Laila's POV

The day was bright, I could feel my temperature was running high. I then entered into the tub of cool water, I discovered I might not be able to go to work with this temperature, I then walked to my balcony on a polo gown

"Good morning," I heard Gen greeted and I smiled at him

"Morning, have you brought your mate home?" I asked and he shook his head. His expression softened

"She won't come with me," he shrugged his shoulders and I giggled

"Why?" I asked and he scoffed

"I told her my age and she said 'you're still a kid'" Gen stated mimicking Maria and I laughed

"Oh my God, she said that?" I laughed and he nodded

"What's funny? Just so embarrassing." He said as he took a cookie from my box of cookies

"Hey, put that down," I ordered and he chuckled stuffing them into his mouth, arching a brow

"I'll confine you, you're too stubborn." I stated and he laughed.

"You know you can't, you need a guy like me to brighten up your mood." He wiggled his brow and ate the apple

"You know there are other ways I punish men, and especially stubborn ones like you." I stated with a smirk

"Too bad you have to be this beautiful, you're lucky you're not my mate, you won't leave the bed for a month." Gen stated and I laughed, just then my door was pushed open as Chris entered in a stunning pajamas of burnt orange, he glared at Gen who looked down and I giggled at how he mellowed like a rabbit under Chris glare, Chris then turned to me.

*what's so funny?* he thought

"You're not supposed to be in your Luna's chamber young man, your duty is to guard her not to enter her room." Chris hollered as Gen bowed and left.

"You don't need to be that rude with him, he's just....funny." I said shrugging my shoulders as he snorted

"You haven't touched your breakfast yet. Hurry up, eat, I have a surprise for you okay?" He stated and I nodded

"What is this surprise?" I asked

"It won't be a surprise then." He said as his eyes landed on my attire

"What?" I asked

"You were wearing this with him here?" He confer with jealousy

"I didn't really realize I was on this. No problem, not as if anything happened." I shrugged and dug into the pie.

"I will change your guards." He stated and I shook my head

"No, don't do that, I'm okay with Gen and Stan, they are friendly unlike some rude jerks I've seen." I appended as Chris chuckled.

I ate my breakfast and wore a jeans, I slipped on my flip flops and Chris took me to the Palace garden.

"What are we doing here?" I asked and he smiled at me

"You'll see." He said and blindfolded me as he guard my steps

"What are you hiding Chris?" I asked as we came to a halt. He gently took off the blindfold

"Happy birthday!" I heard everyone said and I gasped, it was truly my birthday how come I forgot? I was feeling so emotional right now. I hugged Chris so tight and I carried Kenny who hugged me

"Happy birthday Luna, why did you forget your own birthday." Kenny scolded like she's my mum, making me chuckled at her sweet nature.

"Happy birthday sweetie..." My mum said and though I didn't want to, I hugged her, then Nina and Blake, Angel brought in the big cake and I smiled. They sang me a birthday song and I cut the cake, I gave the first slice to Kenny and I looked around for Gray, he's not here. I was really happy today, they made my birthday special today and I love it.

"Thank you Chris and thanks to you all... I really appreciate it." I said

"This is my gift to.. You." Luna vera said hesitantly, not wanting to spoil my mood I collected the gifts. I ate my cake and immediately, I started feeling funny, everyone ate happily but Chris was by my side. I excused myself and rushed to the bathroom of the garden, I began throwing up, this was not new to me, seems like I really stressed myself.

"Are you okay sis?" Blake asked and I nodded, Fred handed me a tissue and I cleaned my lips.

"I'm fine, I think I ate a lot." I said and they nodded. I smiled, I had two brothers now and they were taking good care of me like I was the little one here.

"You should limit eating much." First time I heard Fred spoke since they arrived here, I shrugged and we walked back to the garden. I smiled at Flake who had a gloomy expression

"What's up girl?" I asked and she sighed, she was not happy and I knew it, I smiled at her and she forced a smile as a tear fell down her cheeks

"It's okay, just let him spend some time with his father okay? You owe him that." I said to her and she nodded, blinking back tears

"It hurts, it just hurts." Her voice broke down as tears poured down her cheeks, I sighed

"Hey... You don't need to cry okay?" Charlie and Cherie consoled her and I nodded to them as they patted her.

I walked to Chris and sat beside him

"I'm feeling tired Laila," Sapphire stated as I turned to Chris

"I want to rest." I stated and he nodded and took me to my chamber. He took of his pajamas shirt and lay on the bed beside me

"Come, lay on me." He said and I smiled as I lay on his hairy chest, while he stroked my hair affectionately.

"Alpha, there are some women here." A guard announced

"Let them in." Chris ordered as some group of women about 6 of them entered, some of them blushed and I frowned at their reaction, then I recalled Chris was only putting on his singlet. I frowned and wore him my T-shirt as he chuckled.

"So... You should check the package, that's my own birthday gift." He said and left. I took the big wrapped package, I opened it and I marveled at the diamond big wedding gown. It was a strapless pure white diamond mermaid gown with a long cathedral tail. I gasped full of excitement, the veil was made of real diamond stones. And the strapless top of the dress was beautified with diamond stones as well, I was really pleased and I decided to try it on. I was amazed and

Gobsmacked at how beautiful I was on the wedding dress.

"I love it." I said to the lady, who assisted me in trying it on

"I swear, you're the most beautiful bride I've ever seen." She stated and I blushed imagining the effect this gown will have on Chris.

I packaged the gown back and kept it in my closet. There was a knock on my door "come in." I said and Nina walked in with a smile

"Nina, how are you?" I asked and she smiled and shrugged

"I'm good and you?" She asked and I sighed with a smile

"Doing great." I stated

"Here's my gift to you." She said as she handed me a box. I opened it and smiled at her, They are baby shoes, a costly brand of it.

"Nina... I'm not gonna be pregnant anytime soon." I stated and she giggled softly making me frown

"What's up with you?" I asked and she grinned with excitement

"Don't you know?" She asked and I frowned at her

"I and Selena have been watching you all this while, since she told me you over slept." Nina shrugged and I scoffed, why should they watch me

"What for?" I asked and she sat close to me running her fingers down my hair as she smiled

"Your hair is golden now." She stated

"Yup, I dyed it gold." I lied and turned to her with a creased brow

"When last did you bled?" She asked and I gawked at her

"I haven't bled for two months now."

"You're pregnant big sis, congratulations!" She said and I was dumbfounded, pregnant?....
