Chapter 6 He doesn't like me

  Laila's POV

The next day I woke up with the alarm beeping, I felt sapphire stired

"Good morning Laila." She greeted

"Morning Sapphire." I replied

I went to the bathroom, I washed my mouth... I suddenly remembered that I'm going to work alongside our boss today... Remembering his handsome face and hot physique, I felt wet down there. I sighed and shook my head to let go of those dirty thoughts, since last week, I learned he's my mate I felt like going to bed with him. I felt like he belongs to me, like he's mine and the funny thing is that I have been having wet dreams and dirty thoughts entering my mind from no where... His lips so soft his tongue taste of blue berry and whiskey, I bit my lower lip as sapphire purred

"I want our Mate." Sapphire said

"No sapphire, please.. He doesn't like us, he didn't call nor check on us please." I said to sapphire as she whimpered.

"Don't worry, we might get opportune to find another Mate or choose another." I said to her and then I went through my bed clock. It was already 4am. I hurried to the kitchen and prepared shrimp cocktail and late-night steak and eggs. Then I put on my jugging clothes and headed out, this past few days, I find myself working past time. I had finished a heavy project last week, where I work over time and this time around there's a lot of designs I need to cover before I will go with my boss on the business trip. I went to the gym after my jogging... When I arrived home, it was around 5:00.

"I'm starving," I Said to sapphire

"Me too." We ate our breakfast and then I took my bath. Sitting in front of my makeup mirror, I was proud of my beauty, as I applied my lotion and a touch up on my face. I looked amazing and then I searched my wardrobe for a perfect and casual attire, my eyes fell on a palazzo jeans and a white long sleeve turkey shirt.

I put them on and wore my white slippers, with my black hand bag. I arranged my hair in a ponytail and wore my favorite white headband. I used it to remember Nina, she was the one that gave it to me on my 15th birthday. I smiled and headed for the door. "You look stunning." Sapphire complimented

"Oh thank you." I replied

"I would love to visit the cinema again Laila, it's been long." She said and I chuckled.

"Tomorrow then." I said and I felt her excitement and smiled.

The cab pulled up in front of the company. Of course I was an early worker. I hate being late, and I made it my priority ever since middle school to always be on time for anything. The time was 6:35 when I arrived and we were given 8:00, I entered my office and started work immediately, one thing was sure, I love my job because I love designing... I and sapphire started producing new designs as they were being stated in the dashboard.. We had so many customers too. I worked that I forgot about lunch, soon the business telephone rang "To the meeting room Miss Hales." I hurriedly grabbed my note pad and phone to the meeting room, I was nervous too because I had never been to the company's meeting room before. I pushed the door open and felt the tension in the air.

"Laila Hales!" I heard a cold voice yelled my name in the presence of this many people... I felt scared and nervous have I done anything wrong?

Then I saw my boss glaring at me in anger. Did I do anything wrong? I asked myself

"What do we do Laila?" I heard Sapphire's tensed voice

"I had no clue sapphire."

He approached me and I gulped

"You dare look at me in the eyes while I'm talking to you!" He commanded in a cold tone and I felt something in me broke, my mate speaks to me in this tone, have he forgotten that I'm his mate? The question hammered me, I heard sapphire whimpered and went to the back of my mind. She doesn't want to witness this side of our mate. I bowed my head immediately

"What sort of designs are you producing young lady? Are you sure you know your job?" The question sounded as a slap to me

"Did you want to bring down this industry?" He yelled at me

"I'm sorry sir." I managed to say, my heart shattering, my eyes getting misty. He does not know how hard I worked just to get those designs done and people were patronizing our handwork.

"Sorry for yourself, take this trash away." He threw the designs offered to him on my face as my tears fell down my cheeks, my head still bowed. I heard sapphire growled in anger, her anger was not good as she loses control easily. I picked up the designs and turned to leave

"Let me at him, he's mean." Sapphire said and I shook my head

"He's an Alpha sapphire and he's our mate, we have to endure whatever he throws at us." I cautioned her as we left. Back at my office I poured out all the tears I was trying to keep in check.

I worked all day all day and night for these designs, I can't believe he called it trash. I felt so bad to hear it from him. My good mood was soiled.

           Amos POV

Clark growled at me noticing how I treated her. She looked more beautiful today, and that's my anger, she's making me lose my mind like my mother did to my father.

"You're being too hard on her." Clark growled at me fighting for control

"Yeah, that's what I want,I don't want her in my life." I said

"Well i want her, and I will cherish her, I love her Chris." Clark said calling me the name I despise... The name my mother called me.

"Clark.." I warned

"Christamos...." Clark retorted

"You are making her suffer Chris, and I hate it, it's hurting me too."

"Well I don't care." I said

"She's our mate, our luna, and she deserves to be loved not loathed." Clark growled at me

"So... The business trip, the business with the company from Switzerland, I'm taking Pauline with me." I said not wanting to see her again. She's making me crazy and making me react in a way I can't tell. Her lips so soft and sweet like that of a baby, her skin soft like cotton her smooth and shiny black hair and her scent mesmerizing my senses. I wanted to see her again but I decided again it. Why does she have to be this beautiful? I Heard Pauline squealed and everyone clapped.

   I entered my car and Pauline followed me inside, I met Franklin and Nicky's gaze

"What?" I asked angrily

"Alpha, where's Luna?" Franklin asked me, I gritted my teeth

"Are you that deaf? You don't have any Luna and stop calling her Luna, she's not a Luna..." I yelled at him and everyone present.

"Alpha your uncle is already manipulating the mind of the head Elders you'll be stripped off your Alpha rights." Nicky said.

"I can fight my own fight Nicky, I don't need anyone to fight for me. Perhaps his days on earth are over."

"Alpha, do you mean you'd remain single all your life, like without a mate, without an heir?" Frankie asked as I glared at him to keep shut. Franklin smiled and then suddenly started sniffing the air his eyes glowing, as he sniffed the air

"Frankie, what is it?" I asked.

"I smell something," Frankie said. He stopped in front of a young blonde who was busy with her phone. She looked at him confused and arched her brow, she's pretty too

*Mate* he growled.... His mate was a human, and she glanced at me and Nicky who were smiling.....
