Break-up

Fourteen:

In silence, I just stare into his eyes where I find myself reflected through his deep blue eyes and that is the first time I clearly see the color of his eyes. As if I am drawn to his deep blue eyes and I couldn't take my eyes away from him. And it looks like I wasn't the only one who drawn when I stared at him, because even Almos did the same thing to him and none of us cut that stares until…

"Jeanne?" suddenly someone called out my name that interrupts us and the sound of it, I already know who it was.

"Ahm…"

"Go ahead. I'll be leaving." He said and before I could say a word Rina gets closer.

"Oh, is it really you!" she excitedly said and with a doubt I turned to face her.

"Ri-Rina." I said and smiled. "What are you doing here?"

"My mom asks me to pick up something in here." she answered. "How about you, what are you doing here? Are you with someone?"

I quickly turned around only to find that Almos was already gone and when I try to find him, I couldn't see him anywhere.

"Where…" I quickly cut off myself because I already knew he is back from where he came from.

"Jeanne, who are you looking at?"

"Oh," I quickly turned to her and smiled. "Nothing."

Rina look at me clueless before she replied. "Okay," when suddenly a nun came and I think she looks familiar. "Sister." She said.

"Here is what your mother asks for." She handed a paper bag before looking at me. "It's you."

"You know her?" Rina curiously asked.

"Yes. They got lost behind the church."

"They?" Rina immediately suspiciously look at me.

"Ah, she's right. I'm kind of lost."

"But where is that guy with you?" the nun asked me.

"Ahm, he went home already."

"Really, you were with someone? Who?"

"Chadd." I quickly answered Rina before turning my gaze back to nun. "I think we have to go now, Sister."

"Huh?!"

"You got what you needed and maybe your mom is already waiting for that, right?"

"Oh, yeah! You were right!" she agreed and quickly say goodbye to the nun before we finally left the church.

…

"Why are you staring at me like that?" I asked without looking back at her because I can sense it too much I feel like I'm going to melt.

"Chadd wasn't with you earlier."

I cough because of what I heard from Rina. "Wh-what are you talking about?" I nervously asked as I look at her.

Rina smiled before she answered. "Nothing to worry, I won't tell to anyone."

"What--"

"This is my road, bye!" she said as she waves her hand while running away from me.

I smirk and blow an air before I smile. Knowing Rina, she really won't tell anyone.

Dream World

I quickly saw Almos who just silently enters our room and sit down to his chair without looking back to where I sited. And for some reason I felt a bit betray because I thought that we're close enough to simply greet even with a simple stare? But then, I realize that it won't be necessary because we're not friends yet.

"Did you know that they already broke up?" Dione said.

"Who?" I curiously asked as I took away my gaze from Almos.

"Almos and Sylvia."

"The top student of our school?" I was surprised that Almos and Sylvia had a relationship, of all the girls here in our school, she was the one! Really?! "Alright…" I composed myself. "Why did they split up? What's the reason?"

"Well, no one knows the real reason but according to rumors there's another woman Almos like."

"What?!" My voice got a little louder in response to what she said and that got the attention of others. Which I immediately worried because that might also get Almos' attention, yet when I look at him it seems, he didn't notice it that I finally feel at ease. "Sorry, I think I over reacted."

"Nah! That's given. Even I got surprise when I first heard it," Dione answered and added. "Besides, there is no proof of who is the woman that Almos likes now, because they have not seen anyone else with him."

"O-okay…" I don't know but I feel that I'm the reason why they break-up and I feel so guilty about it.

…

I stared intently at Almos from where I was sitting in the park of our school and because there were only a few students there, I am free to stare at him from afar.

"You stare at me too much." Almos spoke.

"Oh, damn it! What the hell are you doing here?" I angrily replied to him and I didn't even notice that he already left the place where he was sitting. "You are just sitting there?" I asked while pointing the place he sat down.

"Yes." He answered and sits beside me. "But when I notice that you were intently looking at me, I came here."

"But how?!"

"I can travel fast, like a lightning speed."

"Alright! I understand…" because I'm in my dream and everything is possible.

"Tell me what's on your mind?"

"What are you talking about?"

"I know there is something bothering you, why don't you just spill it out and let us see if I can answer it."

"Huh!" I rolled my eyes before I smiled and said. "I don't have anything to spill out, okay!"

Almos intently stare at me and it was longer enough to make me feel awkward that is why I quickly turn my gaze far from him.

"We didn't break-up because we're not in any deep relationship, okay?"

"What?"

"You heard it loud and clear." He said and stands up.

"Wait!"

"You have to go home now."

"What…"

…

Another morning wakes me up and another dream was already done. With questions that keeps popping into my head because of one person, Almos.
