Chapter 7

( Before I start reading the chapter I want to clarify some things. First I would like to thank all the readers who left comments for the previous chapters. Secondly if this chapter does not have a title like the others it is for a good reason because after the remark of a reader on my way of writing I thought a lot and I thank him for having reported this because I questioned myself on my way of writing my story so that you can be fully satisfied and the way in which this chapter is written is different and I do not know how far I will advance in this chapter because it will be quite long and especially that I will make time jumps over several periods. We got into position Ryu and I then I started throwing the majority of the throws I knew with my maximum power.

My maximum throw speed is 165km/h. My throws look like gunshots for those who saw them for the first time it was impossible to follow them.

We were very happy because we accomplished one of our goals. When we finished we headed to the grounds where the other tests are taking place, we knew that Subaru was passing its test.

When we arrived with the coach Subaru was on the side with team captain Shoto Izui. They were talking and then came closer to us when they saw us.

We bowed then before waiting for the end of the test to join our parents before separating I wanted to talk to Ryu and Subaru.

"We're there guys the first goal is achieved now all we have to do is take care of the rest. »

As I spoke, I stretched out my arm, clenching my fist, the two of them smiled and did the same after that, we separated and I found my mother. She was very happy and proud.

"Congratulations So-kun when we get home I all want to know. You will tell us Mio will also want to know. »

After talking with her for a bit, we set off. We got home at the end of the afternoon, I went straight to take a shower and I fell asleep right after.

I woke up at night and went to the living room everyone was there. My older sister had returned from college and my father from his business trip. My dad knew I had to pass a test to get on the baseball team.

The end of the evening was spent in joy and good humor.

A few days have passed and the start of the school year is coming up, but before that I had to settle in the dorms of the baseball club with all those who were selected during the test.

So I prepare my things then I join my mother so that we can set off. She was a little sad because I wouldn't be home for a while for a while which I can understand.

After we finished everyone got into the car and we set off. 45 minutes later we arrived in front of the academy parking lot right next to the high school.

I took out my things and after chatting with my family for a while and saying goodbye to them I headed for the room that had been assigned to me. The room was located on the second floor of the dorms.

Opening the door two people were already inside, Izui-senpai and Kawabata-senpai. I found it funny that the captains of the team for the next two years ended up with me. The days passed quietly our trio stood out a lot they always played perfectly and even started to give advice to the team to improve. Thanks to his eyes the Emperor was quite easy for Sousuke to give directions.

The team has therefore improved a lot over the last few days and this has not gone unnoticed by the coach and managers. The coach wondered what was going on but his thoughts were interrupted by the arrival in his office of Izui and Sousuke.

Izui explained to the coach that if we could see a big improvement in the team it was because of Sousuke's help. Sosuke therefore spent some time with Coach Arai to review what there was to improve and the team's defeats. Sousuke even gave him these hypotheses on how to train the team to perform well for the summer championship.

The coach was surprised but he decided to trust him. Then the day of the new school year arrived I am in class 1-C and to my surprise Subaru and Ryu are also with me. I'm really happy because it's the first time we've been in the same class.

Few weeks later. After the end of the training the coach spoke.

"As you know we weren't able to qualify for the Kanto tournament but that's not a problem we have had training matches over several weeks until the summer tournament and from then on week. I also planned a week-long training camp to further work on our foundations. I will therefore hereby distribute the jersey numbers when your name is announced, please come forward to retrieve your number. »

The whole team was looking forward to this moment to find out if their efforts had paid off.

The twenty players of the first team were finally selected.

The days have passed and so have the preparation matches for the summer. To rotate the team and see how it is doing, the coach made Sousuke play only for one match as a pitcher. This is the match against Akikawa.

Personally I did not expect the coach to be able to organize a match against Akikawa but it was not so bad in the end I was eager to be able to compete with him.

Game day came quickly, we were already on the field when Akikawa High School arrived and I could see You Shunshin.

I really admired him for his love of Japanese baseball. After the warm-up the match has started we start in defense. Before the players dispersed on the field the coach spoke.

The batter went back to the bench with his legs shaking seeing that all the players were scared.

Of course none could hit my balls. After the hello they came back but before I talked to Shunshen he was really happy and really wants us to meet again.

Time passed quietly until the eve of the start of the summer tournament.

During all these weeks the team has really surpassed and reached a level rivaling other strong schools in Tokyo.

That night the first team players decided to gather to talk a bit. Speaking the captain spoke.

"Tomorrow the path we want to blaze will begin. You know I have a dream that I managed to share with you my teammates. I would like the whole team and myself to be able to play on the biggest national stage. Today we can aspire to this dream I am counting on you. »
