Against the World: The last Monapart

No one with the name Monapart could ever use magic. But no Monapart ever cared about it. They were always the strongest of them all. Each one stronger than the last. The world couldn't accept their existence. When the strongest Monapart died, they swore to never let another one get stronger again. Every human, beast, and demon would be killed at the mere mention of the name... But time passes, and soon, they forgot. "Curses...Curses... The fucking curses! They were the rage, the fear, and the embodiment of someone's will, so why?! Why all of them are made to kill everything?!" Said the first Monapart. But the curse in front of him didn't answer, it just stared at him smiling like always. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- When he was born, he didn't cry, nor made any kind of sound in the process, but no one cared for him enough to notice. After just two days of life, he opened his eyes. An unusual thing as babies usually need at least a month to do so. His green eyes moved wildly looking at every corner of his room with deep curiosity, but not understanding anything in his view. He still couldn't understand the concept of 'thing' yet, but that changed after one month of life. After one month, he understood he was alive and most of the things in the room weren't. He still couldn't put it in words but he clearly knew that he was way different than the chair next to him. The speed of his understanding was outstanding. Sadly, in his sixth month of life, while he was asleep, flames covered his entire room and himself. It didn't take even a second and all the room turned into ashes. The baby didn't die as expected, but he was no longer in the dark room. [ Curse received: Heart offering ] . . [ Heart offering: Once per day the curse bearer will lose one of his five senses until he loses everything or dies ] . . [ Heart offering is taking effect ] . . [ Sense of hearing lost] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- -At least one chapter of 1000 words a day -If you don't like the start, I guess chapter 21 is a good one to jump to but you will still feel a little lost -If you find any error, please comment on it and I will fix it -I hope you like it

History

Chronicles of Monapart- 1vol.

Durkheim Blooddragon.

He became king at the age of 10. Because of his inexperience, he made a series of stupid mistakes that lead to the death of many people.

He lived a miserable life, both generals and nobles blamed him for his faults and he couldn't say anything back.

He didn't have strength or intelligence, but he still put a lot of effort into everything he did. He spent all his time studying, training, and practicing.

He didn't have any time for anything and lived his life like a robot that trains, eats, and studies.

Twenty years passed after the start of his reign, but even after all his efforts, he was still as stupid and weak as the day he became king. Hated by everyone, the king was on the edge of deep depression.

Then he met a woman, she wasn't the prettiest but she was smart and nice to him. The first words she said were 'Marry me' which made him stupefied. Why would anyone want to marry him, he wondered.

Maybe she wanted the throne, but he couldn't care less about it. If she wanted it she could take it.

But that wasn't the case. She started helping him with everything from politics to farming. She proved herself to be a genius among geniuses. She was smarter and wiser than everyone he had ever seen.

Durkheim felt hope again, he felt like the kingdom could become something worth respecting again.

Unfortunately, his hope didn't last long as the neighboring empire declared war on his kingdom.

The nobles and generals didn't want to fight a losing battle so they started a revolution. They usurped the throne and exiled Durkheim and his wife to a faraway island.

The nobles and generals surrendered to the empire and offered everything they had. But the emperor didn't like weakness or betrayal. He killed every noble and general of the now fallen kingdom.

He didn't let Durkheim alone either. He declared him a traitor and a coward who couldn't fight for his own kingdom. He sent soldiers to the island Durkheim was exiled and imprisoned him.

The emperor left his wife alone on the inhabited island. She wasn't strong enough to survive or seek revenge.

Durkheim was marked with a slave mark on the imperial capital making him unable to ever set foot in a city again. Then, the emperor stripped him of his surname and sent him to die in the desert.

The desert was endless. He spent days walking and thinking about how much of a failure he was. He lost his father's pride and honor. He let his wife die. He let his kingdom fall. He entered a deep depression and decided to commit suicide.

But even that he couldn't do well. He wasn't brave enough to do it. And before he could die of starvation, he was saved by a desert tribe. They bought him to the village and fed him.

Even after eating, he couldn't find the will to move or live. He was being called 'monapart' by the tribesman. It meant slave of heaven or talentless person in their language.

The village was built around a giant hole the village people called abyss. That was easy for Durkheim to understand. The abyss was massive, he didn't know how deep it was but he was sure a meteor couldn't create such a large hole.

The village people with the little understanding they had of his language convinced him to enter the abyss. He didn't mind as he didn't have anything to lose.

They promised him, that if he could reach the bottom of the abyss, it would fulfill all his wishes.

Five years after he entered the abyss, his wife appeared in the village looking for him. His wife who he thought was dead, survived and spent the last five years looking for him in the endless desert.

The tribesman admired her will, bravery, and love. Because she could speak their language, she quickly discovered her husband entered the abyss. Determined and filled with hope, she chased after him into the abyss.

The village people tried their hardest to convince her to stay as no one had ever came back from the abyss. But she didn't care and entered anyway.

Five hundred years later, the first living being to leave the abyss reached the village. His name was Julius Monapart, the one who soon became the strongest being alive and the first world emperor.

End.

Alexander and Evan stared at the reaper slowly walking towards them. Alexander didn't believe they could survive. His only hope was to destroy the last two portals at the same time, but it failed.

He still wanted to find some way to cure his curse as recovering his hearing would help a lot right now. The system didn't tell him anything and he couldn't talk to Evan about it.

He wasn't in a condition to fight anymore as well. His proficiency with the footworks still wasn't as good as Evan and using shadow steps for so long made his head and body almost useless.

"Evan! The sword is cursed! I can't hear you and I will die in a few days if I don't find a way to dispel it..."

Evan heard him and dashed towards Alexander. Standing face to face, Alexander saw Evan smiling as he said something.

Alexander was reading his lips when Evan sent him flying with a kick. He wanted to get him out of the battlefield.

'Watch me' He repeated the words he read from Evan's lips.

Alexander didn't have a pretty landing as he rolled on the ground with his bones snapping.

"Fuck you" He said weakly after he stopped rolling.
