Road Trip, III

"Eh… Ehhhhhhhhhhhhh!?!?"

A loud yell was heard throughout the room, my body sprang up as if I was getting attacked by a bear.

"W-W-What are you doing all cuddled up in the bed?! D-D-Did you do it?!"

"Huh? Do what?" I frowned, confused at his question.

Well, I was confused until I took a look at the bed. Seren was there lying with one button of her pajamas unbuttoned, her bosom more visible than usual.

'Don't look Elias… Don't look!' I tried encouraging myself to not look, I buttoned her shirt back and turned towards Sean, "This is not how it looks like."

"How?" He continued speaking with a high tone as if trying to wake everyone up. I don't know how Seren still isn't up, she's still sleeping like a log. Was she ever such a heavy sleeper? No, it couldn't be, after all, she's the one who always wakes me up.

"Listen here, Sean! Some stuff happened yesterday and that's why we are in this situation right now." I explained it vaguely to him. "Do you get it?" I asked once more.

"No!" he still replied.

"Heh, could it be that you're jealous?" I asked him while smirking.

"N-n-no it's just indecent…" said Sean as he trailed off and got embarrassed.

"Don't worry Sean nothing happened," I told him with a normal tone.

"Hm?" I tilted my head as I noticed the door opening once more.

"What happened… Oh okay, uh, I'm not going to intrude here…There seems to be some tension in the air right now…"

The one who showed up through the opened gate was the one and only, Luke, talking awkwardly after barging into this situation.

"You, don't misunderstand!" I immediately called out to Luke.

A woman's groaning was next heard, she was sitting on the bed while rubbing her temples, she then started talking sluggishly while yawning, "Humph, huh whash going on guys…Are we holding a party?" and of course, she asked a weird question for a just woken up person.

Soon after she realized that we all were in the same room with her while she was sleeping "Huh? You, you guys what are you doing here!?" she finally made a reasonable question.

"Oh, we? We just came to wake you up since it is the first day in the resort town!" Said Luke.

I whispered to Luke as I whipped my right thumb and said "Nice cover!" Luke nodded as if saying, "Always!" With a thumbs up too.

Suddenly my eyes got swayed when I looked at Seren, by the window behind her. I once again was entranced by the beauty of this world.

I gazed outside into the far horizon my eyes reached. White, the ground, mountains, houses, and trees, were all clad with a cloak of beautiful soft white. Slowly, millions of white flakes were falling over the vicinity without stopping.

Snow was a normal occurrence in this world. Compared to Nexus this is great, it isn't just the same repetition of sunny and rainy days. Getting to witness and feel snow up close was quite the new feeling.

My eye movement was noticed and followed by the trio. It seems they also were charmed by the appealing sight.

"Whoa, it's beautiful!" Said Seren energetically.

"Yeah, I would never get tired of this sight." Agreed Luke.

"It's just snow guys…It's cold and I don't like it." Frowned Sean.

"Let's get changed and eat breakfast guys!" I was the one to initiate the action of the squad here.

"Yep, let's get on with it!" Luke tried to encourage the dumb duo to move.

After that he left the room, following soon after behind him was Sean, which left me alone with the only woman in the squad, Seren.

"Um, I guess you should also go change Seren…" I trailed off.

Too awkward!! I screamed in my head thinking about how we would interact with each other after what happened yesterday.

"Oh yeah. Sorry, I will get going now, ahaha…" Seren got up all embarrassed and approached the door while stuttering.

She reached out for the handle.

I called out to her in a calm voice "Seren."

She turned her head back and looked at me with her raven, twinkling eyes.

"Yeah?" she answered.

"It's kind of embarrassing and awkward for me to say this but… About yesterday night… Thank you." I turned my back to her out of the embarrassment I had.

I heard a soft chuckle behind my back "You're always welcome to come and cry to me when you're feeling sad." She grinned mischievously.

"Shut up!" I responded in annoyance.

"Come on, go and change already or we'll be late!" I hurried her to get out of the room because of my burning face and ears.

"Yeah yeah, I am going, and don't worry I won't tell the boys about your crying." She once more teased me.

"Ugh!" Her head jerked back as my bootie slipper made contact with her forehead.

"Get out!"

"Haha, I'm gone now!" she said while she ran off to her room.

"Getting to train in the snow…" How about we hold a snow training session?
