Chapter 62 Rogues in the pack

(Rogues in the Pack)

Kenny's POV

"You look thinner than the last time i saw you." Lily noted

"It's nothing." I shrugged

Of course why shouldn't i look thinner when every moment i picture myself leaving my family. Yeah, I know Gray is every woman's dream but I don't want to go with him.

"You sure?" Lily asked

"I know you too well Kenny, something must be wrong."

"It's nothing Lily." I persisted

"Kenny, we need to talk." Luna said

"Alright, here we go." Keah muttered

"Lily, we'll be back okay?" I said to Lily

"It's okay, I'll be fine." Lily smiled with a nod as I followed Luna to the door.

We walked to the car park in the hospital as Luna drove out her car then she opened the passenger's seat

"Get in." She nodded at me.

She drove for about 2 hours without a word. I clung to my thick sweater as I stared out the window

"It's okay Kenny, everything will be fine." Keah assured me

"I hope so." I replied.

The car pulled up in front of one of the pack's beaches, it's known as the Red beach, cos whenever the sun sets on the night of the full moon, it's color will be red.

Not that dark red but a bright red almost orange. I smiled.

I could vividly remember that I got my wolf here on the night of my birthday and I transformed here.

"Sit." Luna pointed to a bench as I sat there.

The wind here seems calm and relaxing... One of my favorite things about this place is that I get to hear the sound of nature singing.

"You know... Not everything goes the way we plan, sometimes you have to accept fate, when you accept fate, you will see those things you planned manifesting." Luna smiled at me.

I forced myself to smile cuz I really want to cry

"You know, when I discovered I was a werewolf on my 18th birthday, it was not easy for me at all, it took me a year to get accustomed to life with sapphire. I just wanted to live as a human with a family and my job. Then with Sapphire, I thought it was impossible..

I left my Town and family because I felt if they find out about me being a werewolf then I might get killed. Not until I met my mate, though we had minor issues but I was never complete without him.

Then I gradually started to see the truth, even as a human it's more complicated than it is now, I thought I might never get married, I thought I was alone... But then I was never complete and someone needs to fill that gap

Not my friends, not my family, not even my job. I found my mate and my world became complete and blissful... I just don't want you to make that mistake I made Kenny, you're just like my first baby girl you know, I'm still with you like the old times and a mother can't lead the child astray you know." Luna narrated

"I don't want a mate now.." I noted

"I know..." Luna pushed back some strands of my hair

"I know Kenny, but it's a blessing that you found him earlier, you can have a good life." Luna remarked

"He don't like me, he just wanna claim me as his and then he'll treat me like dirt." I noted as Luna sighed

"Are you saying this because he mistreated you in the past?" Luna observed

"Not only that, he even promised to marry my friend because of power." I announced

"What? That's not true Kenny, I know Gray, he won't get married to anyone because of power, he's a man of honor and pride, he won't even beg anyone for power when he's among the ruthless and strongest Alphas' in the history of time. Do you believe that easily?" Luna explained as my expression softened

"Yeah, we should have thought about that Kenny." Keah groaned and I moaned in depression

"Why i called you here is because, you don't look like the healthy Kenny I knew." Luna began with a sigh as she placed both hands on my shoulder

"The Kenny i knew will never let her problems weigh her down. She's strong and brave and can conquer her battles." Luna smiled at me as I smiled back at her

"Luna, you know.. I always wanted to be beautiful, strong, independent and brave like you." I revealed

"I was never independent on my own Kenny, I had Sapphire and I listened to her." She smiled and lifted my face to look at her, she's really inspiring

"Your wolf can never lead you the wrong way. Just follow her lead and your heart." Luna advised as I smiled back at her with a nod.

"Let's go, Lily must be waiting." She reminded as I quickly stood up, Lily must be missing us already...

Gray's POV

"You know, it's not easy to beat gashar and the other rogues." Shem said pointing at the plotting map.

We've been under attack recently from the rogues, we decided to equip the soldiers at the borders.

"We'll be needing more silver bullets and wolfsbane." Gendric, my gamma said.

"No, it might be harmful to the pack." I insisted

"Alpha, we need the silver bullets for our guns, our soldiers will use it against the Rogue." Shem informed

"That won't be enough, we'll be needing more than that." I stated as I glanced at Gendric.

"Yeah, I think Thor's gotten another idea." Gendric replied

"Thor? Thor made me angry!" I hollered

"Alpha, this is not about you, it's about the pack." Gendric added, yeah, he's stubborn and don't give a damn about anything as far as it has to do with the pack.

"He's right Alpha. Thor is a brilliant technologist and it will be thoughtful if we ask him for help you know." Shem summed as I sighed.

Thor's always wanted what's mine ever since I stepped my feet in this pack.

He's always acted like this pack was supposed to be his, like he's supposed to be the Alpha of the pack.

"We won't be needing his help. If things gets out of hand, we'll seek help from the moonlight pack." I answered

"I heard things are going sour there as well and the Alpha's been working his ass out." Gendric retorted blankly

"I see, there's still the Blood moon pack and Alpha Brian's pack." I angrily pointed out with a growl to signify 'end of discussion'

"Aren't you gonna consider Gendric's words?" Mike asked

"Nope, It'll be fine Mike, trust me." I replied

I entered my chamber, I took off my robe as I took my shower, I was feeling a little headache

"Send me my dinner." I ordered through the intercom as I laid on my bed.

Dad is seriously ill and the worst part is that the disease is gradually spreading round his heart, according to Alfredo, The pack's doctor.

"Remember she wanted to be a pack doctor too." Mike reminded as I groaned

"Enough Mike, I don't want to think about her, I don't want to get tangled with a woman." I expressed as Mike growled

"She's our mate and I want our mate." Mike growled

"Enough, you're crazy Mike, we need to find a solution for Dad, the wolfsbane is eating him up you know." I reminded

"Dad wants us to be happy you know, if you don't give him a grandchild before his death, how peaceful will his soul rest?" Mike grumbled

"Mike, she was once our enemy."

I recalled those days when Mike felt agitated by her blabbermouth.

He used to say he can't stand her, that he don't want to cheat on his mate, Even when she initiated a kiss, he'll object.

"Yeah, it's a surprise she turned out to be our mate right?" Mike asked

The door opened as the maid walked in with my dinner....
