Chapter 12 – Level Up Rank

[Adventurer's Guild]

We are now in the guild to hand over the drops we have collected. As usual there's a lot of adventurers who's staying and looking for party members to grab a quest. Most quest that are not touched or removed from the bulletin was the A-S Rank Subjugation and Quest. Well, we can pull-off the A-S Rank Quest even though our Adventurer Identification Card are at D Rank.

I was getting out all the drops on my dimensional storage when the staff said her congratulatory words to us.

"Congratulations! You're now a C Rank Adventurer. You can take quest from E to C Rank Subjugation Quest. Keep up the good work." Kelly the staff said to us. "Please give us your identification card so we can make changes to it." She asks for our cards. I handed over my card and they did the same thing. "Please wait for a moment." Then she left.

"Would you guys want to look for a quest we can do for tomorrow? It is better to have it approved so we can directly." Rogziel suggested.

"Ah, yes, it is much better to look for new quest." I approved it.

"Come on, let's take a look at the bulletin." Kezef spoke. We went to the board and decided if we will get the quest of not.

"What do you think about this one? King Mantis subjugation in west forest?" I ask them. "This is a B-Rank Quest but one of you can kills this one." I bluntly said while still looking at the other quest.

"Can we get a quest higher than our rank?" Fria asks us.

"Let's ask Kelly if we can get this quest." I told them. "Let's pick another three quests, I think I need to practice so my skills will not be rusty." I browse more on the bulletin. "I want to get this one. A-Rank Chaos Gorgons." I was happily grabbing the quest from the bulletin then look behind me since they went to silent to only see their face like...

"Are you serious about that one?" They all ask me with shock.

"Yes, I will get this one, For the past quest, I did not do anything but still get a portion of the commission from the monster drops and materials." I was confused why do they give such faces.

"I did not know that this will happen due to the extent of your humor Sis. That's a Chaos Gorgons! I will not partake on subjugating it. Nah-Uh~" Fria shook her head.

"Who implore that we all will handle this one? I will be the one to kill this one alone. I need to stretch some of my muscle, I think I got some energy to waste since I always just sit down whenever we do quest." I told them and look for another quest. "Ah here, who wants to handle this one? B-Rank Black-Eyed Ogre. Oh! This one as well, B-Rank Ruthless Raptor Hyena." I grab the quest and wave it on so they can see it clearly.

"What? Let's get this, three B-Rank and one A-Rank Quest." I told them. They look like they will faint any minute.

"Seriously Sis? Are we really going to get that?" Fria asks me again with disbelief. I just look at them poker face. "Sigh~ Jingo and Gunther let's get the quest she wants." She convinces the two males.

"Alright, alright! Let's go for this quest." Kezef said in a defeated tone. Rogziel just nodded his head for agreeing. We were about to go to when two persons blocked our way.

"Ahhh, excuse me." The small girl reluctantly said and look to the taller girl. "Sis, you tell them." Then hide on the back of the other girl.

"Hello, we would like to ask if you are accepting members?" She said, then suddenly look on the ground since no one from our side said one word.

"Ah, hello may we know the reason why you're asking if we are accepting members?" Kezef ask her.

"Ah, we cannot get any quest since we're lacking of member. As a policy of the guild. An adventurer must form a team compose of 3 or more people." She explained.

"Ah, yes correct. Did you ask another person other than us?" Fria ask them.

"We did but they did not accept us and they just make fun of us." The little girl said.

"What quest would you like to get?" Rogziel ask.

"Ahhh, we pick this one. This is a C-Rank Quest Hellgolem." She hands over the quest to them so they can take a look. Hellgolem interesting! Picking a monster that will make a lot of money. I like that.

"Sis? What do you think? Should we help them?" they all look at me. I just shrug my shoulders then...

"Do what you want to do." Then grab the quest for the Hellgolem and went to a vacant table to rest. I heard them rejoice.

"Yay! What is your name? How old are you? What is your current rank? Where do you stay?" they ask them few questions and I just listen to them.

"I forgot to introduce ourself. My name is Mattia Gaizac, 22-years old and this is my little sister Eleanor Gaizac, she's 18-years old." She introduced their name and age. "We just reached the C-Rank adventurer today. We stay at the inn nearby the adventurer's guild." She added.

"Let's check your status later is that alright for you?" Fria asks them. Ahh! Almost forgot to appraise their statuses.

"Let them do the appraisal test here in the guild." I mention, since they have the appraisal artifact here. I cannot let anyone see the stone I made to appraise one's status.

"Understood sis, come here, let's check your status." Fria, Kezef and Rogziel guide the two girls.

"We would like to request for an appraisal test." Kezef talk to the staff.

"Are they a new adventurer?" The staff ask them.

"Ah, no. We just want to see their skill status and what rank are they." He explained then the staff nod and get the appraisal artifact.

"Please put your hands in here. Then the status will be shown in a while." He said and move a little bit the artifact. The first one who check the status is the little girl.

Both of them are dual-class user. They also both have good skill and status. It will not be difficult for them to finish the quest later. Having good members are the best. Why does the other adventurer reject them? To think they will waste such talents.

"Jingo." I called out his name and motion to come to me. When he's in front of me I whispered to him… "They both have a good skill; Let's talk to them once we are done with the quest. We should not let them go. It will be a waste to hand them over to other people." I spoke. He nods and walks back to them.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, here's your Identification card." She then hands over the cards to us.

