Asher felt his blood turn to ice just by hearing that voice. He tried his best to calm down his mood, but a strange feeling crept through him.
Somewhere in his heart, something waited eagerly for the curse, while somewhere he felt opposition to it.
'What the hell,' he thought.

Asher twitched his lips. This curse seemed to be useless. What if someone didn't have a shadow? It seemed like a shadow was useless other than hiding our loneliness.
Luckily, I didn't accept the price, or Ember would have become a nun. He patted his chest. Somehow, he felt that this curse was not as simple as it seemed. Otherwise, it wouldn't be called a curse.
Asher just shrugged his shoulders to shake off the unease. Next, he would receive his actual boon, and he was excited to learn about it.
