Against the World: The last Monapart

No one with the name Monapart could ever use magic. But no Monapart ever cared about it. They were always the strongest of them all. Each one stronger than the last. The world couldn't accept their existence. When the strongest Monapart died, they swore to never let another one get stronger again. Every human, beast, and demon would be killed at the mere mention of the name... But time passes, and soon, they forgot. "Curses...Curses... The fucking curses! They were the rage, the fear, and the embodiment of someone's will, so why?! Why all of them are made to kill everything?!" Said the first Monapart. But the curse in front of him didn't answer, it just stared at him smiling like always. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- When he was born, he didn't cry, nor made any kind of sound in the process, but no one cared for him enough to notice. After just two days of life, he opened his eyes. An unusual thing as babies usually need at least a month to do so. His green eyes moved wildly looking at every corner of his room with deep curiosity, but not understanding anything in his view. He still couldn't understand the concept of 'thing' yet, but that changed after one month of life. After one month, he understood he was alive and most of the things in the room weren't. He still couldn't put it in words but he clearly knew that he was way different than the chair next to him. The speed of his understanding was outstanding. Sadly, in his sixth month of life, while he was asleep, flames covered his entire room and himself. It didn't take even a second and all the room turned into ashes. The baby didn't die as expected, but he was no longer in the dark room. [ Curse received: Heart offering ] . . Castle of Glass

"Defeating it and taming it are two different things. All the beings inside the forest are monsters. They usually don't think much and just attack everything that moves. They are the opposite of the animals from the green forest"

"So where do we find the bird?"

"Here we won't find it, we need to move more to the center of the forest"

"We will explore then, got it!" I was a little excited to explore.

Evan got a little worried but it was fine since in the worst case they could just run, and he doubted there was something faster than them in this forest. The strongest monsters seen in purple forests are level 3.

We walked in the forest for some time. Evan said that no matter the direction, the illusions will lead to the center of the forest.

The purple forest was a strange place, with a lot of different monsters. The last time, when I spent some time here, it was really hard to survive compared to the green forest, and I was only at the surface of the forest.

The monsters won't get close to us because of their instincts alerting them, and we won't go massacring all things alive.

Then I could see it, the center of the forest, it was a large plain area with a huge castle in the middle of it. The sun shone upon the castle,

"Wow! That is incredible"

"Indeed, I had never seen something like that either" Evan was just as surprised as I was.

They saw the giant castle, it was made entirely of glass and with the sun shining upon it. The reflected light was blinding. It was almost uncomfortable to look at it.

"Are we entering it?"

"I don't see why not" Evan didn't mind exploring the castle.

As they got closer to the castle, its majestic figure was clearer and they could see how beautiful it really was. The engraved patterns around the whole castle impressed both of them.

They entered through the giant doors. The castle was even more stunning from the inside. Evan was wondering who or what could make such a thing.

Alexander and Evan entered the castle and looked around the giant hall.

Evan didn't seem interested.

"The castle isn't as big as it appears outside"

Alexander didn't hear him as he looked around excitedly.

The giant castle made of glass was like a dream to little Alexander. How could someone build such a thing? He wondered.

After some time they went deeper into the castle opening a lot of doors.

Everything was made of glass. The light from outside reflected nicely through the whole castle and illuminated it as if the castle had its own mini-sun.

Alexander had stars in his eyes as he looked around.

Evan saw his enthusiasm and sighed while following along.

"Be careful, this place must have some traps or monsters lurking around"

"Sure" Alexander said without even looking at him.

Alexander didn't listen to Evan as he touched everything trying his best to find something interesting.

They arrived at a big door looking way more extravagant than the others.

Evan was unbothered as Alexander opened the door in hurry.

Evan looked behind them trying to see the entrance of the castle but he couldn't see it anymore.

He knew they were being careless but he wouldn't be stopped by things like fear or unknown danger. If he didn't do anything dangerous he might as well not do anything.

Alexander and Evan entered the door and this time there was something different at the center of the room.

An azure sword made entirely of glass was stuck on a throne with bones sitting on it.

They stared at the murder scene and walked around the throne.