"We would like to get this quest." Then placed it on the desk, she checked it and look on the paper. She looks reluctant to say. "Is there any problem?" I ask her since she did not say anything.

"We have a policy that if a group of adventurers who wants to acquire a quest higher than their rank should be subject for approval from the guild Master." She explains. "Are you still willing to accept this?" I nodded as a sign that I agreed to her question.

"Very well, I will not transfer this request to the Guild Master's office for approval." She spoke and went to the second floor.

A few minutes after the staff and the Guild Master, Sir Andovine. He was looking all around the place then our eye met. I just bow a little for acknowledging his presence.

He then walks towards me. "I see, I thought there are new kids who wants to flaunt their skills and wants to die in such a young age when I heard to Kelly that there are group of adventurers who wants to acquire a higher rank quest." He laughs for a moment. "So, you and your friends want to finish the quest that Kelly mention a while ago?" He asks me while pointing out the papers the staff named Kelly was holding.

"Yes, there's no need to make a fuss over simple things. We just need to abide the rules of the guild." I told him while not making any facial expression. "Are you going to approve it or not?" I ask him again.

"Haha, what an impatient lady do we have here. I'll accept this but in one condition. Allow me to come with you on subjugating the monster, I will also add another quest if you approved my condition." He negotiates.

"Then suit yourself, as long as you will not have a portion of the commission we will be getting from this quest." I firmly said.

"Alright! Then I'll invite a few people is that alright?" He added.

"Since it is settled then we can go now, right? Let's meet at the Royal capital entrance tomorrow at five in the morning." I told him and look at my companion. They just look back to me and when they realized that it's a go signal, they walk towards me and followed me to come outside the guild building.

"Sis, are we having a team party tomorrow?" Kezef asks me. I nodded in response.

"Yes, we will have a long day to subjugate monster. Prepare yourself, this will be fun." I let out a soft laugh while smile, although I know that they can't see it since I wore my mask. Only half of my face are seen.

"Sis, stop laughing like that. IT gives an eerie feeling. Are you going to massacre whole dungeon? You look so excited." Fria mention the dungeon.

"Has she ever done that? I haven't seen her fight whenever we have a quest." Rogziel mention. Ah, right all I ever did was sit on the tree and watch them fight the monster alone.

"Ah right, you haven't seen sis dealt with a monster. Hmmm. What's the best description for sis when she fights? Any idea Kezef?' She asks Kezef then they look at each other and smile like an evil.

"Ah, she's like a monster when she dealt with a monster. Even a monster is not the best example to describe her. Pfffttt." Kezef said while giggling.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA" Fria and Kezef laugh so hard.

"What are we going to do with these two girls?" Rogziel asks.

"Let's go to the pub to eat and discuss matters regarding with these girls." I spoke and headed to the pub where we usually eat food.

[Deco Pub]

"Welcome to Deco Pub!" a man greeted us upon entering the pub. We request for a secluded table and good for six persons. "Please come this way." He guides us to the table on the corner with less people.

"Here's the menu." He placed the menu on the table and wait for our orders. Once the order was listed down, he left.

"Ehem." Kezef started the conversation. "We have a proposal for the two of you." He mentions. "This will be beneficial for the two of you as well. We would like to recruit both of you to be part of our team. Of course, all the commission fee we will be getting will be divided and you need to live with us to lessen the inconvenience. Also, you need to use a code name to hide your identity. All information shared on this table is all confidential so make no mistake by disclosing such information to other people." He added.

"Yay! Join us, this will be fun." Overjoyed from what she heard; Fria encourage the two girls.

"We got a few items from Calypso as well. You will not regret it if you'll join us." Rogziel added.

Wow! Look who's talking now. Looks like Rogziel is setting down now. Good sign.

"See? See? Even honey boy agreed." Fria happily cling his arms to Rogziel. This is new, he did not resist. Before he's always annoyed when Fria does that to her.

"When you join us, I'll give you a present if you passed the test. Are you in?" I ask them.

"Look we got this one from her, this is exclusive for us only. No one have this kind of stone." They keep on persuading the two girls.

Even though the food arrived, they still keep on bugging them to join us.

"What's the name of your party? Why do we have a code name?" Mattia ask question.

"As we have mention before, confidential name should not be disclosed to outsiders." Kezef told her again. "The name of the party was The Agents; we need to change our name to keep our identity hidden as much as possible. Although few people know our face but they don't know our real name." He explains.

"Sis, let's join them." She looks at her older sister like a cute puppy who lost a treat. The older girl sigh in defeat and spoke... "Alright we will join you. The deal was not that bad, I was planning to join you after the quest tomorrow." She mentions, oh so it's already been decided. Good, the team was already complete. A good combination of skilled people. We're set to go. The team was already complete now.

"Are we still recruiting more?" They ask me. I shook my head and said... "Nope, you guys are enough. We don't need to add more people to the team, if in any occurrences, we will be teaming up to another party just in case." I told them; they all look teary eyed.

"Awwwww, I'm touched. We're enough for you? We will not leave you sis." Fria overreacted and the others laugh at her expression.

"HAHAHAHAHA" they all laugh. Our table seem so lively because of their loud voices.

We continue to eat, drink and talk more before heading back to the inn where we stay. We also added one room so that the two boys will stay they're and the girls with be sleeping in one room. This is a four-bed room...

"Rest now, we will meet Sir Andovine tomorrow in front of the Royal Capital Gate." I told them then went to my bed. Ahhh, it so nice to lay down in bed and sleep all day...
