(Epilogue)

Laila was so happy that she finally gave birth to her baby, she cuddled him to sleep singing him lullabies as he slept off. She held him in her hands continuously staring at him, he's just so beautiful, he's handsome and so white. Indeed he was a blessing sent to her from the goddess.

"Still awake?" She heard Chris voice

"Oh Chris, I just can't bring myself to leave him, I want to hold him forever." She said to Chris, he chuckled and kissed her temple

"Yeah, he's the most beautiful thing in my life after you." He said wrapping his hand on her slender waist

"We need to go to sleep now honey, it's already 12pm" Chris reminded her

"Oh Chris, please? Let's take him to our room?" She pleaded and he nodded with a smile.

THE NEXT DAY

According to the custom in Moonlight pack, there must be a reuniting ceremony for the new heir in the kingdom, in this ceremony, all the pack members are to be present and they will all transform fully into their wolf forms

"Laila, I'm so proud of you, I think we'd be going, I promise to always come around to check on my grandson." Mrs.Hales said as she hugged Laila

"Oh mum, I'll miss you." She sniffed and hugged her sister Nora as well, Nora smiled patting her back

"It's okay big sis, I'll just have to finish college then I'll come live with you and my nephew." She informed as Laila smiled

"Oh, Nora, just don't get into trouble Okay? That's all I'm asking of you." Laila said

"Guess i should get married soon.." Blake stated as everyone laughed

"Don't get someone's daughter pregnant for no reason." Laila warned and pulled his ears

"Okay, okay, ugh.. I'll really miss you Banito." Blake said with wrinkled temples, Laila could tell he was trying his best not to cry, She missed them too, just this little time they got to spend together, she felt like the old days again. She hugged him tight and pecked his cheek.

"Don't worry, I'll tell Liam the story of his brave uncle Blake, who was always stubborn and taunting me all the time." She hugged him tight and hugged Mr. Hales.

Laila was hesitant at first, but finally she hugged her biological father, stepmother and Fred.

"I'll surely miss you guys, well what can I do?" She bid them goodbye and watched them leave.

"So.. We should start the preparation for the reuniting ceremony?" Laila asked Chris

"As you wish, we should start the preparation." He pulled her into a hug and gently sucked her lips, his hands roaming her body as he kissed her neck

"I missed the sexy you." He said as she laughed

"Oh my gosh Chris, you are a nasty father." She teased

Laila with the help of the wives of the elders of the pack dressed up Liam for the ceremony. She wrapped him in a hairy black wolf skinned shawl without any clothes.

Back at the throne room, the pack's priestess walked into the palace. Chris frowned on seeing her, he still held grudges for her

"What's she doing here?" He asked

"Come on Alpha, she's the Messenger of the moon goddess, you don't want to provoke the goddess right?" Nick asked him

"I don't care.. I believe she had something to do with my father's death." Chris said

Nick sighed and shook his head. Chris had always loathed the priestess because she was the one that told the Late Alpha, Chris's father that the former Luna was his destined mate, she also warned him that if he tries to reject her, then calamity will fall upon the pack.

"Buckle up man, she's still the Messenger of the moon goddess." Nick said and left

"She won't say anything stupid about our son, we won't let her." Clark growled

"Alpha, so good to see you again." The priestess, Leticia greeted slightly bowing to Chris.

"There's nothing good to see about me." He said in a husky tone, she just smiled at him.

His eyes softened when they moved towards the parted door as they fell on the goddess before him. Laila looked so gorgeous on the traditional attire, which exposed her white stomach and milky shoulders.

She looked like an enchantress emiting the supremacy of a specified realm, she looks calm but power surrounded her. Chris smiled, how lucky he was to be mated to such a beautiful queen.

Chris walked towards her as she took graceful steps towards him.

"Greetings Luna, Alpha." Selena greeted and bowed to Chris

"Selena, where's Liam?" Laila asked looking around

"He's with the priestess, she's performing some rituals before the main ceremony." Selena announced

"No damn way is that woman going close to my son." Chris angrily stated, he was about to stride towards Liam's chamber when Laila held him back shaking her head.

"I asked her to cast away every evil eye from our son Chris." She revealed as he frowned

"Someone else can do that." He argued as Laila shook her head again and sighed

"Just let her Chris, for my sake please.." She pleased

Chris sighed, he hugged her and kissed her temple.

"I know I couldn't protect my father honey, but I swear to the moon goddess that I must protect my family." He smiled at her and she nodded, Laila felt a warm feeling in her heart. She's proud of him and she Loves him.

That feeling of pride overwhelmed her, she now understood how it felt to be loved, she was glad she returned to Chris, that's the best decision she's ever made in her entire life.

"Okay, now can we go address the pack? I think they're waiting for their Alpha." She informed. He chuckled and pulled her into a kiss.

"Sorry Alpha... But you shouldn't keep the pack waiting." Frank said from behind making Laila jolt in reality, she blushed hard.

Chris laughed as she buried her face in his chest making Frank smirk and left the room. Chris and Laila then walked out of the throne room and Laila was surprised at how big the pack was. The members of the pack were much, she felt nervous, she never usually paid attention to the pack because of some other issues.

But now she marveled at how numerous they were, they were close to 3000, from her perspection they shouldn't be that much.

"Wow.. Laila, we'll be queen to this plenty people isn't it an honor?" Sapphire popped in

"It is an honor indeed, but it is saddled with so many responsibilities you know." Laila said to sapphire

"It's okay, you'll get the hang of it." Chris assured her, the people began cheering.

From the look of things, they truly loved their Alpha.

"My great people of Moonlight pack, I welcome you all to this great ceremony where we will be reuniting our bond with a new heir of the pack. As you all know, this bond will help our next Alpha stronger than the previous one.

It will be an honor if Liam gets to grow stronger than me." Chris stated and they all chuckled

"Well, with the help of my pretty Luna here, we'll build him up well to learn how to be a strong and responsible Alpha." Chris ended the speech as the people applauded him.

Soon, the priestess and wives of the elders walked in with Baby Liam, Sapphire was excited and Laila could feel Clark's excitement as well.

She knew Chris loved his son dearly yet she was scared of two things, she wouldn't want Liam and herself to be used as baits to bring down Chris

Then, she wouldn't want Liam to be a murderer, ripping off people's hearts and heads also proud and egoistic.

She promised herself and the goddess that she'll bring Liam up well and will teach him that power lies in your heart and not in killing people.

As for Chris, she'll ensure that she and Liam keep away from the enemy's track, away from their troubles and she'll assist him in every way she can...
