Chapter 24 The attack

I was just determined to find Laila and bring her back, because I felt it was my duty to bring her back, I felt like there was a reason I was mates to someone in her pack. There was a reason why I was made to befriend her since we were toddlers and there was a reason we get to meet again after 5 years... I had to bring back the Queen of this people, she must come back to her mate and her people and I will ensure that no matter what it cost me. I turned to the driver.

"Take to the eastern part of Las Vegas, I said and he nodded.

We arrived at the deep woods, with tall trees, I came here the time I was searching for Laila, after 5 years. I turned to the guards, stay outside, I will go in alone." I said to them and they hesitantly nodded. I put on my hood and covered my hair with my face down. I entered deeper into the woods where shakira, the strongest and most blessed seer of her time live

According to some people, there are unseen spirits guarding the forest and you must hide your face from them. I saw the seer's cottage, I took off my footwear and kneeled

"Greetings great seer, I'm hear again." I said, still on my knees.

"I see, you smell different, your daughter... Is a strong goddess, she's the reincarnation of one of the strongest goddess. You must bring her here after 3 days of her birth. You will receive some attacks and you will see things you are not meant to see... But you must not believe them." The seer said and I nodded

"I came here for a different purpose, my friend, the Luna of my husband's pack, she's escaped and we can't find her, and I need your help, I really do. We need her, the people need their Luna." I said and she sighed

"Your Luna is a queen of her own words... She's hard to please and she's a queen of war. She's really powerful but she doesn't know who she is... I advice you let her decide." Shakira stated and I sighed

"Please great seer, I just need her residence and address , I promise you that I will not force her to come with me, whatever she decides, I will obey her decision." I promised and she laughed a scary laughter

"She's the strongest of her kind. Same is the child in your womb but if you need her residence, you should search around San Francisco." Shakira revealed and I smiled and bowed

"Thank you great one." I commented

"Remember, guard the child well, I'm not the only seer, she's a gift from the goddess to you." Shakira said as I bowed and turned to leave.

I headed back to the car. My guards were already awaiting me. The distance from here to Francisco was about 7 hours drive. So I decided to stay at a hotel for the night.

Laila's POV

I saw myself in a cell, with someother women both young and old. They were all naked and looked thin and weak, I was confused on how I got here. I saw someone that looks so much like Flake but she was younger. The environment was boisterous with the cries of both women and children

"Save us our hero, please save us." One of the women cried weakly and others begun crying uncontrollably

I was puzzled, I looked at myself, I was putting on a superhero attire. Can my day get any worst. Everywhere was dimmed with the light coming from the lamps

"I can't save you." I pleaded

"You can do it heroine.." The girl that looked like Flake said and I nodded.

I punched the cage bar harder and it flung open, I looked at my hand in surprise as the women cheered.

A white wolf ran to our direction and I smiled happily, I was not alone in this mysterious place

"Sapphire," I called and she nodded

"Take them and follow me." She said

"But i can't," I complained in frustration and she sighed

"Yes you can," a lady spoke, she was so beautiful and fair, almost yellow

"Who are you?" I asked confused

"I am your Ally." She said and I frowned

"Your eyes, there are powers in your eyes, it's real Heroine." She said.

I woke up with a start, I was persipitating and panting heavily. It was already dawn. I ran downstairs and saw Maria, she was already dressed and I sighed heavily, I was relieved it was just a dream.

"Good morning Maria." I greeted and she nodded

"How was your night?" She asked

"Confusing," I replied and she scoffed

"Nightmares, I hate them." She said and I laughed

"You're up so early?" I asked more like a statement

"Yup, I had a big contract today, some celebrities have me booked for their concert... And I want to hurry up, they are about 20 of them" she whispered the last sentence and I gasped in surprise. She was famous, I liked that part of her.

"Wow... You're one talented pretty lady you know." I said and she giggled

"Well... You'll be back home today?" I asked and she nodded

"I have to go, see you later." I said as I rushed out for my daily routine.

The day went fast, I took my shower and I dressed up for work. I made myself some noodles for breakfast and headed for work

"Hey good morning," Charlie greeted

"Good morning baby, how was your night?" I asked as she rolled her eyes

"Who's your baby?" She asked teasing

"You are of course." I said.

"Mrs. Hales, Boss is asking for you right now." A young I knew to be Clara said as I followed her. Charlie by my side, we entered the hall to so many whispering by the staffs.

"This is our best, our production designer, Mrs Hales." Mrs Helms introduced me to a tall and breathtaking man. He was so handsome and tall, I felt my breath hitched as I started into his honey brown orbs, he was a werewolf with an alpha aura. I gulped again and looked away immediately, I already found my mate but I can feel him eye- fucking me already.

"Mrs Hales, meet Sir Lugard, he is one of our very best customers." She then whispered "Rich and fucking hot too." For once, sapphire glared at the older woman "let's leave here." Sapphire told me, she sounded uncomfortable

"Mrs... You say?" His eyes never left me, but his question was directed to Mrs Helms.

"Yes I am already married." I said with a serious face

"Too bad I don't see a ring, not even a ring Mark." He said mockingly.

"I'm already mated to someone Mr." I stated stubbornly

"Really? Too bad I was late." He smiled at me, his fingers brushed my hair lightly gaining a gasp from the other workers.

"You're beautiful and brave, your imaginary husband must be lucky." He commented with a smile

"Thank you, now, can I be excused?" I asked both my boss and the handsome Mr. Lugard

"No," he announced

"Your skills are great, I want to sign you up for a million dollars contract. I need some new designs, I need for a business." He stated and I nodded with a smile, I felt he froze and smiled back, am I that affective to men?

"Laila, Angel is in trouble I could scent her and there's a scent of blood too and rogues."Sapphire sounded restless and I winked at charlie to come to my aid.

"Umm I'm pressed please do excuse me," I said as my boss threw daggers at me, I smiled at her.

"I'll take over from here..." Charlie said and I secretly gave her a thumbs up.. She winked and I rushed towards the direction the smell was coming from, sapphire pushed me harder as I run faster than a normal human.....
