Chapter 1:

"We are under attack" a black-haired man entered the hall panting, he looked at everyone and said "Call everyone and be prepared to protect our people"

Then looked at one of the guards saying "Take the Queen to a safe place"

He turned to a blond man wearing a white cloak, " Ask your men to come and fight, we need them... We cannot let our enemy invade our borders." The man nodded and walked out signing for two men to follow him.

"What is wrong, Iba?" the princess asked the stressed old man.

"The black army is approaching our borders." he sighed "the last five years were peaceful, I thought that finally, peace will be permanent"

Ida was an old man with a strong belief that all the Kingdoms should live peacefully without war. The princess understood him, for she was like him striving for a peaceful world. In wars blood was shaded, men were killed, kids became orphans… she hated war.

" I hate it too, but don't worry. Our men are strong and they will protect our people" her voice carried with a sad tone.

Ida looked at her feeling sympathetic. He too lost his son in the wars. Unlike the princess, he knew the whereabouts of his son. She lived in the hope of finding her kidnapped son. She received shattered clothes after a few days of the kidnapping of her son. She believed that her son was alive.

A loud sound of thunder cracking in the distance revealed that they are winning the fight.

The five protectors of the White Empire, each had different abilities. They assume the role of protecting the empire's borders. With them, their people feel safe.

She looked at the distance; she breathed deeply feeling the calamity.

" Princess…" she turned looking at Ida

" We should head to the council" he approached her and put his hand on her shoulder " we need to discuss the matters with them concerning the truce with our neighbors "

" Yeah, let's go" she smiled and both of them walked out of the hall.

In the corner of the hall, there was a tiny chair colored in blue. It was a gift from a carpenter on her childbirth. After the kidnapping of the little son, the whole empire was drowned in sadness. The little prince was the only hope for the continuation of the king's bloodline. After two months of the kings' murder, his only decedent was kidnapped.

Meanwhile, on the borders, one of the five royal guards who can control thunder and the winds, flew on the air spreading his hand shotting the enemy with thunder. His hands flaming in white light and his eyes were white. He looked at the enemy warning them if they get closer he would kill them.

Against his warning they came forward, anger flow through his veins, he could feel his body shine from anger, he cried and a firework of lighting shot at the enemy killing those who were at the front

" step one step forward, and all of you will turn into ashes"

The sky lightened and the thunder roared as a monstrous beast wanting to eat its prey.

The enemy stepped back, the leader who was wearing armor, felt angry. The headmaster didn't tell that the Southern Kingdom had an element warrior. He signed for his men to step back. Next time he would come prepared and conquer the southern notions.

The warrior watched as the enemy turned away defeated. He felt proud that he put them to rout. The other warriors left him to protect the empire knowing he can do it. He looked around him, eyeing the empire, his home, where he grew. He promised that he will protect his people. He wanted peace. But whoever attacked his empire, he will surely die.

It was dark here, it was a good thing that it was a full moon. Lily felt scared the ruins were scary. The hoses were destroyed. The cracked ground can easily be noticed. They walked cautiously. She didn't pay attention and walked into something and fell down. She felt something crushing underneath her, she looked and shouted. " what is wrong" exclaimed Eliza, Jack looked at the scary woman and laughed, " it is only a skeleton"

"You should expect that we heard stories that the ruins are a scary place where there are ghosts, dead bodies, skeleton."

"Wow, it is really skeleton, look his clothes are burned." She said while examining the skeleton.

"Lily, don't be afraid. We are with you" comforted her Eliza

"yeah we will protect you," said jack sarcastic.

"What we are looking for again. We had looked in every dumn house and there is nothing"

"I heard that the tomb riders, are no longer coming here. Rumour said that there are no treasures, and nothing to sell in the black market" replied Lily, wondering why she felt that something was going to happen.

" didn't you noticed that we cannot use our powers" pointed out Lily.

Jack looked at her puzzled "what?"

Iliza hit him on the head " yeah, I noticed that as soon as we stepped in the ruins." She paused then said " I feel that something big is going to happen"

"I have the same feeling" assured Lily

Jack seemed in a deep taught then said: "I can use my powers" he held hand and after second they were on fire. Both Lily and Eliza looked at him then at each other puzzled.

" This is strange!" exclaimed Eliza

"why? What is the meaning of that?" murmured Lily quietly but Jack had heard her.

" don't worry I will protect you. I am powerful after all" he said joking

Both Lily and Eliza moaned in annoyance. But they knew even if Jack was dump he was a loyal man who held those who he loved in his heart, and will protect them no matter what.

"Ok, let's do our mission. I want to go home and have a warm bath"

Jack and Eliza smiled at Lily's remark.

"Let's finish our mission. A warm bath is waiting for us" replied jokingly.

Jack knew that something was strange here. Why he could use his power while his companion cannot. The ruins were clothed in darkness, if it wasn't a full moon they wouldn't even see their steps. These ruins were a glorious city. But because of the great war, everyone died. No one knew what exactly had happened. It was said that the ruins were the ashes of a strong city with strong citizens who cannot only control the elements but can also hypnotize others. That what old stories said. He heard a roar coming from the distance. It was coming from the dark forest. A place no one can approach. Legend says that whoever enters the dark forest he won't come out alive.

He looked at his companions, and thought, something was really strange. He turned around looking for something. He felt that someone was watching him. He chocked his head thinking no one was here. If someone was here Eliza would feel it.
