Abyss Holder

In the desolate urban sprawl, there existed a boy named Steven – a name as commonplace as the concrete beneath his worn-out shoes. His figure, terribly slender, bore the weight of days without sustenance, a stark reflection of the harsh life within the shadows of the towering skyscrapers. His disheveled appearance spoke of deprivation; his clothing, little more than rags haphazardly sewn together, clung to his meager frame. Steven's features, though obscured by grime, revealed a haunting contrast. His black hair, adorned with a few rebellious red strands, framed a face marked by hardship. His pupils, black with a faint but discernible red tint, mirrored the desolation etched into his soul. Staring into the familiar darkness that enveloped his existence, Steven couldn't help but voice the silent question that echoed in his mind, "When is this going to end?" The abyss, seemingly attuned to his despair, responded with a transformative touch. The surroundings, once stagnant and oppressive, began to shift and change before him, trapping him in a perpetual cycle of witnessing his own tragic past unfold. Transported back to the age of six, Steven found himself amidst the warmth of familial joy, his parents' and his own expressions radiating happiness. Yet, even in the midst of this fleeting respite, the relentless cycle persisted, as if destiny reveled in replaying the moments that fueled the flames of his recurrent nightmares. Fighting against the inexorable pull of his haunting memories, Steven, like a slum-bound ghost, yearned for an end to the perpetual loop. The city's towers cast long shadows over his struggle, and the contrast between the opulence above and his desolation below fueled his determination for a better life. In the midst of this dire reality, Steven's path took an unexpected turn when he made the resolute decision to enlist in the military. The armed forces, a gateway to opportunity and escape from the slum's oppressive grasp, promised a chance to break free from the shackles of his impoverished past. Little did Steven know that his journey would extend far beyond the familiar streets of the slums. The military, equipped with advanced technology and knowledge of other dimensions, opened doors to realms previously unimaginable. As he explored new universes and studied the cosmic mysteries, Steven's quest for a better life evolved into a cosmic odyssey, challenging not only the limits of his physical existence but also the boundaries of reality itself. Throughout this transformative journey, Steven, emotionally reserved and scarred by the echoes of his past, found solace in the bonds forged amidst the trials of the military. Trust and love became the cornerstones of his emotional awakening, as he learned to unveil the layers of vulnerability hidden beneath his stoic exterior. As Steven navigates the interwoven tapestry of action, tragedy, romance, sci-fi, adventure, and dimensions, the narrative expands to reflect the complexity of his existence. The story, no longer confined to the limitations of the slums, becomes a symphony of emotions, echoing the resilient spirit of a young man determined to transcend the shadows of his past and embrace the limitless possibilities that unfold across the cosmic expanse.

LOOT

After a few hours, I found myself in the presence of two indistinguishable bodies.

I gazed at the bodies of all the individuals I had slain when I had calmed down. I hadn't paid attention before, but now that I was in the correct state of mind, I could feel my stomach churning and bile rising into my mouth.

After I had calmed down, I walked toward the bodies and began searching them. At first, I felt that I was disgracing the deceased, but when I remembered all the pain and misery they caused me, my hesitancy vanished, and I searched for whatever I could discover about them.

On the small fry, I discovered a few storage devices. I checked and discovered at least 50,000 Raven Credits (RC) on each individual and various food dimensional containers. I went to the unrecognizable buff dude after looting all the little fry. He was wearing a dimensional storage device that had some clothes that I couldn't wear since they were too big for me, as well as 200 thousand RC on. I also discovered a keycard on him that had no marks on it.

I peered at the door after looting the people inside. I could leave this room and look for an exit, but there may be more people outside.

I might have to fight more when I get out of here, and even if I do, where should I go? There may be other people in the slums who will come after me, so I can't return, and if I'm in the city, what will I do when people see a kid covered in blood...some may help me and call the authorities or an ambulance for me, but they may steal all my loot, and I can't allow that happen. I decided to wander around this building and loot everything worth selling or saving after some thought.

and may very well kill everyone still inside the structure. After considering everything, I picked up the katana that one of the small fries had dropped and went for the door. When I arrived at the door, I carefully opened it and peered around. I was in some type of corridor, and after glancing about to check if anyone was there, I proceeded down to the left towards the nearest door.

There were no sounds from within, so I went in and discovered a room full of weapons. There were several sorts of firearms in there that I had no idea how to use, so I simply exited the area and continued to investigate one room after another.

After a time, I came upon a room with some noise coming from within and people inside. I crept in by softly opening the door. I approached four individuals who were playing cards, smiling and enjoying themselves from behind, and stabbed one of them through the heart. He died silently, and the other three were shocked, but before they could utter a word, I blasted two mana bullets into them, killing them instantly. Regarding the last person who attempted to reach for what I assumed was a communicator. I severed his arm with my mana-clad hand, covered his mouth with the other, and murmured, "Don't make any noise."

"oh, and if you do, I might cut something more essential than a hand, you could never be able to have children, and as a male, I'd think that's more horrific than losing your life," I said innocently. When he heard Steven's word, a shudder ran down his spine, and just as he was ready to respond, Steven began speaking again "Tell me all you know about this location. How many people are present, where is the precious resource, where is the exit, and finally, where is this location?"

"This is downtown the city Y-25," the man gasped. I secretly breathed a sigh of relief because y-25 was the city directly next to the slums, which indicated he wasn't carried far. As the man briefed Steven about the location, he told steven how many personnel were at the facility in total, including their boss, who Steven had killed, and where the storage and severance rooms were. After gathering all of the necessary facts, I stated, "I see thank you, I will offer you a painless death." When the guy heard this, his expression froze and he quickly responded, "but you said you'd let me live." I chuckled when I heard this.

"I said I won't cut your thing not your life," I answered, thrusting the katana directly through his heart, killing him instantly. After that, I traveled all across the base, killing almost 50 individuals all in secret after killing the people in the severance room and shutting down the system. I looted all of their bodies and eventually found myself in front of the storage area. This chamber required a keycard, which I obtained from the burley guy. So I stepped inside and unlocked the door. What I saw inside made my heart skip a beat. There were containers filled with RC and excellent weaponry, as well as texts about mana and martial arts

Everything I uncovered was promptly placed inside a bigger storage container. I eventually made my way to the shower area and took a shower to get all the blood off of me. After that, I went to the locker room and looked around for anything to wear, finding a black t-shirt, a black hood, and black pants. When I looked in the mirror and noticed that my hair was covering my face, I tied it back. I was now ready to go and enjoy a pleasant life, so I exited the base, and the brilliant sunlight greeted me as soon as I opened the exit..
