Bug Demon

The man was lying on the ground, his body the same as before, but his complexion had turned bright red.

Chen Feng took a step forward.

Suddenly, the body cracked open, revealing the white flesh inside. Strangely, there was no blood or internal organs within the corpse—only a vine-like tentacle. The tentacle writhed and slowly pointed in Chen Feng's direction.

A flaming sword appeared in Chen Feng's hand, the air around it filled with intense heat. In an instant, the sword slashed in an arc towards the tentacle.

The tentacle was severed, and a spray of milky-white liquid splattered onto the ground.

"What pathetic acting."

Chen Feng's eyes were cold as he muttered to himself.

The monster had transformed into the appearance of a man, intending to ambush its prey when they got close.

But after the tentacle was cut, the body suddenly began to melt, turning into a puddle of red liquid almost instantly. However, this liquid seemed to be alive, wriggling continuously on the ground.

"What the hell is this?"

Chen Feng raised his sword and stabbed it into the liquid. The high temperature burned it, evaporating half of the red substance.

A painful scream echoed from beneath the ground.

The earth began to tremble, and a tremor shook the area. Suddenly, a thick whip-like appendage lashed out from the ground, striking a tree trunk. The tree, as thick as a human thigh, was instantly split in two.

Chen Feng sprinted away, narrowly avoiding the attack.

This level of destruction wasn't something a Bronze Realm enemy could produce. Clearly, he had encountered a formidable foe.

A sound of something climbing echoed, and then a humanoid figure emerged. Though its shape was human, its body was covered in white mucus, its skin dotted with toad-like bumps, its teeth yellowed, and it emitted a nauseating stench.

"A Bug Demon!"

Chen Feng's eyes widened as he identified the creature.

It was a type of insect that liked to inhabit human bodies. Over time, it would merge with its host. Two whip-like insect limbs replaced its arms, and its face was covered in pustules that occasionally burst, releasing dark worms.

This was a creature from another dimension.

Unlike solitary creatures like Earth dragons, the Bug Demon was more like a insect queen. It had come here from a distant place, not just to kill and consume, but to establish its own brood.

It would find a human host, take over their body, and then search for a breeding chamber for its offspring.

Chen Feng caught a whiff of a pungent odor and looked toward the broken ground, where a bloated sphere appeared before his eyes.

It was a woman.

She could have been called a beauty.

But her body had swelled to unimaginable proportions, as large as a baby elephant. In front of her were piles of flesh, including beasts, humans, and some insects.

The woman, as if never knowing hunger, continuously opened her mouth to devour the flesh in front of her. Blood dripped from her mouth, and her skin quivered as if something was crawling beneath it, sending shivers down one's spine.

A breeding chamber.

The woman was the Bug Demon's breeding chamber for its larvae. It had laid eggs inside her, and then began feeding her large amounts of meat. Her insides had long been consumed, and now thousands of black worms filled her body. They looked like earthworms but were as thick as a baby's arm.

Once the larvae finished incubating, the worms would burst out of the woman's body like raindrops, attacking every living creature they encountered.

Thousands of worms would then move forward, crawling into their prey's mouth to control their thoughts and actions.

The Bug Demon was a very tricky enemy.

It posed a devastating threat to humanity.

All the mysteries were solved. Why was it so quiet here?

This was the Bug Demon's nest. It had used all the creatures here, whether zombies or humans, as nourishment for its larvae.

The Bug Demon's eyes were small but filled with malice, a stark contrast to its greasy white body. Its two arms were dark red, exuding a strong scent of blood.

It glared at Chen Feng with a flash of hatred in its eyes. After taking control of a body, the Bug Demon could even manipulate the host's consciousness—a worm with human memories!

This was a terrifying thought!

The Bug Demon stepped forward and quickly lunged at Chen Feng. Its speed was astonishing, and in its rage, it could perform some bizarre movements.

This is why the Bug Demon was considered such a formidable enemy.

It lashed its two arm-whips, generating enough power to cleave a human in two. Chen Feng had no intention of becoming a victim, so he used all his strength to dodge away.

The Bug Demon pursued relentlessly.

Chen Feng had destroyed its bait, rendering it unable to lure more prey. The breeding chamber required a large amount of food, and without bait, the Bug Demon would have to hunt for prey itself.

Seeing that his target was only dodging and not attacking, the Bug Demon's rage intensified. It suddenly leaped forward, and the whips on its arms whistled through the air again, like the tough vines of a forest, closing in on Chen Feng's body.

"This is it!"

In that instant, a deadly glint flashed in Chen Feng's eyes. He ducked beneath the lethal blow, not to retreat but to charge forward with ferocious intent. Flames ignited in his right hand as his body quaked like a starved beast unleashed from its cage, channeling pain into raw power. His mid-air strike came down with such force it felt as if it could tear the heavens apart!

The all-out attack was executed with near-perfect speed and precision. The Bug Demon had no time to react, taking the full force of the blow head-on!

The Bug Demon's body was pierced through by the blade!

Chen Feng didn't hesitate.

After landing the hit, he quickly withdrew his blade and awkwardly leaped out of the area.

He couldn't afford to hesitate.

He knew that a single strike wouldn't be enough to kill the Bug Demon. These creatures possessed an astonishingly resilient life force, and bringing one down would demand a steep cost.

The Bug Demon stood up, its eyes bloodshot, on the verge of a berserk rage!

Chen Feng's expression grew serious as he gritted his teeth, "My strength is nearly exhausted... I'll have to rely on external forces now."

He wasn't planning to escape.

The Bug Demon was a Silver-level creature, and Chen Feng had been roaming the Economic Development Zone for so long in search of a perfect sacrifice.

Its corpse would become the offering for Chen Feng's summoning ritual!
