Chapter 1 - Where it starts

[City of Santalla | Year 2063]

My name is Calliope Balgron, 23 - years old an aloof woman who decided to stay at home and play online games all day.

I would usually go outside if I ran out of beer and snacks. I live by myself in a studio type apartment. My parents are still alive. They live to the next City of Santalla. I move out of the house when I was 19 years old and started working part time to different kind of decent work from taking care of pets, doing some research paper and even working in a café. I invested my money and take the risk in a stocks exchange. That's how I manage to live by myself until now.

Ting! Ting! Ting!

I heard the sound of the notification coming from my computer.

I received a message from Guild Master. I open and read it.

From: Kicco

Message: Please be online for the upcoming event. Thank you!

Another notification from the game I am hooked on playing. I am addicted to games and loves to stay at home rather than mingle to other people.

It says that there will be an event to the game where you can gain items from defeating a monster. A solo leveling dungeon and a guild war. I must finish all the task before the event starts.

Since there will be an event, I decided to take a bath and probably buy some drinks and snacks good for a week.

I wear a baggy pants and sweat shirt. Grab my wallet, keys and face mask. I don't go out without a mask since I have an allergy to dust.

I think I should load up my account for me to purchase new item or costume for my character in game.

I grab a few of my favorite snacks, biscuits, noodles, drinks and a little bit of chocolate for sweets. I fall in line to the counter and paid the food in my cart.

As soon as the cashier packed my items and handled the change, I grabbed the bags and walked out of the convenient store.

"hmmmm hmmmm la la lala~~" I am humming to the tune of my favorite music. I did not notice that I am already in front of the building where my apartment is located. Got the keys on my pocket and unlock the door in front of me.

I placed the food I bought in the refrigerator and for the biscuits and noodles, I put them on the storage cabinet. After that I change my clothes and sit down on a chair in front of my computer.

I logged on to the game and read the event details and other notifications that popped on the screen. There are quite a lot of quest to finish. Might as well start now.

"Should I finish the daily task first or the sub quest?" I am thinking which one should I do first. "Ah I'll do both of the quest." I said and started playing. I need to level up my character so I can fight the dungeon boss. I will purchase on the Market. I need some potions that can enhance the EXP and HP. I'll change and level the skills as well. I think the set of skills I used was not suitable for the Dungeon Boss.

"Click. click. click. click. click." The sound of the mouse when I clicked it. "Yes! almost done! I need some refinement stone as well and gems to enhance the skills indicated on the items of my character." If someone sees me, they might think that I am insane for talking to myself. Well as if it matters. "I should finish the guild quest as well." I told myself and play another round of dungeons and sub quest.

After 4 days of straight playing the games. The day of the event has come. I message the group chat of the guild and ask if I can come to party with them and clear some quest before the main event comes. They responded and we finish it quickly as possible.

Ting! Ting! Ting! Ting! the sound of the notification from the group chat. The group chat flooded of incoming message from the members of the guild.

Kicco: Does everyone are now online?

Asla: We still need the support to clear this dungeon.

Welp: Alright GM we're complete. We can start the strategy meeting now.

Kicco: Where is Calli? We need her aid to complete this event.

Calli: I'm here.

Kicco: Good! We will create 6 teams. Team A must consist of 2 Tank, 1 Support Healer, 1 Mage and 1 Warrior. Team B will be 2 Assassins, 1 Support Healer, 1 Mage and 1 Warrior. Team C will be 3 Tanks and 1 Support Healer and 1 Mage. Team D should have 1 Assassin, 1 Tank, 1 Support Healer, 1 Mage, 1 Archer. Team E must consist of 5 Archer. Team F will be Me [Tank], Asla as the Support Healer, Welp as Assassin, Shena as Archer and Calli as Necromancer.

Everyone: Copy GM!

Kicco: The event will start in 1 minutes! Let's do our best to Rank 1 this event.

It seems that they need the necromancer to complete the event. Since they were looking for me. I am the only one who uses a necromancer on our guild. This character is hard to familiarize to be honest.

Kicco discussed the strategy that we will be using to finish the event. As expected, the event is a difficult one. Wow! salute to the game developer who keeps on creating such great RPG.

I inhale and exhale. Alright Let's start this game now.

10.. 9.. 8.. 7.. 6.. 5.. 4.. 3.. 2.. 1.. Enter the Guild Dungeon~

"The first level of this dungeon is really tough. I must say that they did it really difficult for the players to finished as quickly as possible. Impressive." I smirk after I said those words.

It seems that we are playing for a couple of hours already. Team F was on standby and Team A - D are doing the first attacked for the mobs. Quite amusing how they manage to finished the mobs. I am waiting for the officers to command us before charging in to the boss lair. We are now at the last stage; The boss is our enemy. It is a 3 Headed Dragon, The Serpentine Dragon. Exciting!

"Team E attacked!" I heard that Welp said.

"Asla, Calli Support!" Kicco said.

"Roger!" I start clicking the keys on my keyboard and mouse. My character started moving towards the dragon. I landed a few attacked and it gives a damage. Good thing that I manage to purchase some potions and upgrade my character strength.

"Help Calli!" Welp said.

"Coming sir." I told them.

Without hesitation, I started to attack the boss. I used my skill, the dancer. I summons a monster that do whatever I command them to do.

"Asla, Heal!" I spoke. I need to maintain a good HP level balance so I can release full blow of my special skill.

"Alright!" Asla said.

"Thank you!" once I am fully healed, I once run with defense towards the Serpentine Dragon.

"Alright, one last blow Calli!" Kicco said. And I release my special skill.

"Gwaaaaaaaa" the dragon howling in defeat.

"CONGRATULATIONS! THE BOSS HAS BEEN DEFEAT." - system notification.

"Gather everything you can." Welp said.

I was gathering the drops. And yes! I was lucky to get a demon item set.

"Lucky! Got some precious item from the drop!" I said joy. I checked the status of the items I got. Nice, I can use this set on my next grind.

After I clear the storage and refine some items. I will clear some Dragon Coins Dungeon.

"Krghsgrrr" My stomach growled. I should eat something light.

I cooked noodles and grab some coffee. I went back to my computer and play again.

After few hours of playing...

"Ahh! I have to pee." I stood up and run towards the bathroom. Once I'm done, I look at the clock and it's already 4 in the morning? "Time goes by very quickly that I did not notice it." I try to step forward but felt a little dizziness. My eyes got a little blurred and hazed, my head feels heavy. It feels like I am about to fall and hit the floor.

Blaaaaggg!

And my sight went black and loose consciousness.
