She grabbed his hand very tightly unintentionally. not that she was in the place to stop him. but getting him involved in this matter seemed a bit too selfish. even if he had his own manners of not letting any girl get harrassed in front of him.

Teressa looked at him narrow eyed and shaked her head indicating him to stop. she felt a bit too helpless. she wasnt trying to fight back, instead she was avoiding it like she was taught to.

Just then ryan takes her hand and pulls her closer while spinning her. she had both of her hands held tightly by ryan, facing aron.

Aron felt a little overlooked. he was the top student of this school and still a low grade bully was harassing someone in the park in the presence of him.

She wanted to breakfree but he was too strong. she spinned again to get out of the headlock. now she's not so close to ryan but her hands were still captivated. 

She said in a loud voice, "let go of me, you dont have the right to hold me like this" ryan smiked and said, "you dont really understand you are not in the position to say no. this top boy with no strength cant save you."

Aron tried to make a move but ryan's other two friend caught him. aron was trying to snap out and any moment now his friends wouldve come to look for him. so he wasnt that concerned.

Teressa was getting a little scared since she didnt know if she could be saved at all tonight. ryan was holding her both hands with his one hand and with the other he was trying to caress her hair.

Just then a loud agonizing scream was heard as a strong long leg knee kick was placed at ryans face that threw him in the pool beside. teressa was able to set free. then aron with all of his strength snapped out. ryans both friend also slipped into water. 

A masked figure wearing all black hoodie, shoes and jeans was seen, teressa recognized her right away. it's Rebecca.

Rebecca looked back at teressa and smirked. she quickly picked up the bags and passed it to teressa and aron. nolan was so excited, he kept jumping and then  gestured them to start running. rebecca grabbed teressa's hand and started running.

nolan was so excited he was running freely. the four of them were running fast but rebecca was too ahead of them. 

After running for a while when they were assured that ryan cant follow them anymore, they stopped. nolan was the first one to stop. when teressa stopped, she looked at rebecca and started asking, "how's your kick so strong?".

"I like to beat up bullies u see." they started laughing in between their huffing. they all struggled to catch their breath. but of course, rebecca was different, she likes to exercise a lot.

she was staring at them. then nolan asked looking at aron,"why were you not helping her? were all of ur stamina put into studies? you dont work out or sumn'?" aron looked quite puzzled. 

Breaking the awkwardness rebecca said,

"it wasnt you who rescued her either." nolan got a little hesitant too. "be honest, you like her, right?" 

"uhm, nooouh"

"hmm, then." rebecca didnt ask any further. she doesnt like to meddle with other peoples lives, always straightforward conversation. aron looked at teressa asking if she was alright, she nodded. then he finally looked at rebecca. "thank you for helping her. i wasnt really expecting ryan to stoop that low." 

"dont worry, i dont trust thugs that easily though." 

Rebecca then looked at teressa and said,"im leaving, then"

"Shouldnt u be helping me get home?" jokingly said teressa.

"well, you've got two whipped boys for you, any of them would like to escort our top girl, im pretty sure."

"but-"

"i'll drop u home" said aaron

"im leaving..." rebecca turned around to leave. 

"then let me go with you." nolan requested. 

"hmm" rebecca and nolan started walking for home. aron and teressa walked the other way. 

"hmm...so..."

"just say it."

"why would u think i like her though?"

"maybe because you dont know me but after you saw that post, the first person to run over to her was you. only if i hadnt bumped into you, i wonder how things wouldve turned out."

"yeah but still its..."

"also the fact that you kept looking at her at the whole chemistry class, anyone can tell you do bro."

"now how'd you notice that? you didnt even put your head up the whole class."

"after you put the ribbon on fire, i noticed how your eyes kept looking if she was laughing at u."

"..."

"No, she didnt. shes a very 'abide by rules and honest' type of girl. she wouldnt mock you."

"i figured."

"you do realize you just admitted that you like her in the past five minutes."

"you've got a way of talking." rebecca giggled. "anyway, you friends with her?"

"maybe"

"maybe?"

"she takes me as a friend but i dont want one."

"want one?"

"hmm, i want a best friend. one or two at most. but she's friends with everybody. she doesnt want any best friend, never considered me one either."

"so ur not friends with her because she doesnt consider you a best friend. but you want a best friend in whom you can confide?"

"yes, exactly that."

"Im assuming you need a boyfriend, not a best friend, haha."

"hahah //fake laugh// No."

"So, can i be ur bestfriend then?"

"I dont like making friends with people who ask before making so. you just become friends, not ask to be."

"then consider me an exceptional one."

"haha, could take that into consideration if your intention is more than being friends with her through me."

"you'll find out if you do and you said ur not that close with her anyway."

"fine, then see ya at school."

"is this ur house?" points at a house near the road in between many  "hmm, maybe, maybe not"

"come on, best friends need to be partners in crime too"

"you first."

"fine....hey, we didnt exchange numbers either"

"look for it in the school website, i dont have time now.." said rebecca while jumping past the gate of her house. nolan all confused, smiled and walked towards home.

after getting home, nolan searched in the website and found her number very easily, just like she said. then he messaged her.
