Emotional Damage, that's what Cynthia felt when she came home and found her parents waiting for her and getting spanked by her mother. She could not believe that she, a sixty eight years old woman by heart was getting spanked by someone half her age and then got grounded for one week! The spanking did not even hurt that much but her emotions were!

But, the silver lining was that she now had more free time to continue the exploring her abilities. She did exercises in her little room everyday after school, from meditation to martial arts to knife wielding. She came to know she was an absolute genius. She only tried everything once and everything was ingrained into her brain and muscles!

"If this is not a cheat I don't know what is," she said to herself looking at the stone she just cut to a hundred pieces in a second with just a knife. A kitchen knife! "What kind of damage can I do with a sword?"

Also, she came to know that her height was increasing everyday. Everyone chalked it up to puberty and just left it at that but she knew that it was her body's way of bringing itself to be battle ready. It was not practical for a loli to just straight up steam roll everyone. Now, she was standing at 1.6m. Her hair was black, falling to her shoulders, her eyes, black and her body slender but packing muscles hidden under her clothes.

"Alright, here's your phone back," her mother said, giving back her device after serving her time. Quickly, she went to Amy's school news and smirked seeing the comments of everyone regarding Gary and his friends been beaten up by a little girl per what the witnesses said. Basically, his popularity took a nosedive and now even nerds were bullying him.

"Good ending for a bully, I suppose," she said to herself with a satisfied grin while going to her room. As she sat on her bed, her mind suddenly thought of something.

'What kind of future do I have? These powers give me a kind of responsibility I cannot ignore,' she thought before sitting even more upright unconsciously. Ever since her powers awakened, everything from her way of thinking to her posture changed to that of a seasoned warrior. She found herself always sitting with her back straightened, both feet on the ground and in a position for faster reaction. Her walking was quiet, light and at the same time very much alert! Her eyes would dart all over, observing and scrutinizing every small detail and she herself did not know it yet. Her sister unconsciously felt more safe in her presence so they had always gone to school and came back home together.

'Been a villians is off the table. Why? If she was alone it would have been a good choice. Become a merc, make money by protecting people like Luther which in conjunction meant going against Superman which also meant going against the Justice League. But, having a family has already made me decide to go through the hero route. But not just any kind of hero, Red Hood kind of hero,' she thought to herself. She did not need to get into the little Justice League club to be a hero that can protect her city properly, she just had to be competent enough to do and she was very much competent.

'But, I will need a combat suit, weapons, ammunition and a base of operation. Weapons and ammunition I can get fairly quickly, just hit a gang hangout and I would be set for life. I could get money this way too,' she thought before getting off her bed. She went into her closet and picked a black scarf and a black hood which she wore. She then wore black jeans and black sneakers before going to the kitchen where their mother was working.

"Cynthia, your father and I will be working late tonight. So, your sister is in charge," she said, making Cynthia groan as usual.

"Fine," she sighed before been kissed on the cheek by her mother who packed her dinner into a courier bag and walked out. Amy walked into the kitchen, eyes on her phone.

"I am having a couple of friends over tonight. If you keep it quiet in your room I won't care what you do," Amy said in a matter of fact way.

"What if I were to play porn out loud from my phone?" Cynthia teased, making Amy look up at her.

"Then I'll break down your door and kick the shit out of you," she said seriously before walking out. Cynthia smiled softly before eyeing the kitchen knives. Her eyes gained a cold gleam as she picked one of them, hid it in her scarf and walked out of the kitchen.

"I'm going to my room," she told Amy who was not even listening. As any younger sibling would do, she snatched her phone, turning off the wifi in a second, threw it to the other couch and fled to her room, leaving Amy swearing up a storm behind her. She lock d at he door to ensure her safety and sat on a chair where she took out the knife in her hand.

"This will be the beginning of the rest of my life. Today, I become a vigilante," she said solemnly, eyeing the knife. But the mood was ruined by Amy banging on her door.

"You better stay locked in there or I will hit the slap out of your hair!" Amy swore before shuffling away angrily. Cynthia snikered at the threat before closing her eyes in meditation, waiting.

Los Angeles was a perfect place for most gang affiliated criminals. Why? Because the people of Los Angeles live in a city that is just prime land. They have Hollywood actors who are just addicted to drugs. Rich second generation assholes throwing parties every single day. People who try to emulate the rich and ending up becoming drug junkies, children of the people who failed at their dream now prime to be indoctrinated into gangs and the best of all, Mexico was just a close by.

Drug trafficking, weapon smuggling, mules and anything illegal that can be used to make a huge profit was going in in the underground of this city. Cynthia knew of it but she had never tried to look into it because she chose to be powerless in her last life. Now, she had power and a knife so it was time to stare at the abyss and not flinch when it star d back.

She had snuck out of her room using the window when Amy's friends came over. She knew her sister would not even think she was sneaking out because she had been living ias a true shut in all her twelves years here. With a hood on, scarf covering half her face, knife tucked on her waist and rooftops as her highway, she made her way around the city, heading to a place where she knew there was a gang hideout.

They called themselves the Brotherhood, one of the largest gangs in LA. They mainly comprised of African-Americans but lately, they have been accepting caucasians.

She arrived at the building the Brotherhood gang was hiding out and she decided to watch for a few minutes. She needed to know the best way in and the best way out before bursting inside, knife a-stabbing.

She saw a secret entrance in the form of a small hole on the roof making her smile behind her scarf. She jumped into the roof, landing so quietly a cat would have died of jealousy at the sight. Without even making a single noise, she squeezed through the hole and landed just as quietly onto a metal beam. She was now inside the building and it was time to set her Vigilante days in motion.

She set her eyes on her first target, a sniper. She walked right above him on the beam before jumping down so lightly he did not even feel the breeze. She suddenly got hold of his forehead from behind, lifting his head up to expose his throat and the kitchen tasted human blood for the first time. Blood sputtered on the stained glass and she let the body hit the floor as she got hold of the silenced sniper.

She used it to spy on the four guards outside the building before she targeted the first two. When the two guards' head were about to interlap in a second, she fired the sniper, making two heads burst open in a shower of brain matter, bones and blood. The third guard near them was stunned and a hot bullet burst open his head too. The fourth guard was oblivious to this and thus never saw it coming when his cheat was ripped open and he died with a shocked look on his face.

"Guards done," Cynthia said to herself before wiping her fingerprints off the rifle using a piece of cloth she ripped out of the sniper's t-shirt. She took his pistol and its holster, strapped it on her right thigh and she was back to hunting the people inside the building.

Using the beams, she moved quietly and quickly, assassinating each and everyone she met with such ease it was scary. In half an hour, there was no living human in the building except herself. Corpses with their throats cut open strewn the floors, leaving a scary picture of silent assassination. The last person she had killed was the person leading the Brotherhood, while he was in his office. Kicking the corpse off the office chair, Cynthia sat on it and started perusing the documents on the desk.

"Hmm, interesting," she said when she read from a red covered book. It spoke of the man's self made bunker in the abandoned subway tracks. Apparently, he had stashed all types of guns, food, beverages, ammunition and a smuggled in bike used for a hit and run kind of assassination.

"This will come in handy," Cynthia said with a chuckle before climbing to the vent as she got in.
