Chapter 4 Mate

Amos pov

I decided to follow my Beta to one of my designing industries as we had a huge contract with one of the billionaires at Switzerland... Going to check on the designs, I don't know but for some reason clark, my wolf felt excited, and it brightens my mood

"I'm feeling so excited, I feel like something good will happen today."

Clark said and I chuckled

"Come on Clark, we both know that good things don't come our way easily," I reminded him

"Yeah right, but I feel excited." Clark said, while I peered at the street through the tinted glass window.

When we arrived at the designing industry, I saw Franklin awaiting me, he always looks good for his age....

Stepping down the Lamborghini, I matched into the building with my guards, causing a commotion as everyone in the company ran up and down cheering.... This was the fifth time that I visited this place this year, I shook my head but I felt happy and proud inside, maybe it was clark. But I love the cheering crowd as the ladies drooled over me, but none dare come close to me. My guards will teach them a lesson if they dare.

"I'm glad to see the improvements and I'm sure some people will get promoted today...I love the new designs this week and the producer should be promoted," I said to Mrs Anna.. The manager here and she smiled sweetly at me. " I love all your works, keep it up." I said as a sweet smell of vanilla and Rose oil. An arousing scent as clark jumped happily, I have never seen him this happy before, it made me smile

"Find her, she's close," clark chided

"Her?" I asked as I saw someone fall and subconsciously helped her up, her scent was arousing me in a way I can't comprehend... She was dusting her clothes like it was her invaluable possession, forgetting someone helped her... Suddenly her eyes met mine and god was she so gorgeous, with her pastle blue eyes, straight nose, small reddish lips, I was drowned by her beauty... She has long smooth black oily hair. Her skin pearl white, God, how can someone be so gorgeous

Clark growled out the words I'd always never wanted to hear *MATE*

"I want her." He insisted while I struggled with him to keep my emotions in check...

She growled *MATE* but her expression was scared and contemplating

"Hey, what's your name?" I asked in a low, resonant voice that some women purred and blushed.. I heard her purred and clark purred too. But she quickly ran up the stairs and I can't help but stare at her round ass... She looks good and attractive, I'm happy to be her mate but scared to give her my heart.. I glanced at Franklin, who looked so happy. Everyone began cheering and clapping and I felt a bit embarrassed, I found my mate in presence of my workers *fuck* I cursed as I walked to Mrs Anna

"Arrange the meeting, I'm taking the contract... And I'm going with that lady, what's her name?" I asked Anna who smiled at me

"Laila Hales, she's the one producing those designs, she's a new employee..."

Anna stated a bit thrilled..

Of course, they always wanted a fucking luna, why won't they be happy.

"I want to meet my mate." Clark demanded overwhelmed

"Calm down clark, I too want to meet her but seems like she's nervous and timid." I said to clark, he seems to be restless, yeah me too, I want to see that beauty again. Turning over to Franklin, whose mood seems bright

"Get me some information about her, and I need to see her." I mind linked him and headed for the exit as they began cheering again and one of my bodyguard opened the door to the Lamborghini as I got in

*I will get you mate* I said to myself

Laila's POV

When he asked my name in the most handsome voice I have ever heard, sapphire purred

"Sapphire, please don't do that again." I pleaded with sapphire

"Please kiss him, please, this once." Sapphire cajoled

"No way!" I yelled and ran upstairs, though all I wanted to do was stare at those handsome light green eyes, but i don't want to kiss him, i ran to my office, my breath hitched, i couldn't bring myself to replay the scene that just happened now. My boss was so hot, sexy and full of muscles... He's my mate? I was expecting a lower class sweetheart not a relationship built on wealth but a relationship built on love.... Love is blind indeed, he looks supernatural and powerful, i never wanted to fall deeply for him.

"Come on, our mate is cute.." Sapphire complemented

"I know, but he's the richest billionaire man in the united States sapphire, we might suffer heartbreak; and I don't want that.." I told sapphire

"He won't hurt us, he's our mate dummy" sapphire argued

"Mate or no mate, he's bound to hurt us," I argued

"He won't." Sapphire stated

Just then the business telephone rang

"Hello," I called

"Laila to Ma'am Anna's office this moment." The caller said and hung up the call, I hurriedly left my office for the elevator

*oh God, please let this be good*

I prayed silently and the *ding* sound brought me back to reality as I hurried to ma'am Anna's office. A soft knock on the door, and I received a

"Come in." I gently opened the door and entered the office.

"Good day ma'am." I greeted and sat down on the swivel chair.

"Laila," she called my name, "our boss had asked that you join him on a business trip." She stated

"What me? Why me?" I asked though I felt sapphire's excitement.

" your designs are good and they are attracting wealthy business associates" she said , giving me a warm smile "you are talented..." She said to me as I smiled

"Thanks ma'am." I said, it's been long I had been observed or complimented for my talents..

"You're welcome my dear, do sign these documents okay?" Mrs Anna said

"Okay." I said and signed the documents...

I was so glad that I get to finish the new designs today.... They were really good and attractive in a matured way.

It was finally finished and just then, the bell rang signalling working hours was over... I packed up my items with my laptop for the new designs. I was awaiting a cab when a BMW stopped in front of me and a handsome young man around my age alighted from the car. I glanced inside and there were bodyguards, thinking I was obstructing their entrance, I adjusted my position to the left to give them some space.

"Excuse me," the guy called

"Who's he now? We already had our mate, no need for dating anymore" sapphire grunted

"I don't think he's after me sapphire." I said to her

"You're excused," I said gesturing the space beside me

"I mean... Can you come with us," he asked politely as I screwed him with my eyes head to toe

"No." I replied rudely

"It's from your boss, he asked to see you." The young man said

"Our mate!" Sapphire gasped " let's go laila, I missed him already." Sapphire said and I frowned

"Who are you?" I asked him as he smirked, why are these guys hot for christ's sake.

"I'm Franklin, his friend." He said

"I don't want to see him, I'm just an employee here." I forced myself to say

"What?" I heard sapphire screamed and whimpered sadly

"Sorry sapphire, we can't just throw ourselves at him." I said to her

"Then your job is at stake," the man said and was about leaving...

What? My job? Oh gosh, I forgot he's my boss and I love my job so much, I can't afford to lose it.

"Wait." I said as Franklin stopped, he turned to me, arching his brows for my answer

"I'm coming with you." I said as I entered the car and I cursed when I saw him smirked...
