Chapter one: The Adventure begins
As the rain fell in heavy sheets, Hyun-rin and a man with silver hair like mine stared at each other with fists of fire. Not sure how to stop them or what I should do, I stood there wondering why my brother is fighting? How did this even happen? My thoughts broke as I hear a mans sharp voice pierce through my ears. Confusion rattles my brain, I don't understand anything. Hyun looks older, and I look older. I feel warm tears running down my face, I suddenly jumped out of bed scared. I look around taking in my surroundings, I see my brother peacefully sleeping in his bed. I lay back down after coming to the conclusion that it was all a dream, for the rest of the night I couldn't sleep. I was unsure if I couldn't sleep because I was scared, or because I had so many questions that I didn't know the answer too.
The next morning I told hyun about my dream, he just laughed and told me to get ready for training, before I got us both beaten by Will. Will is our father, well not our biological father, he is strong and hates when me and hyun are late. Hyun and I are orphans, and he isn't my real brother. But he is nice to me, and always treats me like family. Mother Chae-yeong said she found me and hyun by Bom Lake, she said we both looked famished. You're probably wondering, if we were found together who says hyun and I weren't related? Well you see me and hyun are half breeds, im half human and half wolf. But hyun is half human and half cat, we are so different but I feel as though we're the same.
In the corner of my eye I see hyun suddenly shift into a cat and start running toward the training grounds, I quickly turn around to grab my spear. I feel this sharp pain in the back of my neck. A loud noise echoes through my ears, I fall to the floor in pain. all my memories are floating in my head. All the bad things swimming in my head starts to get more and more vivid like it's playing a horror movie, it feels as if all my painful memories are taking over me. I hear mother Lucy scream for father Issac, I try to look at her but the only thing I could see is fire. Not just any fire, this fire feels familiar. I could feel it licking my skin, I look around trying to find something or someone I know.
A sinister laugh echoes through the smoke and fire, behind the smoke, I can see a pair of yellow glowing eyes. I try to run but I'm frozen still, the eyes become clear as the smoke slowly disappears. The yellow eyes are attached to a tall thin man, he towers over me with a sinister smile. Soon his smile turned into a frown, as he grabs my shirt and throws me against a tree. I can feel the pain run down my spine, I want to scream but I can't, it's like my lips are sealed shut. I look at the man with terror in my eyes, as he crouches in front of me. He suddenly gets close to me and I can smell the stench of death, " You were my biggest mistake" he whispered. It sounds as if he was trying not to laugh, there is so much hatred in his eyes, I can feel that he wants to kill me. The man cocks back his left hand and punches me, I quickly open my eyes and see father Issac. I was thoroughly confused, father Issac never comes to visit the north wing. He is usually too busy tending to what he calls "wayvern king matters". He turns to talk to mother Lucy, they both nod their heads and just like that I close my eyes and drift off.
