 I couldn't believe it when I saw that Josh Edwards had added me on Discord. I was in shock. I hesitated, wondering if I should add him back. I thought, "What's the worst that could happen? He might just bully me on here too." Despite my reservations, I hit the accept button. Almost instantly, a message popped up. He waved, and I waved back.Josh: Hi.Emily: Hi, why did you add me?Josh: I was bored.Emily: Oh, okay.Josh: Is something wrong?Emily: I was just wondering why you decided to do this. I mean, you hate me. I mean, you and Avery constantly make fun of me.Josh: I don't hate you. After finishing loading and unloading the dishwasher, I got distracted by TikTok, scrolling through various relationship videos, most of which seemed silly. Two hours later, I heard my phone go off. Oh, he texted me again.Josh: HeyI just looked at it and then shut my phone off. I walked into my room, which had my gaming setup. It wasn't much, but it worked. I turned on my Xbox and went into a multiplayer game. The rest of the night flew by in a blur. The only thing I couldn't get off my mind was why Josh texted me in the first place, how we started talking that night, and how he said goodnight to me.
