eat." I said as she dragged herself to the bathroom.

I chuckled at her laziness, as she took the left turn....

       Soon she was done douching as she wore my night gown, it was a bit big on her as I was more chubby than she is. I smiled as she devoured the offering wide-eyed

"This taste so good, oh my God.." Angel said and I chuckled

"Its just pasta Angel, it's not hard to cook..." I said proudly

"Yeah, I don't remember you cooking anything as good as this, how'd you learn?" She asked and I laughed remembering how bad a cook I was, not until sapphire kept teasing me on how horrible I am in the kitchen that I downloaded an app that helped me learn how to make different dishes, though I'm not that perfect at it.

"Well, I learnt it from someone..." I can tell that she doubted me through her expression cuz I'm a type that never fancied learning things by anyone, instead I helped myself. She continued eating and when she was done, I washed the dishes and joined her in watching the animation show, though I hate those....

AUTHOR'S POV

The day was bright again as Laila felt her bed bounced, making sapphire groan... She jolted from the bed and went through the time, it was already 15 minutes to 6am, she groaned and washed her mouth

"Do you always have to sleep so long?" Sapphire asked laughing

"Ah sapphire, you're already awake." Laila muttered "you could have woken me up.." She added

"C'mon lady, I've always taught you to be an early worker right?" Sapphire flaunted making Laila chuckle

"Yeah, madam..." Laila said earning a scoff from sapphire as she switched into her jogging and gym clothes.

Laila checked on the sleeping Angel, she hurried to the kitchen and prepared Italian noodles. She kept Angels food in the microwave and kept hers in the warmer. Then she left a letter on the table

'Left for the gym, will be back soon, your food is in the microwave.,. Take care..

                                          Laila.'

She then left the house... Her mind still on her family, she dialed Blake's number, but it was not reachable. Fear engulfed her as Blake's phone was never switched off... He love going through medias and he's into online trade, what was really going on? Laila can't tell, making her wolf more agitated. She jogged her way to the gym... Some group of young attractive men kept staring at her to her, though she's used to it but she just winked at them. On getting to the gym, Sapphire was restless and annoyed

"What is it sapphire?" She asked

"I don't like him." Sapphire said

"Who?" Just then, a familiar scent of citrus wafted through her nostrils

"Dad, let's do it again." She heard a toddler's joyful tone... Turning to her left, her eyes met Jim and a cute chubby baby girl... The baby looks so much like Jim, she was so cute as a doll, her pretty burnt orange hair and sapphire colored eyes.

"Laila," he called, looking attractive on his singlet that exposed his muscles.. He's added in everything since she last saw him. His burnt orange colored hair was shoulder length as he packed it in a ponytail, his deep sky blue eyes and plump pink lips.. He was attractive but she found out that she was not attracted to him as before

"Jimmy..long time." She said as sapphire groaned

"Calm down sapphire..." She cautioned as sapphire rolled her eyes

"I hate him." Sapphire said

Laila's POV

"I know but there's a cute kid here okay?" I stated

"Not mine." Sapphire said and I can't help but smile, how bad a mother can she be... Then I glared at jim

"How are you?" Jim asked and I headed for one of the treadmills machines as I felt his gaze on me

"I'm fine Jim." I answered

"Daddy, I wanna try that one." The toddler said pointing to a little seat dip machine for kids.

"Julie, meet aunt Laila." He introduced me to the kid. She looks so much like him but she's got camora's eyes and then I knew the mother of the child.

"Hello aunt laila..." The kid greeted waving at me with a cute smile

"Hello Julie how are you?" I asked exposing the soft spot I've always gotten for kids.

"I'm fine aunt, you look like a princess, you are so beautiful." Little julie said as I smile, caressing her tender cheeks

"You are so adorable..." I said to the little girl who blushed

"Thank you, beauty." She said and I smiled. Though I hate her Parents, I can't bring myself to hate this adorable cutie here.

"I love your hair." She said caressing my hair as I smiled at her

"I love your eyes and lips, you are super duper cute, you know that." I cajoled the kid into my arms and lifted her as she laughed sweetly, her lovely scent of strawberry lingering my nose.

"I'm glad you like her." I heard Jim whom I forgot was in the gym room with us.

"Yeah, she's not a lousy ass like you are." I said still caressing the toddler's hair as he chuckled

"Sweetie can you give I and aunty some time alone?" He asked

"Sure." The little princess said as she jogged to the other room.

"You look so pretty." Jim said as he moved closer to me

"Thanks but excuse me." I said rudely

"Laila I'm sorry, I know what I did was wrong but I'm sorry." He pleaded

"I've already forgiven you Jim, I mean.. It's God's will that I stopped crushing on you and moved on." I said rather shameless

"I can't believe you are admitting this to me.." He chortled...
