Beginning

One:

"Who are you?"

That was the first words I asked of him when we first met.

"Who are you?"

And that was the last words I asked of him when we last met.

I don't know how I end up asking the same question I ask him for the first time. It feels like, that was the only words I can say when I saw him for the last time.

Last time…

Yes, it is our last time to be together.

It hurts whenever I think of our end. But no matter what I do, no matter what I think, it will always be the end of us.

Our story begins unexpected and it ends unexpected. We really don't know each other from the beginning but I never expected I won't be able to know him even from the end.

Junior and Senior High School

Am I still dreaming or what? I silently asked myself while I keep looking up the sky that begins to shade into dark.

"What are you thinking?"

Suddenly my best friend asked me that finally stops me from doing what I am doing… or should I say I'm doing nothing and just silently asking myself rather than to voice it out.

I smile before I answered. "Nothing." I simply answered. "Well, can we go home now?"

My best friend had just finished basketball practice while I was patiently waiting for him so we could go home together even though our class had already finished.

"I know what you were thinking Anne." He said that made me to look up to him and I couldn't deny it, he knows me too well. "Stop it, will you?"

"What?" I plainly asked back as if I don't know what he was talking about and before he could answer back, I quickly stand up out of the bench I'm sitting and added. "I'm starving already! Why don't we go and buy something to eat before we go home?"

"But--"

"Please, Chaddy!" I cut him off and called him to my chosen nickname since he had none.

Chadd sign off to surrender before he answered with a smile. "Alright, let's go!"

"Yeepee!" I excitedly answered before we went out of the school.

I silently said to myself as I keep my eyes roaming around the whole place. And without further introduction, I already knew where I am.

Jeanne Fabbri is my name.

Check because I still remember my name so clearly.

I'm sixteen years of age and I'm already a junior high school.

Check because I still remember my age and school year.

Chadd Gyles my one and only best friend and I always call him 'Chaddy' since he has no nickname.

Check because I still remember my best friend's full name.

And he is older than me for only two months so, he is already seventeen years of age though with the same year as mine.

Also, my parents are still alive and I have two siblings that were probably knock down right at this moment of time.

Well, I am too but then again. I am here to this place. Unknown to how I get in here after I fell asleep. So, I knew I am here in my dreams that I also call my dream world.

The unfamiliar sight at the same time some part of my dream world was too familiar since that it is just the same at my waking days. Exactly the same but mix with different touch that I couldn't explain and once again I end myself being in this school, where students eventually came crossing back and forth as if they are normally going in and out of the school.

Weird because I know I am just dreaming but this place or this world seems so alive. As if it is truly exists not just a dream but a real world. The sky even looks the same in my waking life and even the ground looks the same. Everything looks so normal and if I might admit it.

Well, everyone will tell that I am the weird one. I am truly the 'abnormal' one.

"Hey!" suddenly a girl voice called out as she tap my shoulder that made me to look at her. "Are you alright?"

What should I say? This isn't the first time I meet her and for goodness sake, she is my best friend here in my dream world. Not a guy but a girl.

"Huhm," I just said and smirk.

"Hey! What was that for?!" Dione irritably asked and that was her name but I never knew what her surname was but who cares, this is my dream world so I don't have to know since that I will wake up soon.

"Nothing." I just simply answered before I clutches to her shoulder. "What is the event today?" I excitedly asked her since that every time I am here to this dream world, I knew that there is something going on.

"We are going to watch the full moon." She excitedly replied that I questioned.

"What do you mean?"

"We will watch the full moon to rise and it isn't just a simple full moon because it is one of a kind and only exists every one hundred years and we're so lucky that we can finally see it for the first time! So let's go and wait for it!"

I don't know but the excitement I saw from her face makes me feel excited too. I don't know what cause me to agree to wait and watch the mysterious full moon. Maybe because of what she just told me, the full moon is one of a kind and it only shows up every one hundred years.

Intriguing, right? That is why I wanted to see it with my own eyes, even if I'm just in my dream world. I'll wait without knowing I will meet someone special that will give different shades of colors.
