chapter 4: the statue (UPDATED)

12 pm

Aden's pov:

As we made our way down, I could see the statue in my view and it was where we were going since it was first on our list.

Paimon: 'As we all know, poetry and language flow like the wind...' she explained as we went down to the statue. 'There'll definitely be someone there who knows about your sister. At least, that's what Paimon thinks!' she continued. 'Whether the gods actually answer you is a different story. You never know unless you try. So let's hop to it!' she finished as we were now starting to get supplies while on our way there.

Swiming over to the statue I could not help but smile that we were at our 1st statue since we arrived here and woke up on the beach since I was not from this world, to begin with. 'Well, here it is.' i said to aether as we arrived on land and looked at the statue while we were walking towards it.

The statue was huge and seeing the star marking on there made it clear that you would probably be praying to it as if you were praying to a god from the stars.

Looking at aether, I started to nod at him and watch as he walked to the statue and placed his hand on there. Watching the event unfold I could see the marking glow a yellow color as his hand was on there to the point where it activated to a green glowing color. And that made aether back away slowly when the statue was glowing just after he activated it in the process.

As I watched the activation of the wind statue I could see the ball light up and release something that looked like an orb. And that orb has something to do with the wind. As the orb flew down I could see it fly to the traveler to the point where it disappeared after the orb made contact with him. Looking at his hands he could now feel the power of the orb since he is in control of the wind.

Checking the map that aether had given me, I had seen that part of the world was now clear to see since Mondstadt and 7 other areas were now showing on the map since I knew that we were going to explore those areas.

I could not help but smile seeing that we were close to Mondstadt since it is just outside the whispering woods, and that was where we were going first since our first stop was Mondstadt since like what Paimon said, There'll definitely be someone there who knows about his sister.

Putting my map back in my bag I started to look over to Paimon who had just appeared out of nowhere and was now surprised by what she saw. "Ooh! Did you just feel the elements of the world? Seems all you had to do was just touch the statue and you got the power of Anemo!' she asked as aether nodded. "As much as they may want it, people in this world can never get a hold of powers as easily as you...' she explained as I walked over to them.

aether: 'i think I know why, it's because...' before he could finish Paimon went ahead and nodded confirming the question he was going to answer. 'Ah-ha it's because you're not from this world, to begin with. The same goes for Aden who is from his homeworld.' she said with a smile that was either a roast or a confirming that I am from earth.

Paimon: 'If we keep heading west from here, we'll eventually reach Mondstadt, the city of freedom.' she said as I looked at the city and smiled after hearing the word freedom since I knew that I was going to do a lot of exploring in the area once we do arrive at the city. and there was also a chance that I might take some photo's of the place and get a drink and a bite to eat since we were on our way here as Paimon continued explaining what Mondstadt, the city of freedom is.

Paimon: 'Mondstadt is the city of Wind because they worship the god of Anemo.' she explained to the two of us. 'so perhaps, because you got power from the god of Anemo, you can find some clues there.' she confirmed as she also wanted to bring up another thing.

Paimon: 'There are also lots of bards there, so perhaps one of them has heard News of your sister. let's move then!' she ordered as the two of us went ahead to Mondstadt, the city of freedom. as we did Paimon also went ahead and brought up another comment. 'The elements in this world responded to your prayers and Paimon thinks that a lovely sign.

Just as she said that we were met again with the slime creatures but this time they looked different. Instead of the blue color, they were red as if they were on fire or had come out of the lava. 'Aether' i yelled as he looked and began to go to work on the targets.

20 seconds later.

'That's all of them I think. yeah, that's all of them' i said as we looked around to see if any more were going to start popping up in this area. 'These are the Anemo powers you got from the statue of the seven.' Paimon said in excitement as I watched the fire burn and get put out quickly in the process. And as I looked over to where aether was when I walked over to him Paimon spoke again.

Paimon: 'Aww... Paimon's so jealous! Why doesn't Paimon get cool fighting powers?' she said as she was jealous! 'Well, Paimon that is because you float.' i finished as Paimon went silent on that comment.
