Chapter 3 Life at Los Angeles

              Laila's POV

I had been searching for a well paid employment, after 5 years of schooling in college, I decided to base at Los Angeles at California. Where I and sapphire can live together, I have learnt how to live my life as a werewolf. And my wolf was rare... She was a pure white wolf with pure golden eyes.... She was so beautiful that I even tightened our bond and now we are one. Yet I can't get a well paid job at my 23 years of age.

     "Don't worry, they will accept us this time." Sapphire assured me. As we stopped in front of the huge silver gate. The Moon light company, one of the biggest and renowned company in the united states had offered me a job and I just hope for the best this time.

"Yeah, I believe so." I assured sapphire

       We walked elegantly to the tall skyscraper where i'd be applying as an employee for the mean time. I read industrial designing at one of the best college at London and I'm sure I would be getting this job.

  Taking in a deep breath to calm my nerves, I entered the building and was astounded at how huge and lovely the building was..... Really expensive and flashy. I walked over to the receptionist

"Hello, how may I help you?" The receptionist, a beautiful tall fair lady in her late 20s asked

"I'm here for the employment." I said to her, arching a brow

"Kim," the receptionist called and a young lady in her middle 20s rushed over " yes ma'am." She answered

"Take her to block 15," the receptionist stated as I followed the younger lady

"I still have high hopes laila." Sapphire said excitedly

"Yeah, me too, I have high hopes too." I said half heartedly.

We entered the elevator and after about 10 minutes, we heard a *ding* sound. This is it, either I get employed or fired, that is it.

"Miss please this way." The young lady stated and gestured me to an office

"Ma'am, this is new applicant." The young lady said to a middle aged lady

"Come in." The middle aged lady stated, glancing up at me.

"Have a sit." The lady said with a smile, checking me out.

"So you're Laila Hales right?" The lady asked, going through my files

"Yes ma'am." I answered

"You schooled at..."

"Imperial college London." I answered

"Okay, that's good." The lady stated

"I'm from las Vegas." I added and she gave me a lopsided smile.

"Well you've got the brains girl, just what the boss wants, ya grades are good." She stated and I smiled

"You're hired, resume work on Monday." She said to me " you're employed as a production designer." She said and I felt sapphire bouncing up and down in my head

"Calm down sapphire." I said and smiled at the lady

"Thank you ma'am, thank you." I appreciated her sincerely

"Oh, don't forget, only black and white are the dress code, white up and black down." She reminded me

"Oh gosh, I hate black." Sapphire stated and I chuckled at her childish attitude, as I walked out of the company. I was happy, in fact I was thrilled, I got the job and I was full of joy.

                  AUTHOR'S POV

"I don't want to hear anything that had to do with cherry, okay?" Amos yelled at Franklin, his gamma.

"Sorry Alpha, but the elders said the kingdom needs a Luna and it's true, don't you need an heir to represent this great kingdom?" Franklin asked

For a moment, Amos considered his gamma's words and there was an impact of truth in it.

"Enough of the Luna talk, tell me are the rogues still planning an attack?" Amos asked creasing his brows.

"Actually we sent more spies on them and they have not started planning an attack yet." Franklin stated and just then Nicole entered, he took Kenny to school, kenny was his 3 year old daughter.

"Alpha, we have to visit the designing industry, we have up to 10 contracts but the industrial designing is more of importance and profit making compared to the others." Nicole stated glancing at Amos. Just then the door was pushed open as cherry Williams walked in. She's the daughter of the Alpha of blood moon pack

"Good day alpha Amos, long time no see." She said ignoring the beta and gamma, Amos brought his cold eyes to meet hers.

"Get out" he commanded

"Come on baby, why are you treating me this way, I love you Amos."

He angrily slammed his desk making it break as everyone flinched

"Out! Now!" He yelled at her as she scurried away like a kitten. Then Nicole and Franklin quietly bowed and left or else he might take his depression out on anyone.

                LAILA'S POV

Life's been interesting since I started working at Moonlight industrial designing... I heard that the company was filled with wealthy, renowned business associate and the moonlight was a conglomerate, Meaning it has more than one business. Sapphire was thrilled with our new job and I've grown really fond of her. My phone buzzed and I answered immediately, still on the computer system... There are some designs I need to finish today so I can get to the next stage of the designs

"Hello," I called

"Big sister..." On hearing her loud excited voice, sapphire purred and jumped happily

"Nina.." I called happily" how're you doing sweetheart? I haven't seen you for some years now you must have grown... How are you?" I asked happily as a tear slide down my cheeks. I'm so happy I get to hear her voice, I'm working hard to get on Dad's good book else I'd had been with them now.

"I'm fine big sis, it's been so long..." She broke down making sapphire sad

I too sniffed "oh Nina don't cry now, I'll be back soon okay?" I assured her

"Okay, I miss you." Nina sniffed

"Me too honey, how's Blake and Mum?" I asked...

"They are fine." She said and then the environment became boisterous and noisy

"What's going on?" I asked sapphire

"I don't know but whatever it is I feel super duper excited and nervous..." Sapphire stated

"I will call you back honey." I said to Nina

"Okay bis sis, bye.." Nina said

"Bye baby, love you.."

I sprang up from the chair and stretched my stiff body, then I stretched my straight skirt. Pack my hair in a ponytail and headed for the exit... The environment was noisy and then I noticed someone must have been the reason for the commotion. Sapphire was getting super excited.... And then I took the elevator down. As I emerged the elevator... I stood alongside other workers and then a masculine pleasant scent of cedar wood brushed my nose. This scent was alluring and feels so good

"Go Forward, I can feel him Laila, he's so close." Sapphire urged me full of excitement

"Who?" I asked sapphire.

Author's POV

Laila frowned and sniffed, the scent feels so good, she searched sound the crowd, whose scent is this? It's mesmerizing her brain and wetting her feminine, she pushed closer into the crowd and she could hear a deep voice making her move forward....

 Then her eyes drifted to the most handsome and drop dead gorgeous man she's ever seen, with huge thick muscles... She mistakenly tripped and stood up as someone helped her up... She was so engrossed on dusting her clothes that she forgot that someone helped her up. Lifting up her head.. She was met with different stares and was about to leave, when she heard the word she was afraid of

*MATE*

he growled and she was stunned at sapphire's Reaction

*MATE* Sapphire said happily.

    No way, her boss can't be her mate, no freaking way...