"What do you think?" Evan asked.

"Of what?"

"The sword"

"It's nice and pretty but it looks too weak to be a sword"

"Pull it out then"

Alexander didn't think much of it and walked up to the throne.

He grabbed the sword with both hands and pulled it.

*RUMBLE!!!*

The moment he removed the sword, the entire castle started shaking.

Alexander felt the sword sucking something from inside him as he received the system messages.

He tried letting go of the sword but it was stuck in his hand.

After reading the messages, Alexander's face turned grim.

Evan realized something was wrong with the sword but they needed to get out of the shaking castle first.

"Let's go! Now!" He shouted, but Alexander didn't hear him.

Seeing Alexander not moving, he grabbed his hand and dragged him along.

Alexander couldn't hear anything. Everything was mute, he saw Evan saying something but he couldn't understand.

The glass around them started to break as they ran to the entrance.

The glass fell from the roof and broke right in front of them but Alexander couldn't hear it, he was disoriented because of losing one of the senses he relied on.

They left the castle, and the moment they stepped outside, the whole thing collapsed into little broken pieces of glass.

Alexander's ears started hurting a lot. Suddenly, his thoughts were much louder than before. He opened his mouth to say something but he couldn't tell if the sound was coming out.

Alexander started getting more and more anxious. Losing one of his senses was maddening.

He closed his eyes, concentrating on his sense of touch. He could feel the breeze of the wind, the heat of the sun, and the heavy dust. kneeling, he touched the dirt and the grass.

After calming down he opened his eyes. Taking a deep breath, he got up and looked at Evan.

He seemed to be trying to say something to him for a while now but Alexander couldn't hear it.

*BANG!*

Alexander felt something hitting his back, his bones breaking in the process.

Alexander was launched like a sack until he crashed into a tree.

After knocking Alexander out, the giant Boar made of bones rushed at Evan intending to do the same to him.

Evan punched the boar using his strength steps and bones flew everywhere as he easily defeated the creature.

Unfortunately, the boar wasn't alone as more and more creatures made of bones started to appear.

Evan rushed to Alexander. After confirming he was still alive, Evan picked him up and left him on a high tree.

"Now, let's see what's happening here"

Evan climbed down the tree and destroyed another bone creature. It was clear that this is necromancy magic cast by someone or something.

He made a quick surveil around and noticed that the creatures were coming from five black portals. Then he rushed to destroy the creatures and the portals.

After a while, Evan started having fun destroying the skeletons and started counting how much he had to destroy until the magic stopped.

'1'...

'5'...

'15'...

'40'...

He used a few seconds to destroy forty of them. Each portal created five skeletons per second. The Boars were weak and slow, the deers were fast but weak and the hawks were annoying but easy to hit.

The real problem appeared after the first 200 died. The ones that were already destroyed started reconstructing themselves.

But before the creatures could reconstruct Evan destroyed them again.

This time he made sure to turn the bones to dust.

Evan started singing as he crushed the undead creatures. He wasn't worried he would be overwhelmed by the sheer number of enemies since they were too weak.

Evan got bored really fast after killing around 2000 of them. They couldn't even leave the portal before they died.

Evan decided to destroy one of the portals. He couldn't use magic so he just punched it until it broke.

The moment the portal broke, all the other portals resonated and absorbed the energy of the destroyed portal.

"Now, that's dangerous"

The other four portals became considerably stronger and summoned way stronger creatures.

Lions, panthers, and bears started to leave the portals, each one summoning 2 per second.

Evan was forced to use way more strength and started getting tired. After some time he couldn't kill more than they appeared, and their numbers increased exponentially.

But Evan wasn't worried. A few seconds later, suddenly 30 undead were destroyed at once and another person appeared beside Evan. He smiled and said sarcastically.

"You woke up? I thought you died of shame from being knocked out by a pile of bones"

Alexander stared at Evan and said "I can't hear, I'm deaf now"

Evan understood now why he was so strange.

Alexander only saw Evan moving his mouth in weird ways.

They made quick work of the undead and Evan signalized for them to destroy two portals at the same time since one strengthened the others.
